Hi,My TV setup currently consists of 5 (3 in front and 2 surround) overhead speakers and a Sonos sub. I’m interested in getting a Sonos arc as I’m very happy with its audio quality and Dolby atmos sound. However I don’t want to have Sonos ones as surround speakers as I would like to maintain the clean aesthetic of in wall speakers. Is is possible to combine the Sonos arc with in wall speakers to achieve a full surround setup. Thanks for any help.
Looking to get the SONOS Arc and Sub. I’m a little confused/concerned about hooking it up to my system. Currently I run the following into my Pioneer receiver:Cox Cable BoxSONOS Port (to stream music into current home theatre speakers)Blue Ray disc playerApple TV The receiver then controls the sounds that are sent into the speakers via wires. As I understand it, setting up the ARC, I would connect the ARC to the HDMI (ARC) connector of the TV. My TV, Pioneer Viera VT30 has just one HDMI (ARC) connection. This requires that I connect the Cox Cable box directly to the TV, presumably to one of the other HDMI connections.Would I then connect the Blue Ray player and the Apple TV directly to the TV? If this is the case, it seems that my receiver would become unnecessary. Thank you for your time to review my questions.
Hi allA convert to Sonos now I have sold my Logitech squeezebox collection. I have a Sonos one which I love and now have an itch to upgrade my sound bar to a beam. Question is, will I notice a significant improvement from my 10 year old Yamaha YHT S400, side by side listening comparisons will be difficult if not impossible I think. Thanks in advance.
Hi Everyone,I currently own a Sonos Connect and a Booster.I want to add a beam or arc, subwoofer and two speakers for my system.I want to add these products for my TV but also to be able to play my turn table through it.Is the connect I own enough to do this?My turntable is preamp.Thank you,Giacomo
We would like to add surround sound to our Master Bedroom, and we are looking to use the Sonos Wall or Ceiling Speakers along with the Arc and a Subwoofer but we have some questions. Our dimensions are 18’4” x 14’6”:How many speakers would we need, aside from the Arc and the Subwoofer? For the rear speakers would you recommend Wall Speakers at mid back wall, or Ceiling Speakers?Would you recommend Stand Speakers (play 1, etc.) instead of the Ceiling or Wall Speakers? If money were no problem, how would you design your perfect Home theater in a bedroom?
Hi, I recently purchased a Sonos Amp but have decided against the upgrade for now from my ZP100 so want to return it. It hasnt been opened or used. I see there is an RMA form i need but i cant speak to anyone on chat as its too busy and cant contact by phone. Anyone from Sonos able to get me the form. Have got 95 days left :)
Boost says it creates a dedicated wireless network for my Sonos products to utilize. Does this make it so I’m not clogging up my home WiFi? In other words, when I’m trying to work on a VPN and my kid is playing PS4 streaming games, and my daughter is streaming Roblox on the computer and my other kid is watching Youtube and I have all my Sonos speakers playing music my work computer can get a little slow because I’m probably clogging up my wifi network with all that is going on. Does Boost untether my Sonos speakers from the home Wifi thus freeing up bandwidth? I’m a little fuzzy on what Boost actually does and how it helps.
Can I apply the Trade Up 30% discount from a Connect to a Beam or an Arc?
Any Sonos wireless speaker available in Australia with SD card slot to plug in and play music as another option to Wi-fi and Bluetooth?

Hi all -I currently have a Beam and set of Play:3 speakers. I’m looking to purchase the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable. Are all 3 compatible with each other? If so, since the turntable has a built-in amp, will I need anything else to get it to play on the Beam and Play:3 speakers? I REALLY appreciate the feedback as I’m having trouble figuring this out. **ugh, I need to proofread before posting...*help**
I have an old Bose Lifestyle 30 that sounds great. What Sonos kit would I need to put Spotify though the Bose speakers and what connections would I use? Thanks
Do the stands I purchsed for SONOS PLAY 5 gen1 fit the new PLAY 5?
Hello, looking for help in selecting the perfect setup and after reading everything i could on the Sonos site and in forums, im even more confused. Never had a Sonos system before. My old Yamaha receiver just dies so looking for something i can use throughout the entire house wirelessly. My needs are for mostly music, but will be playing the music from my TV (connected to Nvidia Shield that streams from various services). I also watch movies from time to time, but music audio is whats most important. Price is not an issue, looking for best quality possible and i do at times like to listen very loud.I'm trying to decide between:an Arc, Sub + Play1 x2 (concerned how music will sound with a 5.1 entertainment setup)VsPlay5 x2 + Sub (concerned about how to control this through my TV/NVIDIA Shield box?)VsArc, Sub + Play5 x2 (read online i cant play the Arc and Play 5 together with the sub. Not sure if that is true.)I also plan on peppering some Play1's around the house here and there and need
All I would need is a line in from my dj controller to Sonos port? Wanted to confirm this before making the purchased.
Hello. My Arc order has been on “Dispatch Acknowledged” for a couple days and was wondering how long the turnaround time is from this status to shipped? Thanks.
Besides the playbase, arc and beam, does Sonos offer any speakers that I could use for my TV?
I am a long term (10+years) owner of SONOS equipment.I have (spread around the house) 2x 5’s 4x 1’s a sound bar and a sub.2 of the 1’s, the sound bar and the sub are my TV sound system.I am moving to a larger house that will support a much bigger TV.In order to have a ‘proper’ 5.1 surround system I want to add a pair of L+R front speakers.Bearing in mind that I do not want, nor have the cash, to upgrade all my SONOS kit to the newer versions, i need a solution that will work with the original hardware.Ideally I would like a pair of floor standing speakers for L+R fronts, the sound bar to act as the centre front speaker and the 1’s (or of possible the 5’s) to act as the rears.I dont think the sound bar gives a wide enough sound stage for true 5.1 surround sound.I have looked at the various kit that SONOS provides and I’m torn between a device that will connect the SONOS system to a standard HiFi A/V amp, but I’m not sure that will give me a signal to the sound bar /sub /rears, or just u
I have a home theater that is 32 deep and 24 feet wide. I currently have a 15ft screen (unsure of acoustic transparency but the installer told me people put speakers behind them all the time without issue) that I use as both a golf simulator and a movie screen.Going to put a sonos system in. Current thoughts: 1- Arc (behind the screen) 1- Sub (unsure of placement but open to ideas) 2 - side/rear spears - (either fives or ones) A few questions: Is this overkill? How bad will it be if the screen isn't acoustically transparent to put a speaker behind it? Should I pick the fives or the ones? Are fives overkill? Where should I put sub? Anything else I am missing? Thanks in advance!
I am updated to Sonos and have an extensive Sonos network— I want to add N external CD player—what equipment do I need?someone told me that to do this I needed Sonos to be on a separate network from my wireless networkthat doesn’t make sense to me thanks
I am looking to buy Sonos equipment for my vacation house. I was looking for the Sonos Arc, the Amp, a pair of outdoor speakers by Sonance (built in partnership with Sonos). I’d probably need a Boost as well. I’m seeing no availability at all. From Sonos, the Arc will ship “from November 27th”. I’d really like to get them much sooner than that. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I might find these products within 2 weeks?
I currently play my music through a Sonos play 3 And am thinking of buying a Sonos one gen 2 will these pair up ok as there will be both Olin the same room
Hello,I Have a medium size family room that I want to set up 5.1 surround sound. Just wondering if I could use Arc as the Center, left and right speaker. Then the sub. And 2 of sonos wired ceiling speakers as rear surround for the surround system. (I understand I need the sonos amp for the 2 ceiling speaker). However, do I need to have a receiver to get surround sound if I want them all to work together? How would the Arc, sub and 2 ceiling speakers work as a 5.1 system?I understand for ambient whole house I need 1 amp for each of the 2 ceiling speaker. That part is easy to grasp but I’m stuck at the surround sound concept. Please help. Thanks so much!
