I've done some research but just want to make sure I'm right. I have an LG C9 TV, Xbox One X, Apple TV 4K and a Nintendo Switch. For all my devices to work correctly with both 5.1 and Atmos I'll need to wait for the LPCM update from Sonos? I currently have the beam but I understand it'll never do LPCM 5.1 for my Nintendo Switch.Thank you :)
I have 2 5’s 2 1’s and a sub. I am having trouble getting it to connect to my samsung Q60 75 inch Tv. I am trying to connect them through wifi. Is that even doable. The tv has no rca port. Any and all help and advice will be much appreciated. Thanks. Q. Have a nice day!!
it is very difficult to place the mount and not put the active wire (fire code issues) in the wall. i can tightly curl it up but it really doesnt work. do they make a small arc cord? thanks
I’m thinking of replacing a Beam with Arc and was wondering if the plate that attaches to the speaker itself can be interchanged on the Sanus Beam tv mount. This would prevent having to take the TV down and reinstall the whole ARC TV mount.
Hi everyone - we’ve recently brought a new house and wanted to purchase a multi-room sound system and have been recommended Sonos. We have thought about buying the Arch - connected to our TV via HDMI cable and two Move systems, one for upstairs and one for the downstairs / garden. I’ve got a few questions and would be very grateful for any advice or info… Can we ‘pair’ all three of the above speakers so we can play music throughout the house at the same time? We have two iphones (iphone 11 and 12) can we play different music through ‘paired’ speakers, i.e. my wife wants to listen to something upstairs and I want to listen to something different in the garden? How does the app work? do we log-in to app and then link our Apple Music account, so we can use voice control? can more than one person have the app on their phone or tablet? Thanks, Matt
I have a white arc and want to wall mount it but can only find the bracket in black. Does this matter? Will the black be visible? I can see other soundbars come with wall brackets in the same colour.
i have the white sonos arc. do they make sonos mount in white or only black. can i paint the mount white if no white?
I have the beam (just got it) so far really good. I’m wanting to get a couple rear speakers and was curious which of these two to get. Only difference is the voice control. I may also use these to take out side etc for the near future. Only 50 bucks difference surrently tha k you
I’m looking to merge my 5.1 non-sonos theatre system to control via sonos app. I want to be able to run it through a anthem 520 receiver, and be able to switch inputs from games consoles, to blue ray player, to media. I’m thinking the sonos port may be able to control this. I have a zone 2 tv setup in a different room, connected via hdmi to that same receiver, this way I can use game console, blue ray player on both TV’s. my zone 2 audio is sonos 5.1, with a sub, playbar, and 2 paired play:3. i want to be bale to control this through sonos app aswell.I don’t wan to have to have a bunch of different remotes, and/or apps to control all of these. I want the ease of turning it all on/off and switching inputs with tops 2 apps.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Theatre room-martin logan motion left/centre/right-Soundstage left/right surround-samsung smart 75Q80TZONE 2-Playbar-sub-paired play:3-samsung 6 series (65)I a
Hi there, First time posting - I’m looking to upgrade my Play:1 and ZP90… when I log on I can see that the Play:1 is eligible for a 15% credit, but the ZP90 doesn’t seem eligible… It’s weird as the only info it says in the upgrade section is ‘S1 ONLY’ - exactly the reason I want to upgrade…! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Mike
I purchased a Port to work with my existing amp and speakers. Since then the amp has stopped working and I have decided to go all in with Sonos. All I have from Sonos is the Port. I want to play music in my living room, connect my turntable (which is in an adjacent room) and connect via audio cable to my existing outdoor speakers. My thought was that I need an Amp and could hook my Port into my turntable allowing it to connect to the network. Then get a speaker for the main room and hook that and the current outdoor speakers to the Amp. Does that sound correct? Are there better options?
I am in the process of upgrading my family room home theater system with a new television/Xbox Series X/Sonos ARC. We do a significant amount of online gaming and I am concerned about multiple blogs complaining about in-game audio lag with this setup. This appears to be an issue across multiple setups including non-SONOS sound bars. Before I spend a ton of cash I am wondering if there is an inherent problem with the console>TV>eARC>soundbar format with gaming specifically. I envision that there is limited ability to adjust AV sync with online gaming since it is quite important not to have a delay in either in this environment. For reference my current set up is XBOX One X with audio directly out to Playbar via optical and HDMI to my television with no delay issues but obviously only outputting 5.1.
I’ve tried searching the forum but can’t find a solution. Our Samsung Q75T TV currently feeds our Sonos Beam via the HDMI-ARC socket on the TV. I need to extract the audio from this feed so that I can drive a pair of headphones at the same time as feeding the Beam. The extraction can either be analogue or digital. Is there a gadget that I can insert thus ?Samsung Q75T. > HDMI > gadget > HDMI > BeamTIA
Hi, I’m trying to get over 2 issues of the lack of AP2 on my existing system.I have the following setup:room 1 - 1 x Play:1room 2 - 1 x Play:1room 3 - 2 x Play:1 (stereo)room 4 - 1 x Connect1) i’m thinking of buying one more (I really didn’t want to have to do this!) Speaker - Sonos 1SL, adding this to the system and grouping this to all the non AP products. Will this allow me to play music from IOS devices? I believe so….but if one device is playing via AP in room 1, will this allow another person to stream via a NAS for instance in room 2?2) will adding this AP device to my system allow you to stream BBC sounds from an IOS device? - due to The BBC falling out with Tunein! thanks for any advice in advance
Hi there. I have two sonos one SL speakers in my kitchen which I have paired and work well. My kitchen is 9m x 3m with the speakers positioned at each end of the room. I am thinking about adding a further speaker to the set up and am wondering whether a Five or a Sub would be the best next speaker to add? Any advice would be appreciated.
What’s the current position re trade up?For example, as I understand it the unit no longer gets bricked, can continue to be used and can even be sold.If so, what is the downside? i.e. if the discount simply sits there forever and the kit works exactly the same, then why wouldn’t everyone trigger a trade-up for every piece of kit ‘just in case’?Or am I missing something?
I am thinking of replacing a ZP80 which is currently connected to a Yamaha DSP AX763 amp This provides surround sound to 5 wired speakers & Sub, with connections to a DVD Player and an LG Smart TV with an optical connection.I’ve read on here that the Sonos Port is the replacement, but also read reviews how poor it is in sound quality compared to the Sonos Amp. Questions - are the reports right on the Port?If I replaced the Zp80 with a Port would I still be able to still use all the current connections?Would I be better with the Amp and could it replace the Yamaha ?As you may guess confusion reignsThanks - David
I have a Sonos play bar and was wondering what are the best sonos speakers that will hook up with play bar? I want to place a wireless speaker on an end table so I can hear It better
I still don’t have any sonos product but I’m thinking about buying some of them for my house. I want to buy a pair of outdoor speaker and conect them to Amp and my turn table for my terrace. My question is, can i have a Five speaker inside my house and group it with amp in order to listen the same inside and outside? Thanks
My Sonos 1 Gen 2 has dropped off my app my other speaker is still in use, I’ve followed all advice on internet, turning on and off plugged into router nothing is working?
Hi, begrudgingly having to replace my connect as the connect is the beginning of my mesh network & I will not be able to separate my system. Any forum members picked up a Port to replace their connect? I am running my current Connect through an Arcam Rdac into a classic NAD 3020. Any one experienced a degradation in sound quality using the Port? The recent ‘What Hifi’ review has made this potential purchase even more of a quandary. Didn't fancy shelling out the £279 before. The fact that this might actually be an inferior product to the connect makes me doubt it even more. i don’t want to get into a ‘bun fight’ about DACs & ‘subjectivity’ only want to hear from people who have actually upgraded please Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, i’m inteesting in buying arc sonos but i’m indecided because from some reviews i read that to take advantage of the dolby atmos sound technology you need a tv that supports this type of signal, so to take advantage of the dolby atmos technology or does the dolby atmos audio signal pass through the classic hdmi? Otherwise i’ll have to change the tv too, thanks.
HiI might buy an Arc today (its on sale) but wanted to ask a couple of questions first.I have a LGC8 (65”) with a PC and a PS5 connected to it. Today I have two audio pro t8 with the audio pro sub connected to it. But I never play music on this system, just games and movies//tv shows. And the audio is not very good since its a bit too low when speaking and then very loud when action. So a bit annoying when the kids are watching something :) so. Ive been looking at the arc, partly because its white and supposed to be very good. I will not listen to music and I have no other sonos products. Here are my questions.is it “stupid” to buy a sonos sound bar when not using the sonos system in the rest of the house? can I connect the audio pro sub to the arc? Thought this would be a good way to save money instead of buying a sonos sub… thanks a lot. Im a total sound noob, and is really not interested in this at all but want it to look good and sound good. Not even sure how to connect my product
Various issuesJust cuts out whenever it feels like it 2. Can’t connect to Spotify message 3. Cannot conne t to apple messagetried all fixestried hard wiring/ethernet, line in.restatred and replaced router several timesyes, we have poor internet always. Can someone recommend a company who makes good speakers that work just with Bluetooth and do not need the Internet? Sonos has been a rather painful waste of money and time. Thank you!
I placed an order on Dec 9th. The site said expecting to start delivery on Dec 18th. This is a Christmas present and I was hoping I can get it before the Christmas day. Send a ticket on Dec 20th and noone call back within 24hours as said in the email. Check the order status again on Dec 21st and still saying backorder. Use the chat and the technician said he can’t help and ask me to call 800-680-2345 opt 4 for any question regarding my order. However, the phone system said no sales agent available and cannot even leave a message. Now Christmas is passed and my order still showing ‘backorder’ as status, I want to cancel it now because is too late already. How can I do that asap?
