What to get

Have existing in ceiling speakers in two different rooms (2 speakers in each room).  The speaker wires terminate in a  media cabinet.  I bought a Sonos amp to drive the speakers and can now use the Sonos app to listen to music on these speakers.  I also have a turntable in the living room that I want to listen to on these speakers.  I bought a Sonos port and connected the turntable to it via rca jacks, line in.  I tried to Group the port and amp but I can’t get the turntable sound from any of the speakers.  Am I close to a solution?

hello,i have recently bough a sonos arc and 2 sonos Era 100 for my living room and kitchen.i have an open area with the kitchen and the living room.the area of the living room (about 45 sqm) has the TV with the sonos ARC and 2 sonos era 100. I would like to improve the whole room (living room+kitchen) but i don´t know what is the best option.may be +2 Era100 in the  area of the kitchen?may be +1 sonos five in the area of the kitchen????I don´t have for the moment a sub, and i´m not thinking in one, because the sound is great only with the ARC + 2ERA100.and i don´t have them as surround, may be it´s also a mistake.i use it more for music than for films. thanks in advance for your ideas !!    

I have a 75” Roku tv in my medium sized bedroom. Wondering if the arc ultra provides enough bass and will fill the room as a standalone. If I’m going to end up needing a sub I’d likely go with the beam 2 with sub mini. But I like the idea of a single unit, as well as the aesthetics of the bigger bar with that size TV. Thanks!

I would love to get your suggestions for speaker choices. I am focusing on two spaces, both rectangular without any interior walls: an open-concept space (kitchen/dining/living), 14ft x 25ft with 10ft ceilings [4.3m x 7.6m x 3m] a home office, 14ft x 14ft with 9ft ceilings [4.3m x 4.3m x 2.7m] I listen to a lot of music (mostly EDM, downtempo, R&B, lo-fi) and a fair amount of podcasts. Based on what I've read so far, I might want some combination of Era 100, Era 300 and/or Five for the two spaces. For the larger space (350sqft / 32sqm), I could place one speaker at either end of the space, both facing toward the center. Or I could place one speaker closer to the center along a wall. What would you think of:2x Era 100, with or without mini Sub 2x Era 300 1x Five 2x FiveFor the smaller space (200sqft / 18sqm), would 1x Era 100 along a wall be sufficient to fill the room with sound and not feel that it is just coming from one direction? Would 2x Era 100 be recommended? What about 1x

Hello. I've always used traditional passive speakers with an integrated amplifier, but recently, I've become fascinated by wireless speakers. While browsing online, I was drawn to the Sonos Five, and I'm considering purchasing a pair. However, today I came across numerous negative reviews about the Sonos app for Android, citing issues such as connectivity problems, volume control malfunctions, and more. For me, these issues would be unacceptable in a wireless speaker. I’ve read that some of these problems have been fixed, but when spending over 1000 euros on a pair of Fives, I expect a stable connection and a fully functional Android app. What’s the situation like in 2025 according to your experience?

Going to buy a soundbar.Sonos Playbar vs Sonos Beam Gen 2. Is there a big difference in the sound of these two? What would you choose? I can buy a used Playbar for around 300 euros or a new beam gen 2 for 370 euros. I'm going to buy 2 Sonos one/play one and a sub.

I’m considering replacing my connect amp so I can update my system from the s1 app. My question is what is the best option? - by best I mean bang for buck because I’m not planning on dropping g a load of cash on a load of new components. Current situation: my main listening is a connect amp running a pair of floor standing speakers - mission cirrus so decent enough but nothing special. I also have a pair of play 1s and a pair of one sl’s.Aim: I want to use the updated app so, short of splitting the system, the connect amp will need to be replaced. Connecting to the TV would be a bonus. I live in a compact open plan house so playing at high volume can disturb the rest of the family. Possible options I am considering: find a 2nd hand gen2 connect amp, connect a sub with a pair of either play1 or one sl, replace the amp with a soundbar with the option of using a pair of speakers for surround. Any recommendations please?

HiI have a newly renovated garage/party room of 88 square meters where I would like to set up Sonos speakers.In addition to the mentioned square meters, there is also a very high ceiling, and the room totals 400 cubic meters. Walls and ceilings are covered with wood-concrete (Troldtekt) which is somewhat sound-absorbing.Would 4 Sonos Five speakers and 1 Sub 4 be able to fill the room with good and loud music?Thank you in advance for your answer.Best regardsNiels

We recently bought a house that has an old speaker system built into it with approximately 10-12 speakers scattered throughout the home in the ceiling. All the wires come together at a central location with each individual speaker associated with an individual coaxial cable (1841A 2.25 ghz). The old owner took the old speaker system with them so I am unsure what the previous existing speaker system was. Is there a Sonos product that can adapt/connect to a old system like this or any product recommendations for something like this? Something that can connect 10+ ports or an adapter for those cables? I am super impressed with both of these.my question is - I wanted to activate credit towards my next purchase but can’t seem to do it with these 2 x items, is this because they simply haven’t been added yet or am I doing something wrong?  thanks in advance 

HiI currently have an office setup with a Beam and two Play:1 as surrounds which works fine. I want to add sound to a small gym I’ve setup in the garage (lowest cost ideally). Gym has 2 walls and a garage door and is 7x7 feet.I want to be able to setup so that I have two seperate groups in the Sonos App so I can play from either the office or the gym. What would you recommend?

What should I buy first? a Sub gen 4 or two Era 100? I have a medium room and I want a home theater, I can't buy two Era 300 for space reasons. After I would look for a way to add Era 300.

I’m looking for some suggestions to upgrade or expand on my current Sonos system. My products were purchased between 2018 and 2020. I have recently started getting into 4K UHD Blu Ray music and also Blu Ray audio with Dolby Atmos and Quadio mixes. My system consists of Arc, One (2 - L and R surrounds), and 2 subs. I recently purchased a Sonos Arc and plan to gradually enhance my home theater setup. Should I add surround speakers or a subwoofer next? If speakers, should I choose the One SL or Era 100? If a subwoofer, should I opt for the Sub (Gen 4) or Sub Mini?Regarding room size, I have a living room and dining room connected by a wide, open archway, each approximately 4m x 4m x 2m. Should I consider this a large room?

Hi all,I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the answer I need.I have various Sonos products, subs, play bars, surround speakers and a move in various rooms. I have just been given a Audio-Technica LP60XBTBK for Christmas and want to connect it to my system so I can play it throughout the house. I am confused on if I need a port or an amp or neither. Can anybody help please.

I’ve just moved and want to set-up a more legit home theater experience. The living room consists of the sectional and TV console on that bottom left portion of the L shape. I’d like a sound bar to sit on the tv console and face towards the sectional with a surround speaker in the corner of the room and other side of the sectional.Given the L shape of my living space, the media/sound is mostly enclosed in an 11x15 foot space. The other area will be a more formal dining room. It’s also worth noting I have fairly short ceilings, ~8’ and there’s a chandelier hanging dead center of the living room portion between the sectional and TV console which could potentially interfere with any up-firing drivers. My original plan was Arc Ultra and two Era 100s with no sub given the ultra’s rich bass. After reading some posts on reddit and the forum, I’m now leaning heavily towards:- Beam 2- 2 Era 100s- Sub mini?Looking to the community to help me decide!Is it worth it to get the Arc Ultra for future-

I have an open floor plan for living room/kitchen. 20ft x 40ft. I have corner TV mounted over fireplace with arc. Center couch in middle of room and a corner chair.  Looking to balance sound into kitchen. Was thinking of adding gen 4 sub, but confused on placement of era 100s or era 300s given constraints of room.  Was thinking 2 era 300s on one back corner of couch by wall cabinet and other behind side chair on stands and an era 100 or 300 in kitchen. Appreciate any thoughts and hope my pics upload for assistance in visual. Thank you. 

Hi Folks - I’m struggling to find a clear answer so asking here…Background: I have a Arc and 2 Sonos 100 speakers connected in my living room. All 3 are synced to play audio when watching TV and music from our phones via Spotify/Sonos app. I bought my wife a vinyl record player (Sony Electronics Inc, PS-LX310BT Belt Drive Turntable, Automatic Wireless Vinyl Record Player with Bluetooth and USB Output). The Ask: I would like to be able to play records and have the music come through all 3 speakers. What do I need to purchase and/or connect to make this happen? From what I’ve read I need a Sonos Port? Would my life be easier if I sold this Sony record player and purchased/used a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable instead?  Thank you for the help.
