Hello,
I am trying to figure out what would be the best speaker solution for my bathroom, which gets much ‘steamy’.
I am currently between Roam 2 and Era 100, but I would appreciate any ideas and suggestions.

I use a Sonos One, but I suppose it depends on whether you have an electrical socket (I think in the UK they are not permitted) or not. Take a look at the various moisture settings, but it’s not something I have ever worried about, the ‘dampness’ just doesn’t end up being that much, but I also haven’t placed the speaker in the shower itself. Between the two you listed, the Roam 2 has a built in battery, charged by USB C, the Era 100 has a standard plug.

Thank you Bruce,
I appreciate your help!

Steamy is a problem we don’t have here so I use a spare Beam, sounds great sitting on the top of a cabinet.

From the FAQ:

Humidity resistant

Designed to withstand high humidity, like in a bathroom with a running shower. (It is not waterproof or water-resistant.)

Thank you Stanley!
Truth be told, between Roam2 and era100, I prefer the era100.
I had read the ‘Designed to withstand high humidity’ in the guide, but I usually have extra loooong and steam baths and wanted to ensure I would enjoy them to the max with my speaker 🤣

I admit I haven’t thought that the Roam2 charges by USB C, which is a factor…
I appreciate the help!

Best regards,

V
