What to get

Hello,I’ve read about many compatibility issues between the Arc soundbar and Samsung tv’s. I have a Samsung Q80T and want to make sure Dolby Atmos will work if I buy this soundbar. Could someone confirm whether the latest firmware updates on both Sonos and Samsung’s sides have addressed the issues. Thanks !Erik

Installing a 16x12’ shingled roof pavilion about 6-8 feet away from pool. Trying to determine if a pair of Sonance outdoor or Move is the better option. I’m thinking about mounting them onto the 2 rear posts of the pavilion facing the pool, positioned up high on the 8’ posts They would end up about 18-20’ away from the pool. I already have 4 Polk Atrium 5s running thru a Connect that are approx 40 feet away on the opposite side of the pool and pointed toward the pool.If Sonance outdoor, I need an amp but those aren’t rated for outdoor use, right?  If Move, the charging base isn’t rated for outdoor use.Am I missing something or is there not a complete outdoor solution?

Does the LG CX Series support al the features of Sonos ARC? I have not purchased this TV, but want to. However, I want to be able to utilize the Sonos ARC features.

Hi all, I’m looking to buy a record player and already have two Sonos One speakers that I’m using as a pair. I’m trying to figure out if I can connect the One speakers to the Amp wirelessly and use them as output for my record player. I also would like to upgrade in the near future with a Sonos Beam for a home theatre.  Would this setup work? That is, (2) Sonos One speakers + Beam + Amp + Record player? If not, what would you recommend?

I currently have a Playbar and 2 Play Ones set up as a 3.0 tv system. While this is nice, i want more:) what do you think is more worthwhile, add a Sub (we live in an apt so a little worried about the bass) or upgrade to the Arc? If I go the upgrade to the Arc route do I need to move the Playbar to another room or can it still be integrated with the Arc and 2 play ones?

I am looking at upgrading one of my play 3’s to get 15% off a roam. I know I can continue to use the play 3 but will it still receive updates?

Hi,i’m still very confused about the whole “which can pair with what” here. So i want to buy a Sonos Beam for my living Room (TV). For the garden i want a Roam. I know that i cant pair the Beam and the Roam for Surroundsound when i watch Movies.But can i pair them to play Musik on both devices simultaneously? that i can place the roam in another room and it will play the same music as the beam in the livingroom?Thanks for your answers :-)

Hello all,I’m converting most of my home away from Chromecast / Chromecast audio (too unstable), and I’m  not certain which (if any) components to keep from my existing HT / Surround system. Most of the time we listen to music in multi-channel stereo.The room in question is about 900 square feet (20’ wide x 45’ deep) with 20’ cathedral ceilings.Currently I have a 7.0 system including:Denon AVR-X2300W L/R: B&W CM-1 (vintage floorstanding speakers) Center: Definitive Mythos 3 Surround L/R and back L/R: Definitive BP2XMy plan is to convert to:Sonos Arc (L/C/R) Sonos AMP to power the definitive surrounds Use the sub out to feed a new external sub (thinking Hsu ULS-15 MK2 or SVS Micro 3000).  Alternatively, if I were to get rid of the Definitive surrounds I’d add Ikea symfonisk table lamps for L/R surround. This would obviate the need for the Sonos AMP, in which case I’d get a Sonos Sub.Questions:Does this seem like it will be a reasonably effective setup for the intended use, or am I l

Pre-ordered on March 9th - the very second you could do so.  My Roam has been in “preparing to ship” status since last Friday (April 16th).  Unless it comes tomorrow -- which seems unlikely now, barring a shipped email in the next couple of hours, I’ll be a little disappointed in Sonos.  (note that I'm super happy with my Sonos system -- 4 Sonos Ones and a Port thus far).But based on this experience, what was the point of pre-ordering?  I can literally do curbside pickup tomorrow at a nearby Best Buy and get a Roam tomorrow at 10 AM.   I thought pre-ordering meant you got it ON or BEFORE the release date (not after)?  Technically the release date is in about 4 hours here.Current status, just checked -- again: Placed on March 09, 2021Order SummaryPurchase Subtotal$169.00Discount total$0.00Est. I have a pair of ones (a one and a one sl) in my living room that I have paired in stereo which is great for music.Thinking of getting a beam so I can have surround sound for my TV too but wanted to know if I set my ones up as surrounds for film/TV, can I still use them as a stereo pair for music?Don't want to commit to buying and then find out they can only do one or the other!! 

How does the Roam compare with the Tap?

Just curious, anyone else order a arc set around the first week of April and have had their order shipped? I got a estimated ship date of April 23rd back when I ordered it, but all it says is order is placed and it’s backordered. Is there still hope for it to ship on or before the 23rd? Thanks!

Hi allI am trying to determine whether the Sonos Arc will work with my setup…  PS5 and a gaming monitor that does not have HDMI Arc or eArc Trying to understand the connection options for the Sonos ArcDoes the PS5 plug into the Sonos Arc and then the Sonos Arc plugs into Monitoir (HDMI) - passign through the video signal or is the inteded setup that the PS5 plugs directly to monitior and in order for the sound to get back to the Sonos Arc it requires a eArc/Arc HDMI connection to the Sonos Arc?Not 100% sure on how eArc/Arc works as never had to use it before… I understand the relvance for TVs but with a monitor that receives its video/audio one way from source (PS5) also any limitations in passign through the arc to monitor in this way  (if the first way oif connectivity is possible )   ? I did have an older bose soundsystem but the passthrough capped me at 1080p and obvioualy nowadays I want greater .Cant find the manual for the Sonos Arc online - assume all done through app Any advic

Hiim looking for recommendations for best most suitable Sonos set up for our morning room which runs into the galley kitchenthe Morning Room is 12ft x 12ft and the kitchen is 17ft x 9ft. At the moment I just listen to music and radio on a 2nd gen play 5. We are putting a tv in the morning room and I’d like stereo sound, I’d also like the option of having a speaker at the far kitchen end for when I just want music or radio in the kitchen. It’s rare that the music is played at any great volume, just want the quality therefore thinking of Sonos Beam with Alexa under the tv, poss 2 x SL Ones in the morning room and then 1 x SL One at the far end of the kitchen, and then sell the play 5. I gave an arc in my living room but don’t want to spend that much on the set up for these two rooms. any thoughts/ suggestions for the best system for this room combination  thanksdave

So I have previously had a Sonos Connect for a long time as my way of playing through my Denon Av receiver. I used to have Russound but have since replaced that with 3 Sonos Amps powering in wall speakers with numerous Sonos 1s around the house. As the Connect is aged and doesn’t mesh with the new updates I would like to replace it. That said it would be nice if I could find a way to have my Sonos turn on my Av receiver like my Apple TV when I use the remote and then play music into the Denon say from a Sonos Port or Arc or whatever. I’m just tired of having to turn on my Denon and then change the input to have my Sonos music play in my living room.  I only use my Sharp Aquos Quattron LC-60LE832U as a monitor with the Arc HDMI feeding my Denon. So my Apple Tv, bluray player, and xbox are connected to my Denon. What are my options?

Thinking of purchasing an Arc. My entertainment center soundbar shelf is 4” high and 58” across. Considering the Arc dimensions, side, and upward firing speakers will the sound be adversely affected?

It would be very interesting to have the possibility of correcting the volume on each song, volume adjustment which would of course be saved.I don't think it exists on Sonos and it would be a very useful improvement.Christian

Hi everyone - I’ve just bought a whole load of new Sonos kit for my apartment @ circa $1500 expense. My question : how long are ppl generally budgeting for that their products will last? I have a beam, 3 Ones and a move.  I like to invest in things like this, and while I don’t expect they’ll last forever, I like to get value for money. I’m also not someone that always needs the newest gizmo, so as long as the speakers still work whilst more improved models come on line, I won’t feel the need to upgrade.  Im budgeting for getting around 10 years out of all this stuff. Sonos say they support for 5 years after last sale (hopefully longer). Some of these products have been on sale for a few years but I’m hoping they’ll still sell for a couple of years yet. The bad press Sonos got recently around the issue also makes me think they’ll be a bit better around this next time. Hello Sonos-ians, I have a sonos arc and in built existing ceiling speakers (not sonos). I would like to connect them to my sonos arc for a full surround sound experience. HelloWe’re in the process of building a garden office. It will be triangular in shape, with one side being a sliding glass door.We make extensive use of Sonos throughout the rest of the house so have been thinking through the best options given the odd-shape of the space.Mostly will be listening to Spotify as background music whilst working at the desk.Some thoughts:1x Play Five, set horizontal (red dot on diagram) at desk height. 2x Play Ones, set at either end of the corner desk (blue dots) 2x In-ceiling Speakers, set either as the green or purple dotsI’d be very grateful for any advice or other recommendations/considerations.Thanks in advance - diagram below. 

Bit of a strange question, I pre-ordered Roam, card charged ahead of shipping and DHL tracking information sent to me last night.All good, apart from Sonos refunding my debit card this morning, despite tracking showing my order has been picked up and on its way.Now I don’t want to seem ungrateful for the refund, but has anyone else had a similar experience?
