What to get

Trying to solve for the below goals using the SONOS ecosystem and I’ve been back and forth on how to accomplish. Improve my GreatRoom TVs built-in speakers (Beam/ARC)  Create AirPlay option and power speakers for turntable that sits directly behind TV area  Output vinyl/TV audio signal across all speakers on network (e.g. listen to vinyl on soundbar) Last, I have an additional TV on an HDMI splitter that I’d like to share audio/speakers with main TV Will an ARC/Beam + SONOS AMP (+/- 3rd party bookshelves and sub) accomplish what I’m after? I would like the option of using the sub on either TV/Vinyl signal, and by a similar token, have the option to listen to vinyl across all speakers on the AirPlay/SONOS network. 

Hi! I know that this has been asked a lot of times but i have not found an answer for 2022 🙂We have a Yamaha MusicCast wireless vinylplayer and im wondering if they (Yamaha) have fixed so you can use Sonos products (in my cast Ark) to stream your music yet? I know that i has been impossible the last 3 years, but still holding out.

We are Remodeling our house, and creating a relatively small (10 ft x 12 ft) room for watching TV/movies. We intend to reuse Arc and play:1 or One speakers for rear surround.  Thinking about adding sub amp and two sonance architectural ceiling speakers for enhanced (5.1.2 ??) surround.  Any guidance?  Does this sort of setup make sense? Thanks!Matt

New to Sonos. 3 Rooms / 2 have TV’s / 2 Ceiling Speakers in each room (6 total) - all speaker wire leads to utility closet I purchased 3 amps (looks like I’ll be waiting awhile) for 3 zones to control music in each room. My question - I purchased 2 Ray sound bars to connect my TV audio to respective amps via wifi to play TV audio on respective ceiling speakers. Because all speaker wire leads to a utility closet I am unable to directly connect my TV/Ray sound bar to the amp. This should do the trick if I want to use ceiling speakers for TV audio correct?  Many thanks in advance.

Hi,I bought 4 of One SL. My plan was to use them as a cafe music speakers. But as I am a franchisee, I need to use a designated music streamer with line out port. So I need to find a receiver getting line in input while sending wifi transmitting to my Sonos SL speakers. I know there's Sonos Port but it is way expensive for me. Can somebody recommend me an alternative for Sonos Port? Thanks. 

Hi, I need help to set up the Sonos speakers in my coffee shop. It looks like box, 560 sq, but 24ft high. What do you recommend I was thinking maybe 4 ONE and one woofer ?

I’m connecting some turntables to my system and I’m wondering whether I use a second hand Connect or whether I actually get a Playbase and use the input on that. With the Playbase at least I get another speaker close to my turntables but I’m unsure about what the quality of input is like compared to the Connect.

Hi guys, I’m new to the sonos ecosystem. I bought 2 Symfonisk speakers (gen 1) and the only way I use them is through my apple TV and Airplay.I wanted to add more speakers, but I am lost here, I dont really know if I can add 2 more Symfonisk and have them as sorround.I wanted to buy a Beam (gen 1) and have it as the main channel and the 2 Symfonisk as rear speakers, but I cannot really understand if the beam gen 1 is capable of being paired with the 2 Symfonisk using airplay.I also entertained the idea of having a Play 5 (gen 1) paired but I don’t think it has airplay capabilities.Can you guys halp me out please?

Hello. I’m a longtime Sonos customer at home, and I’m now building a small cabin that I want to prepare for a good Sonos setup. It would be on the first floor, which is essentially one (not huge) great room as shown in the attached drawing. It will be music only (no TV), and the goal is somewhat more than “background music” but somewhat less than “critical listening.” Most of the listening will probably happen in the kitchen area while cooking, but I’ll want sound throughout. Would the best bet be Sonos Ones mounted high in the corners of the front and the back of the house? Or something else? And when you’ve got, say, four or six speakers in a “great room” setup like this, is it better to do two stereo pairs or just group them? Thanks very much for any insights you can offer!

Hello Community, I need help! I currently have a Sonos playbase which we absolutely love. Our house has 2 X YAMAHA 6" IN-CEILING SPEAKERS PAIR - NS-IC600 in the living room and outdoor alfresco.  I want to buy an amp to start using the speakers but have no idea where to start. Do I need to buy a Sonos amp to connect the playbase and will the Yamaha speakers be compatible with it. I'm also not sure how I split the audio between the areas... Would you need a seperate amp for each space is there some form of splitter? Any help would be much appreciated! 

Hello Everyone,Currently I have :1 Playbase.1 Sonos Play:1 Gen 1.1 Sonos play:5 Gen 2.1 Sonos Playbar. I connect Playbase to my Sony TV and I got Dolby Digital 5.1 label on my Sonos app when I watch Movie on TV.Currently,I group all the speaker together when I  watch movie. However as I understand, that way just make all the speakers play the same audio source, not separating channel for each different speaker ( But I still can feel a bit surrounding sound maybe 3.1 system because Playbase itself is the stereo speaker).My question is if I buy one more Play:1 or Play:5 to create the surrounding system, Will the surrounding sound experience be different so much or it will just slightly the same?And what does it means by Line-in will be disabled when connected the surrounding speakers? Now I connect TV with Playbase by optical cable. 

I am trying to upgrade my system (surround with Beam gen 2, 2 One’s) for ~$800, and am weighing 2 options below:-Upgrade Beam gen 2 > Arc-Add Sub gen 3 to the existing systemI primarily use my system for watching movies & TV shows and listening to music. Any inputs would be appreciated, and any upgrade ideas not listed here would also be appreciated to help me think outside the box!

Hey there,I am looking at setting up a 2 room Sonos system.I have a turntable in one room (not being used) and an old Nad amp and speakers in another.I would like to be able to send audio from the turntable to either room independently. And also use each room with digital independently. But on my budget this seems hard. Room 1 Turntable- Preamp-FiveRoom 2 Port-Nad-Speakersthis is close but will not be able to send turntable only to room 2 as five will play?Am I missing something or will I have to save more money😭  

Hello,I am would like to install 2 front in wall speakers and 2 rear ceiling speakers using an amp for each with a Samsung frame TV.  I don’t want to use a sound bar because I would like to keep the clean look of the Frame TV. I know very little about setting up a sound system and would just like good basic surround sound. Would this be an effective basic set-up and would it work with a new Samsung Frame TV? Thanks

HI, I am looking to move soon and was going to upgrade my main sonos system in a new audio room to Arc, Sub with 2no rear sonos speakers (ones?) i also love vinyl and would love to know how i can play analogue through this proposed system, currently the turntable plays through a pre amp, then into Yamaha receiver and the Bose wired acoustimass system, sounds great but wanted to go wireless…… any help would be gratefully received, cheers and thanks

Trying to get my ducks in order.Will a SONOS One Gen 2 work on S1 or only a One Gen 1.Same again with the Move, will all Moves work on S1.Cheers, Keith.

I know the ability to move speakers into and out of groups more easily has been requested a lot. But I wanted to add my scenario because I think it shows how much this is needed.I had the Arc, Sub, 2xOnes HT setup. We use it for a lot of music as well as TV/movies, so I upgraded the rears to Fives. I’ve been struggling to get them tuned since the update. It turns out they sound better with the Fives as a stereo pair on their own. This also let’s me put the Fives in the perfect position for music alone.But this leaves me with the dilema of whether to group the sub with Fives or the Arc. Either way, half the time, I will have my beautiful $1100AUD sub sitting there doing nothing. That really sux.Surely it wouldn’t be too hard to let us save a small number of “profiles”? Then I could have a “music” and a “movies” profile that let’s me get full use of the sub.Please?

I have an older Sonos setup, consisting of three play:3 speakers, a connect: amp and a bridge. I want to upgrade my system so that I can use the Sonos app v. 2 as well as use airplay. I would like advice on whether to buy an Amp that I can use together with my play:3’s or, if it would be a better and longer lasting investment to buy three new Five speakers even though the latter will be quite expensive compared to just buying the Amp.Pros and cons?

Hello, I have a CD transport that I want to connect to a Sonos Five.From what I understand I will need a DAC between the CD transport and the Five, right?Or could I just connect the CD transport to a Sonos Port, and stream it to the Five?I’m also afraid to loose some sound quality but using the line-in on the Five.Thanks

Hi,I own an IKEA SYMFONISK and I plan to aquire a SONOS Ray for my TV !I also plan to buy the Pro-Ject T1 PHONO SB but I’m not sure the device I described up here are compatible with it..Do you guys know if it can work together ?Thx for your help !

Any recommended monitors for Sonos Ray? As I know it has to have an optical port to play sound.
