What to get

I’ve just moved into a new house and the previous owners had Sonos speakers installed throughout the house in the walls and ceilings. I think they are now legacy parts though and no longer work. I’d like to be able to upgrade them to currently supported parts.  They had a ZP90 and a tower of Zoneplayer 120s installed in the cupboard under the stairs and I believe they are wired to the speakers installed in the ceilings of the various rooms around the house.  What is the best way to upgrade them?

Hi,Finally joined Sonos and got myself a Beam Gen2, One and SL. Setup for home theatre is all done, and I’m very happy on how things connect, app setup and integration with Apple HomeKit. As happy I can be… I’m missing bass, all I have is a great experience but I love my movies and missing that punch.  Dilema here is, Sub mini or Sub Gen 3Small apartment with living room and open concept kitchen.  I will never be able to use sound over mid volume as it’s an apartment, on that note… Sub mini or Gen 3?Thanks in advance :)

I’m looking for wired or wireless product options that would work outside. Not sure if there’s weatherproof options.

My computer is my main entertainment hub, my large monitor is basically also my TV.  I want to get a pair of nice bookshelf speakers and I’m looking at the KEF LS50 Meta’s. I’ve narrowed my amp choices to the Sonos AMP ($700, 125w), the NAD C700 ($1,600, 80w), or the Denon PMA-150H ($1,000, 70w). I’d prefer the AMP because not only is it the cheapest, it’s also the most powerful.  I’ve done a fair bit of searching prior to posting.  I know using an AMP with a computer “is not the intended purpose” but beyond that I’m curious about the delay. I understand that when GROUPED, the minimum delay is 75ms, which can cause lip sync issues.  However, in my use case, I would just be using wired bookshelf speakers, UNGROUPED, with the optical out of the computer to the optical to HDMI converter into the AMP.  From this thread, buzz said:When SONOS players are “Grouped” there is a 75ms latency.  TV is a 65” LG OLED C8 PLA (2019) with HDMI ARC port available. TV connected to Sky Q box.Will Sonos Arc plug and play via the TV HDMI ARC connection.TV mounted to a Sanus VLT6-B2 tilting bracket. I bought 4 units of white Sonos One SL and had them shipped to Singapore by a forwarder. I received them after 10 days only to be surprised by the colour. I got them in black instead. I am puzzled how a big company like Sonos can make a mistake like this.  Now I’m not sure what my options are. They have an exclusive distributor in Singapore but I do not know if they would do an exchange for Sonos. Any Sonos staff able to advise me? 

I want to setup an Atmos home theater (replacing existing setup). But I also have a stereo set of speakers in the kitchen ceiling. I’d like to be able to use these as either/or or simultaneous - for TV and music streaming. To complicate it a bit, I also have an analog turntable that I would like to have multiroom functionality as well.If I use an ARC+SL1s+Sub for HT and add a single AMP to both drive the kitchen speakers AND power the turntable, will that work? Thanks!

I purchased 3 days ago and the status still preparing to ship and I cannot cancel it. A company this size without a 24/7 support is ridiculous. They only are available Monday to Friday. I would never had bought any Sonos products if I only knew. I am extremely disappointed.  

I recently purchased an LG G2 OLED TV (yet to be delivered\installed). My current set up in the Media Room is Arc, Sub, 2 Ones.  Since the LG G2 will be flush against the wall, from an aesthetic perspective I will be moving the Arc to another room as it will make my skin crawl seeing the Arc sticking out from below the LG G2.  I purchased two Sonos In-Wall Speakers and the Amp (yet to be delivered) to replace the Arc. 3 Questions belowIs anyone using the above configuration - two In-Wall, AMP, Sub and two Ones versus the Arc, Sub and 2 Ones and if so any significant difference?I plan to place the Amp in a closet near the TV which already has plugs, in wall HDMI cable, etc.  However, it was recommended to place the AMP in a Legrand ONQ Cable Management Box which will be installed behind the TV to host cables, outlets and apple TV.  I figured it will be easier for me to trouble shoot any issues if the AMP is in the closet and thus I don’t mind paying additional installation costs.  Shoul

ok, so i’m starting from zero. Going to buy a cd player and receiver, and i want to be able to stream music.My question is this: Do i need to buy a certain type of cd player and receiver so that i can then hook up a Sonos speaker? And do i need to buy bookshelf speakers as well, or will the Sonos speakers be enough?I’m looking at a Sonos port and a couple of the SL speakers.

Hallo i’ve a couple on Sonos One (one and one sl). If i’am not wrong buying a Ray let me allow to stream sounds from pc (youtube, games etc).This Ray will also enhance my music listening experience or won’t add any enhancement?is there any other product that will really improve the listening experience in my room and let me also connect the PC?Or the best would be buying sub mini for the two ones and a dedicated one amp for pc?

Moving into a new house and looking for a setup for music listening (no movies) in a large open-concept space (entry, dining room, living room, kitchen). The speakers would be placed on top of the mantel. Listening levels would range from background music to fully cranked. My wife would listen to mostly classical (piano) and I would listen to a wide range of genres.Considering whether stereo paired Fives or Ones would be better, and whether a Sub or Sub-mini would be better. Significant price differentials here, I know. I wish the Fives had voice control.For reference, the home theater (very large) space will probably have dual 15” subs.Thanks for the advice!

Hi there,My friends offered me a Pro-Ject T1 record player a few months back.It is a Project T1 regular (not the SB one) with cables attached directly to the device.I never owned a record player before and I am quite excited but I am not sure which sonos I should get to connect to my already owned Sonos One x2 and Beam.I see a lot of stuff related to the SB itself. I am looking into buying a few sonos speakers (because they do not need to be hardwired to my record player).  I have an amp and a record player (it is not bluetooth) that I would like to continue to use but Im having a hard time figuring out what adapter I need. Is this a possible set-up?

I’m new to all of this, so please excuse any novice questions!  My wife and I are finishing the renovations on a new house and we’ve been in a little bit of a battle with how our entertainment area will be setup.  We have an open plan den/kitchen area and I was planning on using an Arc, Sub, and two One SLs to provide a decent audio setup.  Unfortunately, the TV is located close to a design element that my wife doesn’t want to crowd with electronics and view the Arc as a hindrance to her vision (interior designer).  I’m now exploring in-ceiling options so that I can keep that “clean look” she wants and limit immediately visible electronics.  I was wondering if I would be able to utilize 4 in-ceiling speakers and a single Amp and a sub.  All speakers would be used primarily in a theatre manner for movies/tv (sometimes music, but not as often) and would play from the same source at all times. Is this a feasible setup or do I need to make some changes?

I’d like to start building a Sonos system and in time have a comprehensive multi room entertainment system. That said I’m starting with a budget and I’d like my first speakers to be useful in my 2 bedroom apartment. What would you recommend as a starter pack?

Hi,My kitchen is a T shape with the bottom/middle section configured as a “morning room” with a TV. The remaining area is supposed to have a pair of Monitor Audio CP-CT380-IDC ceiling speakers but they haven’t been fitted yet. I bought an Arc, Sub G3, Amp and a pair of One SLs for my lounge which hasn’t been finished yet and I’m sat here listening to them in my morning room. The trouble is that they’re so good, I’m thinking that there’s no point in fitting the ceiling speakers now!I’ve had the ceiling speakers (fully enclosed) running from the Amp and they’re good but still inferior to the Arc/Sub (perhaps the Sub makes a significant difference). I might hook up the sub to the same zone as the ceiling speakers for a fair comparison.I need a soundbar in my morning room anyway so does it sound crazy to use the ceiling speakers elsewhere and just go for another Arc/Sub for both TV and music?Thanks :)

Hi, Time to choose the sound solution to our new home. I would love a ceiling speaker solution.  Would be great to to get quality sound and save space. Has enough deepnes for the speakers.We would have some sound in the living room to the kitchen. ( blue area in on the floorplan)  Dont need to be loud only enjoyable when we cook or just hanging on the sofa after a work day. We dont need the system when we watching tv. ( or should i ? )Would be great some music on the terras too, what we can turn off when we are not there. Dont need to be loud , neibours wall is 10m from our terras. ( Terras is not priority )The costruction company has no knowladge about the speakers.Which sepakers you reccomend me from your shop? and player and... ? Hi there. We recently built an open-air outdoor structure next to our pool, we’re planning to mount a TV and are looking for recommendations for sound. We currently run our house on all sonos products (arc, playbars, play1 &3, subs,etc) and outdoors we have Bose landscape speakers connected via sonos connect. I was planning to purchase the outdoor architectural speakers and amp to connect to the tv for sound but was sure if that was the best option. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

If my 2013 playbar is not compatible with the V3 sub which version is compatible with the S1 app/playbar? Is my only option to buy used sub?
