I want to connect a Platine vinyle Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB with sonos beam 2

 

In this configuration, it is preferable to use a sonos amp or a sonos port.

I don't see the difference between the two

The Sonos Amp includes the power to drive non-Sonos speakers. I suspect the more preferable device of the two for use to connect a turntable to is the Sonos Port.
