What to get

I am planning to install Sonos system in our basement. I have a media room which is 325 sqft (18’x18’) and open basement which is roughly 1300 sqft. my questions- should I put an Arc, 2-Era 300 and 1 sub (gen3) in media room. Is that a lot or less? Media room will have 85” tv and we usually don’t watch movies too loud.and for the main open area is Arc, 2-Era 300 and 1 sub (gen3) enough or do I need more.And say I want to play just plain music in both media room and open basement. Can I connect both to play same music?is there better option for me than stated above. All suggestions welcome.Sorry for so many questions. A newbie here!  

Hi,I ordered an immersive set (arc / sub / oneSLs) on 06/04 with an estimated shipping date of 06/13. As of today (06/24) the order still shows preparing to ship but there has been no shipment. On repeated conversations with customer support I am being given the same parroted responses about system updates and with no clarity on when or how long will it take for them to ship. Has anyone received their orders recently (socially those who placed the orders in June itself).  It is extremely disappointing and frustrating. My two cents: Sonos should stop taking back orders since clearly it’s unable to fulfill them in time, at the least till it gets back enough inventory. I ordered PS5 day before and it arrived today despite known supply shortages around the world. 

We are doing a full remodel and going to be adding Sonos.  We plan on having in wall speakers in living room, kitchen, den, and outside.  Wall speakers (or ceiling) require the “sonos amp” correct?  Other speakers, like sound bars, subs, etc., only require the “sonos port” correct?  Using sonos amp and port, we don’t need to also have a separate receiver do we? (yahama as example)?  Thank you.

Can I use something like This to connect a turntable to my Beam (Gen 1), and then be able to use it in my Sonos System? If not, why not?

I have a beam set up in a living area.  While it is fine for TV watching I want to improve my hi fi audio experience.  Would it be better to add a single Five or two Era 100s....I'm thinking that the two Era 100s might give better stereo definition...I don't have the space (or Money for 2 FIVES

I have a small room with a wall mounted, head level Beam 2 and 2 x Play:1s on floor stands at head level on each side of the sofa, slightly behind my sitting position. The Play:1s add a lot of bass in sa mall room, I tried a Sub Mini but the room size doesn’t need it.I've ordered a pair of Era 100s using the 30% upgrade code and thinking of keeping the Play 1s purely as surround speakers and using the Eras as a stereo pair, facing the sofa, just for music playback.I've been listening to music using the Play 1s and Beam but thinking it's probably not the best way to hear music, with the ones behind me.Am I right in thinking that a dedicated speaker group pair of Era 100s facing me is the best approach?

Ok so I have the Arc, the Sub, the Amp and two in ceiling speakers and I use Apple TV for my streaming video and music.  I have just added 2 speakers (pre wired) in the ceiling of my patio. What is the best way to stream music to my patio speakers? I’d like to have a separate music tuner from my tv so I can still watch TV while playing music on the patio. I’d like to keep everything Sonos if that’s an option. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA, Todd-Orlando,Fl

I am wondering which products I should upgrade and in what order since I cannot upgrade everything at once. I’d rather do it gradually. My current system has 3 Play:1 devices, 1 Connect, 1 Play:3, and 1 Playbar.  I use a sonos connect with a turntable.  It’s not completely reliable anymore especially if it is used with a device that is farther away in the house. One of the Play:1 devices is connected to my router. I’d rather not have to do that if it was possible.  

I am interesting in upgrading my Sonos One speakers. Trying to determine if I should purchase 2x ERA 100's and a sub mini or 2 ERA 300's for an open concept room aprox 620 sq ft. Dolby Atmos is not a priority at the moment

Hi we are making our kitchen bigger and want to install Sonos cealing speakers and need to know cealing placement and how many to install it’s outlined in red it would be just for music.  And then the room outlined in blue is a bar room wanted seperate amp and speakers for that one also and would would like same advice.  Thank you for any help it’s appreciated.   

I am very new to REAL audio, and with all honesty, if I had not been able to shop at the base exchange, I may never have even found them.  After I went home, thought about it, and did a little research, I decided to purchase the Move 2.  I was shocked by the clarity and little bit of boom this speaker could give. I looked at my TCL (nothing wrong with them, but it was a Black Friday deal), sound bar, and sub I used to listen to music and decided I am tired of distorted jams…. I needed more…  (put on sunglasses)Papa Roach, Pink Floyd, Garth Brooks, 2 Pac, Bone Thugs and Harmony Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Kenny G on and on…  I listen to it all, and I like to listen to it loud, and now that I work from home, I do not have to wear the awesome but annoying at times headphones I always did… But I did what I always do: get excited and started looking and ordered two items from Sonos and thought I may have made a mistake…  Or my own justification to buy even more and have an awesome surround

Hi everyone,  I am finishing up the last details to open a gym. I have seen similar topic but would still like your feedback. The gym comprises:- A small reception / coffee bar which is 14 m2- A weight lifting area which is 150 m2- A spinning area which is 35 m2- A multi funcional room which is 65 m2- A corridor leading to the changing room which is 25m2Both spinning an multi functional would have their own system as we need to equip the instructors with mics.However the weight lifting, reception and corridor should have the same content with different sound level. I hoped that the Sonos ERA 100 or 300 would create their own network to connect together and that would have been my first choice but it seems like they are not compatible with the Wired Sonos setup. What would you recommend in that case? Note, the gym is located in A small town in south America with unreliable internet… Best regards, Pierre 

HiSonos newbie here. I currently have a traditional 5.1 set up. Denon receiver, needs to be replaced running Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers, including towers in the front. Wife never liked the look of the towers.Moving into a new home, and to simplify some things, wiring the rears will be a pain because of the layout, I am looking at a Sonos bar to start, and add a sub and rears at a later time.The living room is about 19.5 feet by about 14.5 feet. The television will sit along one of the 14.5 foot walls, and seating will be at the other end of the room. The television is a Sony X80L 65”.My question is this, will the Beam Gen 2 work in this space. I am not worried about Atmos right now, and would like to add a sub and maybe some old Ones or 100’s in time. Or would a previous version bar work, I see some great deals on Facebook Marketplace.Mostly used for streaming content, shows, occasional movies. Thanks in advance.

Specifically I’m interested about these tradeoffs:Centre channel: virtual vs real  Soundstage: narrow with smaller drivers vs wide with larger ones Obviously I’d rather have spatial audio capabilities but I wouldn’t compromise sound quality from the front channels for it.Can’t test both set-ups before committing so I’d like to hear if someone has experience with both set-ups or similar ones.Thanks!

I’d like to get a speaker that I can use to play music and that also connects to our projector for movie night. It’s worth noting that the projector is the primary TV in the home. It’d be tricky to put a soundbar in the front of the room, as it wouldn’t be anywhere near the projector. However, we could trivially use a line-in to connect the projector to an Era 300 (or other speaker) on a nearby table. My thought is that the speaker will lend itself well enough for both TV/movies and music - we’d simply connect the line to watch a movie.Is this notion ill-conceived? I would also consider a Play5, though I suspect that the 300 is better suited for this dual purpose. I’m also unsure about how well this would work if we expanded down the line - for example if we paired two Era 300s and/or maybe a sub later, all using the line-in from one 300 as input. Seems like something that might introduce lag? At a minimum it’s not eArc, and I imagine that will introduce some loss.Worth noting that we

Hey folks, I’m currently planning out the setup for our new yoga/fitness studio and hope to get some feed back from you. Status QuoThe room is quite big, 10m x 10m, with 3,70m ceilings. Only one pillar in the middle. RequirementMost of the classes will be quite with ambient music only, but some of them will be HIIT-bodyweight workouts. Therefore it should be a louder to motivate them, so a little bit of power is needed.  ThoughtsI was thinking of putting Fives in every corner at almost max height, vertical, facing down. Even duh I’m using UniFi AP Pro in the main room, I’m thinking of going ethernet to each Five. The Sub can be placed in the center back or on the sides in the back. On the picture you can see the yogamats facing  QuestionsIs this even enough? Do I need more? Another Sub? Shall I put some Era100 in the middle of the room on the pillar facing outwards?  Do we need more Subs? Am I using the wrong products completly?  Floorplan Thank you very much in advance! 

I have two ERA 300’s set up in my large basement. I was thinking of getting a sub mini wireless subwoofer as they are on sale but want to make sure it will improve the sound. 

Hello,I currently have 2 era 100 in my living room (30m²). I want to expand this setting. I wonder whether it would be better to opt for 2 extra era 100 or adjust 1 sub mini. I only use them for music. Tim

I have an old URC System and a house with wired speakers in different rooms. I want to bypass the URC System and just use Sonos and attach the wired speakers in different rooms multiple zones and be able to control and listen to different music at the same time in those rooms. Hello, I purchased an Arc and Sub (Gen 3) 9 months ago and I like the products. I have thought about purchasing two Era 300 speakers to complement my system which I have in my living room. I currently live in an apartment, with a sectional sofa taking up the entire living room. I would be able to situate the right Era 300 behind the sofa (on a counter) however the left Era 300 would have to be located to the side of the sofa (there is a wall directly behind this side of the sofa). Would this be a bad investment?  Im not sure how much the location in the room has to do with the Era 300’s sound quality but I would not be able to have them centered behind me, as one would be behind the right side of the sectional and one would be to the side of the left side of the sectional. I am willing to make the purchase but I dont want to make the investment if it will sound weird or the sound will seem “uneven?” Could anyone provide any advice or insight? I will not be in this apartment long term (

I have a Sonos Arc with a Sony Bravia TV.  I’m Thinking of adding stereo components, either a paired era 300s or paired Era 100s and 1 Five to connect a CD Player.  does that sound logical?  I’m somewhat technically challenged when it comes to electronics.  Please advise

I have recently moved into a house that was wired for multi-room audio several years ago (15+ years). I am looking to upgrade the system and would appreciate some advice/input.There are 12 zones all controlled by the devices in the above picture. One Onkyo stereo receiver and 4 Niles boxes. 6 of the zones have a control pad (connected to one box) and the other 6 zones (connected to the other box) just have a volume dial. Each zone has 2 speakersSeems a shame to remove the speakers and all the wiring that has been done.My goals are toHave a simplified system with less zones (don’t need speakers in most of the zones and will probably only go for 2 zones; inside and outside). I would leave more of the zones but the cost may be prohibitive?  Ability to turn on or off, select source and control volume without having to go into the closet  Ability to stream from normal sources (Apple, Spotify) without needing a phone to be nearby (don’t have any other sources) but also want to stream from a
