I've seen many other threads for this, this is a feature request that in the new app a feature is added to disable the Sonos Arc during music playback. I have an Arc, Sub Gen 3 and a pair of Fives set up for surround. The sound quality is worse than just using the pair of Fives in stereo with the sub. Turning music on the surrounds to +15 kills the bass from the sub. The music playback experience is just much worse since adding the Arc and this needs to be fixed

Sonos won’t let me set up a music alarm. It always defaults back to the Chime playing no matter what — even when it says I’ve selected music. See this diagnostics. Moderator edit: diagnostic number recorded and removed

I have put up with the missing sleep timer, the self created radio stations that have disappeared and other  bugs…..but now I can play on one speaker or another or another but not all grouped together.GET your act together and fix the software….this is CRAP!!!

I sore this is going to come down to opinion but looking for some opinions before spending several thousand! I have a 6 zone Linc system ( only 5 zones connected ).   It’s in a rental home I own so it’s not possible for me to trouble shoot ( I’m on the other side of the world ).  I’ve had problems with the htd in the past with noise coming though the speakers and HTD were good enough to replace the remote thing!   But it’s acting up again.  To be honest, I don’t need 5 discrete zones. I could get by with pairing the master bath and master bedroom. As well as pairing my kitchen and Gabe’s room.  Add on the patio and I really only need three.  I also think the 6 source inputs is overkill   To be honest we never really ever listened to different music in different areas. But being able to select from a couple of inputs would be beneficial  I was thinking to buy 3 Sonos amps and be done with it. Then I stumbled on to Sonos port and though I could have done money and drive my multi channel

I am using Sonos Arc and know that Sonos Ace can be connected via a smartphone. However, if I connect another smartphone, can it pair with a separate Sonos Ace so that two people can listen simultaneously using headphones?

This may be buried in another topic, but a specific feature we’ve used for years is still missing from the latest July 22 app update (80.05.04): the ability to play or shuffle music from the a folder view of our local music library.I used a shelved Play:1 and a backup iPad to create a second Sonos system in order to test today’s app update (with the latest firmware). I was not especially surprised to find that feature is still missing since it’s also missing from the web player. Those controls are available in the “Songs” view of the library, which suggests the developers may have decided to only provide the function in a view that has individual songs. Having them in the folder views was admittedly an inconsistency given that none of the other non-Songs views had them, but it was a very useful inconsistency for us.

How do you update your firmware 

Hi - I am trying to setup a new PORT to my Denon stereo system that consists of a receiver, CD player, and Tape player - I want to connect so anything I play on the CD/Tape players will play on my Sonos speakers throughout my house. I looked thru the questions here, but honestly I can't figure it out - any help would be appreciate. Thanks!

If I have one single line in source (let’s call it a record player), and 5 Connect:Amps.I’d like the single line in signal to be used by all the Connect:Amps so can be heard in all rooms simultaneously. For what it’s worth, all the Connect:Amps are in the same location.I feel this is probably going to be either straightforward or not possible? Thank you!

It’s getting “better” and “better” with every update, now iTunes compilations are multiplying and no content can be played when selecting them. And some artwork is still missing, although it loads a little bit faster at least. This app and company is a joke, seriously. I just went back after a few month to see whether it works now, and it doesn’t. Worse, now the apps from the iPhone are no longer reliable to even play ANY music... 

I have M4B files that are audiobooks with chapter info and cover art as metadata.The cover art shows up if I use the PC or web app, but not in the andrioid app - not a big issue, but annoying.The big issue is that there is no way to move through the chapters. The “Next” button plays the next track.Is there a change I need to make, or is this something that will be addressed?Thanks,Mark

I've had The Frame (2019) TV [QE55LS03RAUXXC] for a couple of years now, and I'm planning to buy the Sonos Arc. Will these two work together? I've read a lot about connectivity issues (such as sound cuts) related to the HDMI eARC function on newer versions of The Frame. However, since my version only supports HDMI ARC (not eARC), will I still experience those sound issues? 

Hi.   I have some old legacy Sonos S1 items - including a Play:3 (from 2012).   I am gradually replacing components in order to have a full Sonos ‘S2’ set up.    Does anyone have advice what current S2-compliant speaker would be similar in size and output etc to the old (lovely) Play:3?    Thanks !    Mike

Hi all, First post here so hi everyone! I’m renovating and putting in a home gym which will also double up as a cinema room & golf simulator. My room is approx 8m x 5m and I’m looking to put in Sonos speakers so that I can listen to music when using it as a gym but then also have speakers that would work well enough when using as a cinema room. Ideal situation is that I have one speaker set up that works well for both so I was thinking one of the following options but am not sure if they would work. So I would love some feedback and I’m open to other suggestions. 4 ceiling (or other type) speakers: Could this work as surround i.e. two for rear left & rear right and then two for front left, front right & centre? Does a pair of Sonos split right and left and can two Sonos also incorporate centre as well as front and right? Soundbar plus 4 speakers: Whilst I’m pretty sure all cannot be used together (is this right), if I had a soundbar and 4 speakers, would I be able to use th

Since the app update the ‘continue listening’ section within the BBC Sounds music service doesn’t work - whenever a title is selected it just starts from the beginning. Is this likely to be fixed anytime soon, because it’s really annoying?

Hi, I have just purchased an Arc and a Sub and have a couple of questions.Does Sonos products work without an internet connection? What data is sent out by my Sonos equipment (and to who/where does it end up)For security reasons I switch off internet access for all devices which are not essential, eg, the television (I used AppleTV instead), my printer, etc. So these devices have wifi access but no internet. I tried doing that with my Sonos system but found some unusual behaviour. First, the sub stopped working and only came back when I restored internet access, and second, I cannot use Trueplay when internet access is off - why? Why on earth is internet access required for local functions? I am guessing this is a bug? Surely the system should operate completely without internet access? What happens if Sonos goes bust? I am considering returning my equipment but am hoping this is a bug. (Will Sonos see this? If not what are the support options to get an official response?)Thanks in adv

Today I successfully updated to the latest 16.3 Firmware and Windows Desktop Controller.I subsequently performed an “Update Music Library Now” from the 16.3 Windows Desktop Controller.Now any Sonos Controller (including SonoPhone, SonoPad) show multiple entries for each compilation album when viewing Albums.Just an example shown below... Does anyone else have this issue?Ross.

I have a Sonos 5 in a large living room. It's fine. I want to add a single speaker in the next room so the music is uninterrupted as I move around. Another Sonos 5 is too much money. Stereo listening is not a priority as it's two separate rooms.Any suggestions? Era 100 or Era 300 or other?Thanks 

Can the Sonos Ray soundbar be synched with Sony remote controls?

Before I look elsewhere, are SONOS planning on producing a CD player in the near future?

I just downloaded Radio Tunes app on my phone which plays my favorite 90s and 00s songs and was wondering how do I connect it to my Sonos home system. Please any help with this?

Following the recent Sonos update, the desktop application refuses to add the library. Despite numerous results on search, Sonos seemingly is refusing to resolve the 913 issue.It was suggested I move the library to an external hard drive. Which I did and now I get the 1002 error. Sonos resolution to this is meaningless and doesn’t help. Apple Music will play through Sonos but the Sonos app refuses to load the library which means I can’t play any music using either the desktop or the mobile app.Has anyone found a solution this to and please in plain English. There are a lot of answers which are gobbleeegook...

I am trying to add a preowned sonos sub gen 2 to my home theatre which has a playbase and sonos play 3 surrounds.When flashing green light appears and I press the join butyon, the flashing green light changes to orange and afyer a few seconds it changes to steady amber.After some minutes I receive an error message that the sub cannot be added.Also, many minutes later the flashing green light returns.The sonos system is running on S1 software.There are other components in the building, namely, 3xmove, 2xplay 5 gen1, 3x bridge.I need help to add this sub.

The order of albums doesn’t make sense and there’s no sort functionality to fix it. This has been an issue going back over 6 years. Will this ever be fixed Sonos? See the attached examples where Little Simz latest album is not at the top of the bottom but 6 from the bottom of the list!

I have an ipad air 12.9” M2 6th gen 2024. Trying to trueplay the ARC I get device not supported. The official trueplay page does not list this model as Not Supported or in Coming Soon.Will trueplay be supported or is this a bug?
