I would like to upgrade my existing Arc gen 1 to Arc ultra, but I cannot claim the upgrade discount mentioned by many on the Sonos website. In addition to my registered products under the system tab, the update option is not offered. Arc + 2 x Sub Gen 3 + 2 x Era 300
After a little research, I was surprised to notice that Hungarian users are not eligible. It is more interesting, considering that all neighboring countries do. There is Hungarian support and service, but no upgrade discount? So how is this?
Moreover, it is the same with my friend who lives in London. He also has the same Sonos products, but the upgrade discount is not available there either.

Do you have any ideas how we can get the 15% discount?

The Upgrade section of the website has not caught up with the updated T&Cs of the Upgrade program.

Other users have confirmed that Sonos will honour the Arc’s 15% upgrade credit over the telephone when an order is placed.

As to why there are country restrictions for the Upgrade program, only Sonos can answer that.

At home, I could still find an excuse for the country border part, but the United Kingdom is included in the list of the update program, but the function is not available there either.
If the discount is also available when ordering by phone, we will try that way. Thanks for the information.

The ability for a user to select the Arc and Sub (Gen3) requires Sonos to amend the website as those products do not show as eligible for the upgrade, even although the Upgrade T&Cs confirm they are now eligible products.

This is still a plausible and acceptable explanation. Unfortunately, the discount is not available for Era 300s either. Thus, the situation described in the first post still exists.

Era 300s are not eligible products. A 15% upgrade credit is not available on them no matter where you reside.

A product generally becomes eligible for the upgrade program when that specific product is superseded with a new product. ie. Arc with Arc Ultra, Sub (Gen3) with Sub (Gen4)

Yes, I realized that as well. :)  I could only apply for Arc and Gen 3 subs.
Did you know that these upgrade discount coupons are transferable? I don't have any idea about this yet, just an idea.

If you buy a 2nd hand eligible product and the discount has not been claimed, then yes the new owner can claim the discount.

Some of the older products have a 30% upgrade credit but hit and miss if the discount is still available on them unless you ask the specific question before buying, or it’s stated in the listing.

I read somewhere that a 15% discount is also available with a student discount. How can this be enforced? Because there is no information about the payment options on the Sonos website.

There are databases that hold student data that Sonos can possibly cross-reference against, or students may need to go through a separate website where the student discount is applied. Never looked into the student discount so I don’t know the exact process that applies to it.
