Hello,I would like to have your thoughts using a pair of Sonance/Sonos architectural wall speakers in a pair of DIY wooden speaker box specifically prepared for these speakers (instead of putting them in the wall).Would it be possible? How would be the quality of the sound?I don’t want to make halls in my walls, and to be able to benefit from Trueplay feature in a Dolby Digital 4.1 setting using my Sonos Amp, Sonos Sub Gen 2, and a pair of Play 3s as surrounds.Thank you very much in advance for your responses.
I currently have a bridge (8-9 years old) needed for outdoor speakers. It’s my only component that operates under the S1 app and, ideally, I would like all components under S2 now. What is the appropriate piece to buy...a port or boost? I’m assuming port but I’m not finding the answers I need. Or is there another option?
Hi can the roam play at the same time as the one and 5 and sub? the Sonos app doesn’t allow me to play music on the whole system including the roam. it’s either roam on its own without the rest or all the other speakers on their own without the roam. is this normal or am I doing something wrong? thanks.
2018 Vizio TV connected to new Sonos Beam. Every couple of minutes the audio cuts out for a few seconds. Similar experience to all the others that have posted here under same title. Diagnostic confirmation number: 1230383811. Please help. Beam was a gift from my girlfriend and she is really upset.
Having an issue with my Beam where the bass sounds like your in a cheap car trying to play songs the sound system can’t handle - unsure if clipping is an accurate description of this. I can only use the volume at low levels so this doesn’t happen. Bought the Beam in October and have never gone overdrive with the volume. It occurs when I’m listening to music, watching TV, playing games, the whole lot. Connected with HDMI 2.1 to an LG CX and connected via Ethernet cable. Diagnostic number is 485750751. Thanks
I have a network of two Sonos Ones, and on a daily basis, or at least a few times a week the S2 app doesn't connect. This has been going on as long as I remember. I can still perfectly use the system through my SmartThings hub, but it's obviously limited.I have read in the app review that many others seem to have this problem.I assume this is a bug, as the app itself (and with recent improved functionality) guides through the process of restarting the speakers. This helps most of the time, but it's not good enough in the long run.I assume Sonos are aware? Is this bug going to be fixed, and if so, when?
I was really excited to receive the roam to extend my music to the other rooms - but am as much more disappointed of its functionality. It doesn’t keep the charging - turns on and off without instruction and is hard to get connected when needed. Quite annoying and demotivating for such an investment - knowing there are other and cheaper loudspeaker systems. As much as I am impressed by the beam the roam is a flop ...
I turn on the device start playing music and without warning the device turns itself off
MorningDoes anyone know if the sound quality on my sub would sound better underground or above ground?
I can’t see a way to add a station to an alarm. For example, I listen to Folk Alley through Sonos Radio, yet there does not seem to be a path to create an alarm with this channel, as only certain stations appear in the list of available alarm music choices. Am I missing something in the Alarm setup
I like many others over the years have invested thousands of pounds in sonos. I am completely fed up with sonos removing my ability to get updates deeming my system archaic, always being asked to upgrade or buy new with 30% discount!.my sound bar and subwoofer are now in a box in the garage! Not good enough Sonos! I invested Thousands in your product to be let down!!!!!!
I’ve recently noticed my Sonos Arc is slightly curved – if looking down from above. I wanted to ask if this is a part of the design, or a defect? I don’t have mine mounted, but if I did, the bracket on the back would NOT be flush with the wall.Has anyone else noticed this?
Originally with my Pro 6’s I had some WiFi issues, which ended up being caused by my wireless subwoofer (Sony HT-ST5000). I fixed it by locking my subwoofer to a single 5.2 ghz channel and turning on “secure link”. My theory at the time was that eero would learn that that particular channel was too noisy and not bother with it.Since the 6.2 update the same WiFi issues seem to have resurfaced, sometimes my connection is fine and other times I have incredibly slow speeds (sub 1mbps on a fiber connection 10 feet from the eero). My subwoofer is having intermittent connection issues too. Granted this could all be a coincidence, but it started happening the day 6.2 was installed on my network. Is anyone else experiencing anything similar?
Here’s a suggestion, if a update is released and affects users worldwide making their £$€¥1000’s systems useless, why not have this information as a leading banner on the Sonos website saying sorry along with ‘we are very sorry for the inconvenience and are working round the clock to rectify this’ instead of ‘ ‘ YES NOTHING. You have to find out thru other forums that everyone else affected too with the same issue. Right now I’m talking about S1 but am aware with the descriptions in the forums that S2 is also having the same issues - ‘components dropping off’ with combined ‘erratic playback’ also ‘insufficient buffer blah blah’ So SONOS as a customer relations exercise have many running thru standard trouble shooting - including messing around Routers that are fine on everything else, I really really cannot believe in the middle of this update crisis that Sonos is not straight with everyone in the first place - and please read the vast amount of social media forum comments before
https://www.ecoustics.com/news/tidal-mqa-price-change-2021/A 33% premium over 16/44 lossless, for what many in the industry argue is actually a degradation in quality? I’d bet many subscribers would simply opt for the regular lossless tier. Could MQA now wither on the vine?
I have a tunein account since many years and a list of favorites super selected. Why I can't add the tune in account on Sonos as I am able add all my other streaming and music accounts? Now the radios list of my tune in account are different from those in Sonos!
I have been struggling with Sonos for a while now.First they stop supporting some of my old gear. Ok, we’ve moved on. Then Tunin stops relaying foreign radio stations. That is pretty bad, I hear sonos say “It’s not our fault”; well sonos, my contract is with you, not tunein Then came sonos radio, it doesn’t give me anything I didn’t have before - I was hoping it would fix above, but no, it doesn’t :( Alight, so I add my radio stations manually. and there is the cherry on the cake:I have to spend time finding the URL(s), putting them into Sonos - This is irritating: my cousin call me from France last week: “in 5 minutes, list to “France Info” - “No can do (not on sonos anyway), it’ll take me more that 5 minutes to find that url” When you manually add a station, it goes into “Tunin stations” - no idea why, this is beyond me, but I can just about live with this and add them to my sonos - An extra stop, ok. And then, I get adverts. what would appear to be Tunein adverts, on manually added
Hi - I currently have my Arc set up using HDMI with Apple TV HD, and 2 One SL’s set up over the Wi-fi. I’d like to set that as the default for all types of media from the Apple TV - this seems to be a gap, however, falling down between Apple and Sonos. any guidance most appreciated!
Support staffs was great in handling my issues regarding blown sonos play:1 and offer replacement under warranty. I promptly shipped my device back to SONOS and was received by them within 3 days as per tracking number provided. Since then, I have not heard back. The email said that i should have received the replacement in a week but its been already more than 2 weeks and i have not got my replacement neither any communications. IS IT NORMAL? When i called support they say the issue has been escalated but havenot been able to provide updates regarding whats going on but just standard reply that we have received the product and the case been escalated. Any help would be highly appreciated. My case number is 02****64 Mod Edit: Case number removed. Please don’t share identifying information on the forum.
Can anyone help me with optimising the sound on the arc where it is not positioned under the tv?because of space I have had to place it to the left hand side thanks
Hi I am building a surround sound set-up from scratch but my priority is invisibility (small children destroy things). My plan is:Arc = Front L/R + CentreAmp = Rear L/R (Sonance In-Wall)Sub = SubFrom reading things on this forum and the Sonos FAQs I think this set-up will work and will be compatible with TruePlay...am I correct? Thanks from a beginner!
I have left my Roam constantly plugged in using the original adapter from Sonos and the cable that was supplied with the speaker. What I find odd is that the battery level fluctuates from 97% to 100% even though I have never unplugged it. This never happens with my 18 month old Move - once sat on the dock and fully charged, it always stays at 100%. Is this expected behaviour or could it be a fault? I am concerned as I don't want to unnecessarily degrade the Roam battery over time. Thanks for any advice - would be great to know if there is anything "official" on this from Sonos.
Until today, I was under the impression that I could only Airplay to devices that are enabled with this capability. In my case only my Amp is identified in my Sonos app as having this capability. None of my other older devices are identified as Airplay compatible. However, this morning I was playing a programme from the BBC Sounds app and was streaming it via Airplay to my Amp, but to my surprise I heard the same programme being played through my other speakers in other rooms.it seems that if, in Sonos, I select Amp plus other speakers, Airplay not only plays through the Amp but to theseother speakers as well.Is this news to anyone else?
Hi all! Finally got Nintendo Switch for my 4 year old. I do know that I can not get surround on my Playbar, Play 3 and SUB but I can barely hear anything and must crank the volume to 75 % !!!!! to hear something in stereo, i presume. How do you haver your Switch/Tv setup?Thank youNeven
I'm sure this isn't the first time this has been brought up, but does anyone else have a need for input only devices to bring sources into their Sonos system. I am thinking an HDMI dongle that would plug into the arc port of your tv so you could use a stereo pair of speakers, a soundbar isn't ideal in my application. Also I am sure an Audio input device would be handy for turntables, cd players etc. I know there is the port but in lots of applications you don't need the output. I guess at the end of the day a port with an HDMI port would cover it all, they are just so damn expensive.
