I have a question regarding the current situation regarding multi-channel LPCM with the Sonos Arc and the broken down-mixing from 4 to 2 surround channels. I know there's supposed to be a fix coming, but I've seen it again and again that such promises have been broken (not talking about Sonos, but tech companies in general). Also, a fix has been promised for four months now, and the longer it takes, the more likely it is that it will never be fixed – it’s apparently not so easy to fix.So I want to know what I'm getting into before buying the Arc + 2 One SLs as surrounds.I use an Apple TV, an Xbox Series X and soon a PS5 with an LG GX (eARC-capable). With consoles, I'd like to use 5.1 LPCM. With the Apple TV, everything should be output as what it is (Atmos as Atmos, 7.1 as 7.1, 5.1 as 5.1, 2.0 as 2.0), but I don't care if as bitstream or as LPCM.The question is: will the broken mix-down affect me with my setup?Can I set the consoles to output 5.1 LPCM and the Sonos Arc will play the si

HiI have a Sonos beam and last week after no problems at all I realised I was only receiving Stereo PCM when I was receiving Dolby 2.0 or 5.1 depending on the app or program etc.  I have fiddled around with the settings and it will let me change from stereo to multichannel bypass but I have to do this manually every time I turn the TV on. Very strange as I never had to do this previously. Any help or advice would be really great! Thanks Michael

Hi, we are moving and the new home lends itself to the in-ceiling speakers for home theater. right now, i have sonos play bar and sonos play:1’s as back speakers.  How would i connect the playbar and amp together for the sound.  Also, could i put the amp in another room and connect to playbar?  i am thinking of putting in room where the cabling runs will terminate.

Hi. I just purchased a Pro-Ject T1 turntable for my family for Christmas. It will be in the living room with two Play 5s. How will I connect it so the pair runs in stereo? Do I plug the turntable into one and it will recognize the pair or do I need separate cables for left and right? Just want to make sure I get any necessary cable in had in advance.Thanks!

Hello everyone,I have an issue with my HTPC only being able to output Stereo PCM.Would you kindly advise what could help to solve the issue so that I could play games on HTPC getting full surround effect via LPCM or at least Dolby Digital Live? I have the following configuration:PC (NVIDIA 2070 Super) >> HDMI >> TV (Panasonic VIERA TX-55AS640E >> Sonos Arc (HDMI Arc) + 2x Sonos One SLFrom what I read so far I believe my issue is that my TV can’t pass the signal further.Some additional comments:Would a TV with an eARC solve the issue? Is there any other option for how to work around this? E.g. I’ve read about editing EDID, getting a soundcard, getting HDMI/optical switch, running both HDMI and optical cable (not sure if this is applicable for non-receiver setup with Sonos Arc though) Streaming movies from PC via DLNA to TV enables me to receive Dolby Digital 5.1 (this is not applicable to gaming though) Streaming Netflix from TV’s app enables me to receive Dolby Digita

I have been using SONOS since the product came out and am currently have a SONOS S1 based system. I have upgraded the AMPS but have three generation 1 Play 5’s that are preventing me form going to S2.  The total cost to upgrade to S2 is over 1K and I am having a hard time justifying the price to to the upgrade if I am not going to get a major benefit.  All of our music file are ripped to the FLAC format and stored on a SYNOGY DS1815+ NAS. The connection to the NAS is via the SMB1 protocol which they may not support when they release the SYNOLOGY DSM7.x update latter this year. In addition SMB1 is considered a security risk. I cannot get a answer form SONOS on how the S2 based products will access the NAS. My wife does stream some music from various sources but this is not the main source . UPDATE:I just looked at some other threads on the forum for some additional information on S2 and  and will NOT be taking the plunge to S2 anytime soon based on what has been posted so far. 

Just purchased a Sonos arc and about to buy a Samsung frame TV i am hearing that the arc won’t work properly with this tv . Can anyone advise . Thanks 

I have a new setup.  Sonos Arc + Sonos ceiling rears and Sonos sub with Sonos Amp.  Watching Freeview programs from TV, sound fine.  Watching Netflix from Roku stick via Arcana sound greatLast night watched Ammonite from TV Curzon Home and the sound was slightly echoey.  Why would that be?  Is there a cure for next time?Thanks

Will the Play 5make a difference if added to Arc+ 2 ones, and sub? 

Connection Phantom Gold Devialet to a Sonos System with Sonos Port : How to Manage the Delay ?Hello I have a sonos system with One sonos Move, 3 Sonos SL, 1 Sub and a sonos Port in which I have plug my Devialet Phantom Gold. Unfortunately there is a delay in the sound of my Devialet compare to the other speaker from sonos when I put them together. How I can fix that ? My objective is to play my Devialet WITH some other Sonos speakers. Is that possible with the Sonos Port ? (which is connected via the optic cable to the Devialet using a another connector RCA / optic )  Thanks a lot. 

Will the Roam not ship with the wireless charger? There is a separate order that has the speaker and charger together??

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Qobuz Premier as far as quality goes in general and how it might compare with the other hi-res services. Can you tell the difference and is it worth the $$. Primarily listening with Movepair of Play 1s, Arc Surround setup, Beam surround setup with no bass, Playbar surround setup no bass as well as a Play 1 pair setup.

Does anyone know where I can buy Play:1 mounting screws in Australia? I have tried M5 and M6 screws and they certainly don’t work. the 1/4” x 20 (¼ long) I am finding very difficult to find.Many thanks!

Bought some 16 gauge outdoor speaker wire, 4x 60ft runs to some Yamaha 6 ohm speakers controlled by 2x Sonos Amps.These guys:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00141CTQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0001VHARY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1Before buying I researched quickly and bought 16 gauge wire based on this Sonos article:https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4764?language=en_US Once I stripped the wire I started second guessing myself, and now I’m wondering if I should have gotten 14 gauge based on some other things I’ve read.I could pull new wire fairly easily since I haven’t tied everything down yet.  Should I upgrade to 14 gauge, or should 16 gauge be sufficient? 

I know this is an old request.  But, is anyone at SONOS working on making it possible to see my Pandora stations alphabetically?   It is difficult to use with the current “most recent” sort.thanks Larry

I have Hulu with live tv and regardless of which setup I play it on I keep only getting stereo PCM 2.0. Am I missing something or is Hulu just crap. Hi, Been reading a few comments about about sound issues and Atmos availability on Samsung. Before I unbox this could someone give me a definitive answer for a UK based customer Will I get full Dolby Atmos functionality on a Samsung Q90T with native apps? I have the TV sitting in front of me, but if its not ready to go out the box I may send it back for a TV that is fully compatible. 

I’m buiding a 500 sq ft outdoor patio.  The roof is a high pitch (12-14ft).  Opens to backyard.  House is on the other 3 sides (front, right, left). I was considering adding 4 Sonos (Archtectural) in Ceiling speakers.  Realize they aren’t rated for outdoor.  Has anyone tried this?  Again, it’s in the ceiling of the patio and not exposed directly to sunlight or water or even wind. But, it is Houston, Texas, so plenty of humidity. Open for suggestions.  Thank you!

I’ve invested thousands of pounds in Sonos tech and I’m, on the whole, very happy with the products, features and company.However recently, I’ve become saddened by Sonos’s behaviour. Trying to force customers to renew speakers just represents corporate greed.I was so pleased at the global reaction last year to their announcement that certain products would stop working.But now, Sonos seems to want to change tack and use different techniques…. putting a stupidly large banner in the S1 app and telling users they should upgrade (thus making certain speakers unusable) is pathetic.Come on Sonos, recognise loyalty, do the right thing, stop using playground behaviour and people will show even more loyalty and your sales will grow.Disappointed, of England

Bonjour je souhaiterais acheter une barre son sonos arc pour l'utiliser avec ma tv samsung QE65Q90R de 2019 mais j'ai vu sur certains forums que cette télé n'est pas compatible avec la technologie earc sur la plupart des plates-formes comme Netflix. TCL Series 8 -  65Q825 - Roku TV e-arc capable.Verizon Fios One Cable BoxSonos ArcSonos Arc connected directly to HDMI arc port on TV - #4 port. Cable box connected via HDMI to TV.TV display list e-arc in port # 4. Will NOT detect CEC. States “no CEC devices found”. Not receivingDolby Atmos as a result on known Atmos sources.Very frustrated.
