Hi,Got a few questions regarding a Sonos Roam that concerns me…Multiple networks? Set up a new network when visiting family, back home it didnt recognize our network anymore, a lot of time to solve that issue, as the app was showing the wrong instructions for getting it back.. (how to click the buttons when reconnecting) Bluetooth. I cant play through the SONOS app to the Roam when outside and lost the wifi? isnt that the thing? Cant start playing music when i’ve put it at charging.. had to remove the charger and start the music, then back on power source.. Always dead of some reason?BRErik
Hi there, I used to be able to control Sonos on 5ghz, but now it seems impossible.I tried to toubleshoot myself and read other questions here, but none solved the issue. Can you help me please? This is my diagnostic #781152974.Thanx in advance.
Hi,i‘ve got a new Sonos ARC, Sonos SL and Sonos Sub (Gen. 3) setup. With this, i‘ve got problems with some Apple Music Dolby Atmos Tracks on the connected Apple TV.The Bass seems to be to high. It sounds like a bass with an overdriven volume, but the problem is on low volume too.In tracks like „The Weeknd - Binding Lights“ the problem is very strong.TruePlay is activated and I have tried a few settings like loudness with the same result. In the sleepingroom, i‘ve got a Sonos Beam.I am more impressed from this sound! The Sonos Beam has a better Sourround experience (without sourround speakers, but a smaller room) and the bass is more clear. All firmwares are up to date.Reading all the good things about the Arc. Is mine defect?Greetings from HamburgSebastian
Hello! Trying to connect to Spotify on my Sonos app, but the service simply doesn’t show up on the list of music services. There’s no errors, etc; out of the services offered to connect to, Spotify isn’t one of them.I’m currently in South Korea, where Spotify launched its services fairly recently (as of this year or so?); perhaps that may have something to do with it?If this question has been answered already, apologies; the problems I have been having are little different than the previous postings that I’ve found and did not seem to address the issue.
Dear Amp users, the volume balance left/right goes up to +20 L/R. Does anyone know if this represents the dB level? Meaning, if I give the right speaker +2, does that increase the right speaker by 2dB? Thanks
Buying a home that has 8 pairs of wired speakers (total 16) throughout (including a multigenerational suite). The family room is two stories and does not have any speakers, so I was planning to buy an Arc for the TV. If we plan on using the 8 pairs of speakers for music only, how many amps would we need? I don’t mind having two rooms playing the same music at same volume if that helps. We would ideally like to connect the Arc to also play music when not watching TV. I’m hoping I misunderstood some of the other threads, because it sounds like I’d have to buy 8 amps? That’ll be pricey 😔
Hi,I’m new to Sonos. We have an Arc soundbar connected to our TV (sounds great) and wanted to start playing our CDs and albums again. Thinking of getter the Sonos Amp amplifier. How do you connect both, turntable and CD player) to the Sonos Amp amplifier? Thanks!
Does anyone know what the last 2 recent firmware updates to the Roam included? There is nothing on the Sonos website under release notes regarding these updates. Thanks in advance!
I’ve currently got a playbar, and planning to add additional speakers as I now have a bigger place. Was going to get 2 x Roams but have some questions hoping to get help with 🤞 Can they be configured to create surround sound set up with playbar? if so, can they also be used independently in another room if you take them mobile? thanks for any help
Hi, i have the Marley Stir it up vinyl player. This vinyl player includes a pre amp function and a bluetooth connection. With this features I thought I could connect it to my speaker sonos 1 easily but it does not connect and I learnt reading some discussion on this community that the sonos one speaker does not have a bluetooth connection.can you please confirm me which model I should use to make sure I can use my Marley device ?Roam or Move correct? Will they be ok to connect to the Marley device described above? Thank you!
Hi,Testing Amazon HD vs Spotify. On the Amazon app when using Airplay, tapping the Ultra HD logo of a song confirms that it is playing 24-bit / 44.1 khz. Still on the Amazon music app, when selecting my room (same Sonos speakers), the app shows that it cannot confirm the bit-rate. My question is: is it only the info that is not available thru Sonos or is there an audio quality advantage to use Airplay? Thanks Nicolas
I have a Sonos Play:1 that I am trying to connect to.It was previously connected via a Sonos Bridge but I understand that isn’t needed anymore. I have moved to another house with a new wifi network. I installed the Sonos S2 app on my phone (iOS) and my Windows laptop. But on neither apps can I find the Play:1 via Wifi or connected to the router.I also don’t have access to the System option in the iOS app and the Windows app just redirects me to the website which tells me to install the iOS app.So I’m kind of stuck. Is there somebody that can help me with this?
HiI recently buy a pair or Fives for music and home theater. For an immersive expérience, i buy a pair of Symfonisk to put them in surround but how ?! Do i need a beam or playbar or arc ?! But in this case, my fives are useless ! 🥵thanks for your help
I am trying to login to the app from my iPhone but its unable to recognise the login details (they are 100% correct) I can login to Sonos fine if I use a web browser any ideas thanks
I have an existing Sonos network with 6 players of various types. I’m thinking of buying a Beam. But I need to understand how it will interact with my Sonos players. I can’t find much info on the subject. The closest I get is some rather terse statements in the Sonos User Guide under “home theatre settings”. The “TV Autoplay” and “Ungroup on Autoplay” settings could do with a bit more explanation…Can somebody please comment on following assumptions / questions:I can add Beam to one of my existing groups. As long as the TV is off, Beam behaves like just another player in the group. When I turn on the TV, there are several possibilities: TV Autoplay = on, Ungroup on Autoplay = on (default) Beam switches to TV audio Beam drops from the group The other players in the group continue playing whatever they were playing TV Autoplay = on, Ungroup on Autoplay = off Beam and all other members of the group switch to TV audio TV Autoplay = off Beam and all other members of the group co
Since I’ve tried customer service with both Sonos and Sophos, I thought I’d put this out there for any suggestions/wisdom.Macbook Pro, running 10.13OS, Sonos 1 Desktop App and Sophos Home Premium 10.0.4 (and have had the same setup for some time with no issues). While the Sonos desktop app will show connection to the system when checking “connect to existing Sonos system”, it never gets past the main screen error message “Sorry, we can’t connect to Sonos”. Mobile apps work fine (all on the same wi-fi network).Turning off Sophos does not change anything, but uninstalling it brings Sonos back (and reinstalling permits it for a day, then the issue returns).Obviously, these two aren’t playing nicely together - again, I’ve been trying to get help on both ends. Any thoughts appreciated.
I am buying an ark to provide soundfor my television. Well I also be able to use it to play music withmy other Sonos one speakers?
I have a new Sonos Arc, subwoofer, and two rear SLs in my living room; in my study I have a separate turntable, receiver and speakers (and my vinyl collection). I would like to be able to connect my Rega RP1 turntable into my new Sonos system. How can I do that?
Hello again Sonos comrades.I was just wondering if somebody more technical than myself could speak to whether it's better to use a top-of-the-line wi-fi router or a Sonos boost. Or if there is any benefit to using both together.I recently came into possession of a Netgear router with WiFi 6 capability and high throughput. I am pretty sure it's the best you can get on the consumer market before getting into industrial routers.I got it because have some WiFi weak zones in my home caused by a dense brick chimney that runs through the middle of my house. This causes some of my sonos speakers to drop out or disappear.Currently I am still using 2 Sonos boosts with the new router and I think I have seen a marginal improvement in performance quality. But its certainly not been the panacea I was hoping for; especially for the price I paid for the router. My question is, would I be better off without the Sonos boosts? Is it possible the boosts themselves are impeding the potential of the router?
Does anyone have any idea why Sonos won’t update SMB? It is literally 15 years out of date. If you want to use local media files, are there any other options?
Hi Sonos -I am increasingly frustrated by differences between the desktop app and the phone one. I hugely prefer to use the desktop app - largely S1 because, as an early adopter I have at least ten Sonos products to control. It’s also an age/vision/dexterity thing. I have a large music library, about 35k tracks, and navigate using the Folders tab. BUT, it’s not available in the phone app to navigate neither On This Device nor the Music Library. Please see if it’s possible to make this aspect of the phone app match the desktop app.Thanks,Ian.PS It is of course possible that I am missing something. If so, please show me how.
can I connect SYMFONISK frame to the Beam? thanks a lot
Hi there I am looking to purchase a record player and need some support to ensure I am ordering the right product for me. We already have :- 2 x Play1 (I think this is what we have, we have had them a couple of years now so may be an older version). They are not wireless. - 1x sound bar which we have for the tv - 1 x subwoofer I am looking at what the best option for a vinyl player would be? It would be placed in the same room as the sub woofer and Play1. Are either of these compatible? Or would we need something else? Also is it recommended to get one already with the amp built in or not?
Not sure if this is a new problem or if I just noticed it.The left rear surround One SL is much more quiet than the right. Or maybe the right is louder. Either way…it makes me feel like I have hearing loss in my left ear when watching a movie because of the unbalanced volume in the surround speakers.I’ve retuned trueplay, and removed the rear speakers from the surround system then re-added them and retuned trueplay and it has not fixed the problem.I submitted diagnostics: 1027529887Looks like I’m not the only one with this problem, but haven’t seen a good solution beyond skipping trueplay and setting everything up manually…but the audio quality sucks compared to trueplay.
Quick question. I have speakers which are compatible with S2 app, though the Bridge and connect both need to stay in the S1 app. Will my speakers still speak to the connect if I want to play vinyl from the record player?
