I'm thinking about buying Sonos Arc, I don't have that much money but I wanted to invest in it, I saw some videos, and they say that with two more OneSL the Arc's sound doubles (at least in music), is it true? and is it worth buying these SLs? (I already have a play:1, is it worth buying the second one instead of the two Sls?)Or should I wait a little longer and buy the set with the Sls and the sub?And by the way, is the Sonos Amp worth it for this surround?   

I have an Arc connected to my Vizio TV via HDMI/ARC.  All works fine.  Then I added an Amp connected to a pair of wired speakers.  No audio comes out the wired speakers when watching video.  I tried a 5.1 surround sound test video to confirm this.  If I touch volume control on the Amp a chime sound comes out of the wired speakers so I believe that part is working.  Everything has white status lights.  Any tips? 

Another completely random and inexplicable fail. Have had a Sonos Playbase for about three years now. It’s been set up under the LG Oled TV all that time and has worked fine – remote paired (eventually) and all functioned as expected. However, suddenly, the remote will no longer control the TV’s volume. I’ve searched everywhere for similar issues, but to no avail. I thought a simple workaround would be to unpair the remote and set it up again, but instructions on how to do that are impossible to come by. There’s nothing in the LG audio settings or Sonos app that has changed, nor anything that seems likely to solve the issue.I’ve tried the classic unplug, wait and reboot method. Again, nothing. So I’m forced to use the TV’s internal speaker, not what I expected when I spent 800 euros on a Playbase. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi, I have an arc and 2 One SLs (a surround setup), can I add a connect amp and 3rd party active sub to get 5.1.2, for both Music and TV (TV connected to ARC)?Thanks

I have had surround sound set up and working in conjunction with my Arc and Sub for 10 months. Over the last few days it has stopped working. My app is up to date, all my equipment is up to date. I have reset and rebooted both Sonos 1 speakers. I have rebooted my wifi (nothing else has a problem with wifi). I get two messages, depending on where I am in the rebooting process:There was a problem adding your surrounds. Check the network connection and make sure your products are powered on (done)Your left surround is unavailable. You can add a new surround or remove the existing one (have tried both).The Arc, and both Sonos 1 speakers all work independently of each other, just not as a surround.Please help! 

I need help. My beam connected to Samsung TV using either ARC or optical adapter started making humming noise that increases in intensity as the volume is increased. I submitted a diagnostic report 183645054. Please help.

Would you prefer to have a stereo-pair of Sonos for gaming or use a headset? Anyone using Sonos for virtual reality yet? 

I changed my wifi password and was able to update 4 of 5 of my devices in the app. When I go to add the final speaker, it claims the app is out of date and will not let me progress. When I go to the app in Playstore it says it is up to date.  I am on version 13.2 Sonos OS S2 I have factory reset the speaker, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on both my phone and tablet. I have also restarted my phone and tablet.I found a similar issue from a post two years ago. Tried everything on that list and was unable to resolve this issue.

Hello dear support I read lots of comments about beeing abke to make move souroundsound avble. I understand when unbonding and bondong it takes lots of tome and configuration. I want to play anything I have connected to my Arcam Solo Movie on my Sonos network. Is this possible? I assume I’d need a Sonos Port? What connections would I need?I assume this would also allow me to play streamed music etc from Sonos app on/through my Arcam/wired speakers?I’ve seen lots of articles about connecting a turntable to the Port but that’s not what I’m looking for.

I have several different groups set up on my Sonos system (multiple Sonos Ones).   In the Sonos App, I would like to be able to select which group to play and/or to switch between groups (e.g. sometimes I want to play music in the living room, but nowhere else.   In short, I’m simply trying to figure out how to play music in different rooms at different times thru the Sonos App.  I assumed I could just switch the group that was playing, but I cannot make that work.)   Can someone tell me how?Thanks

Will a gen 2 sub work with Sonos Arc ?

I’m wanting to up Grade to the Sonos ARC from a JBL 3.1 Sound bar. I really like the JBL 10” powered wireless Sub. Its Fills the room so well and nothing is wrong with it. Will this Wireless Sub be able to connect to the Sonos ARC?I have heard the Sonos Subs and they sound very nice but i see no reason to spend the extra money when i already have a sub that works well in this room.  

The house set up i’m moving into allows me to see my  75 inch t.v in the living room 22 feet away in my bed(while the doors are open)I’m hoping to get an arc and a beam, Have the arc connected to the t.v, and then use the beam through wifi so I can still have more immersive sound in my bedroom while watching tv, Plus also have speakers in different rooms for music. Is it possible to do this? Can you turn the Arc volume down, have the beam in the same room(in the app) and then turn the beam up to have more efficient and quieter sound in the bedroom while watching a movie, youtube, tv and gaming. 

Hello everyone!  For my TV setup, I’m planning on installing 2 in wall Sonos speakers, a Sonos amp, and a Sonos sub. Do do you think this is sufficient audio quality for watching TV and movies, or should I consider adding 2 sonos ceiling speakers to the mix?   If I do add the ceiling speakers, would I still be able to use the sub? I read somewhere that the sub doesn’t work when doing surround sound with 4 speaks. thanks for your thoughts! 

I plugged my CD player directly to Sonos 5 However, you can barely hear.Sonos customer support said I could connect direct Sonos 5 but that doesnt workDo I need a preamp?Has anyone been successful connecting to Sonos 5?My cd player could be badThank YouJack

I recently purchased a set that included Arc, Sub (Gen 3), One SL (Pair), but I’m now realizing that I will not be able to use all the components together due to the layout of the room and placement of the TV. As we figure out what to do, I’m hoping that a Sonos savant on here could answer the following:can I use the Arc as the rear speaker (behind where we sit while watching TV) and the pair of Ones as the front speakers (next to the tv) I have the option of hanging the Arc above the TV but it will be a few inches from the ceiling. I’ve read this is a bad idea. True? If I decide to not use the Arc, is it possible to just pair the Ones with the sub?Thanks for your thoughts!

Recommendation for a dedicated Sonos remote: My favorite CR200 is dying, dead spots on screen and probably not worth  buying a used one. I want to find a device (small) to use as a dedicated remote, I play mostly from Amazon and do have a small favorite list, also play a lot from the SonosTube app.  Don’t have a smartphone I could use for this and don’t want to use my iPad pro as well (too big to carry around 12.9). Looking for maybe an Android based OS hopefully can use as a remote, what I don’t know is minimum version of android I would need. iPhone too expensive just to buy and use as a dedicated remote, recommended please.

I’m considering whether Sonos amp will be the correct solution for my setup. I have playbar and sub in my living room. I also have in ceiling surround speakers that I would like to use rather than my play 1’s. I also have in ceiling speakers on my patio. I have a selector switch in the wall to toggle between the indoor and outdoor ceiling speakers. Is it possible to setup Sonos amp so that I can use the living room ceiling speakers as surround when watching tv, but disconnect from home theater and operate as stereo pair when I only want to listen to music outside on my patio without having all of the theater speakers on inside?

“Best way”, not “desk way”! can't see how to edit that so….Hi there,After some setup advice.I bought I record player, which I connect via a pre-amp to a Sonos AMP.I don't have any speakers attached to the amp. I group it with my Arc + L/R ones and Sub for the sound.This is working ok, but the base levels from the vinyl is nowhere near as meaty as my TV / digital music sound.I like some healthy base, but I don’t want to keep turning it up/down every time I move from the deck to TV etc.I’d also be interested if there is a smarter way to group or set this all up.Any thoughts welcome (but I'd like to avoid buying anything else!)   

I have an arc, with a sub bonded. Works fine via WiFi.  I added an Amp, also on WiFi and tried to bond it as surrounds to the arc via WiFi. It would not work after many attempts to bind as surrounds.The amp is less than 8 feet away from the arc.  (Note that I had two OneSL used as surrounds via WiFi with the arc and it worked fine  but I need to use the in ceiling speakers  )Then I  wired the amp, not the arc. I was able to get it to bond, with a warning that the arc should also be wired, but I ignored it and it successfully bonded. However there seemed to be little to no sound coming from the amp speakers. (This might be a bug I imagine - or the warning is really an error outright that should stop the binding. )So I then wired the arc and the sub too, then rebonded the amp as a surround. Now all is working , but everything is wired ( I disabled WiFi on amp, sub and arc  after it all worked wired to try to avoid stp problems in my network which is Ubiquiti ). I would really prefer not

Hi there, I have a Sonos Beam connected to my TV and a Move. When streaming music via the sonos app or via Spotify, all works fine. I can pair the two speakers and play music with great quality. However I have an issue when the Beam streams audio from the TV input (HDMI) to the Move. So if I am playing music on my TV (i.e. YouTube), and then group the Move and Beam together, the audio is perfect on the Beam, but it breaks up regularly (every 2-3 seconds) on the Move. I have tried resetting both but still get the issue. And it happens across the various sources on the TV. Any ideas? Thanks for your help. 

I am struggling mightily to figure out how to get audio to my new home theatre setup.   My old setup worked perfectly.  I hardline connected an old Gen appletv to the playbar via digital optical.  The playbar grouped wirelessly with my play 1 speakers and my sub.  I hardline connected my Apple TV to my hdmi wireless transmitter which sent the video image up to my projector.   The issue with my new setup is that the new appletv does not include digital optical.  So I do not know how to get sound to run through my Sonos speakers.  I upgraded to the new Apple TV because I’m using YouTube tv streaming service.  Do you have any solutions to this problem? Video Source -AppleTV 4k  Audio Sonos PLAYBAR  Play 1 (left)Play 1 (rightSub Wireless Video ConnectionNyrius Aries Home HDMI Digital Wireless Transmitter & Receiver ProjectorBenQ HT2050a projector mounted to the ceiling  Streaming Service YouTube TV Thank you,Loel

Although pCloud storage can be accessed via an SMB connection to a local machine that has pCloud support installed, it would be useful to remove the necessity of having that extra machine. Would pCloud people have to provide such a piece? If so, would this automatically allow content to be scanned and available as part of the Music Library? I presume so, but just checking.
