By using the magnetic mounting plate, battery life gets reduced for below 24h hours! Simply not using the magnetic plates, battery life comes back to normal… learned this from another community platform and couldnt belive that its true!

Hi all, I’ve set up and tuned a pair of Sonos One speakers as Surround for our existing (working) Playbar/Sub. During the tune process, I heard great sound from the surround pair of Ones. Once I began to watch TV, ther was no sound from the Ones (surround) but normal sound from the Playbar and Sub. Anyone know what to do next?

Hello: I’ve created a number of playlists with various songs from all genres downloaded on my desktop computer. However when I listen to and play back the playlist using my Play1 speaker, many of the songs, because they were recorded at different volume levels, don’t play at the same volume level. Some songs play back louder than others and as a result I am continuously having to increase or decrease the volume on the Play1 speaker, depending on the song.Is there a way to set the volume on the Sonos app or Play1 speaker so that the songs on the playlists play back at equal or the same volume levels?Apreciate any help or insight.Thanks.

I know, another thread started with this topic.  BUT…This is a LARGE installation, over 15 Sonos devices, in a very large home installation.On a Unifi Managed network.  I know EXACTLY the status of the six WiFI APs that are finely tuned for exact coverage in a intentionally designed network.I can SEE the Sonos devices on the network.I can see 82-99% signal strength of the sonos devices that the controller (and app) can’t see. The Sonos devices fall out of the Sonos network, yet remain on the WiFi network uninterrupted.  The EdgeRouter maintains the IP addresses of the missing Sonos units.  The MANAGED network works flawlessly for 75+ other devices on it, and SONOS is the only devices that ever have a problem.This forum is full of advice that basically says turn off all the Sonos devices and reboot your network router.  This is a ridiculous solution to advise customers to do constantly to resolve issues with your equipment.  And for th

I have a Sonos Arc with 5.1 in my living room. I also have one Play:1 in the bedroom and one Play:1 in the bathroom.  I like to have them all grouped when watching TV. The only thing what is a bit annoying is that when I change the volume with the TV remote only the Arc gets louder/softer. The other grouped speakers don't change.  It happens all to often that I decrease the volume on the TV and the sound comes from bedroom and bathroom what is not what I want and it sounds strange. Is there a possibility to synchronise the volume changes for the entire group when using the TV remote? I know it works when using the app.

HiJust noticed a very strange problem in the Sonos app. I have albums by the group FireHouse (note the capital H in the middle). I also have albums by the group HammerFall (note the capital F in the middle).In both cases the correct case artist names are stored in both the Artist and AlbumArtist tags in the FLAC tracks.In the screenshot below you can see that for some reason FireHouse is displaying as Firehouse (with no capital H) in the artist list and also the track queue, but is showing correctly in the Now Playing screen!! I have tried removing my music library and setting it up from scratch and re-indexing and I get the same resultYou can see from the screenshot below for HammerFall that the artist name is displaying correctly in all 3 parts of the screen

I just bought a Sonos Arc, Symfonisk Lamp and Symfonisk Wall Art speaker. I will add a sub soon. Does anyone know if I can use the Lamp and Wall Art as my L and R surround sound speakers? I have the Arc and Wall Art and the Lamp is supposed to be delivered in a couple days

I’m not sure if this is the right place. But, when I turn on the power to my PS5, it turn on as well as the apple TV. Same if I turn just the apple TV on. It will turn on my PS5 as well.Did I connect something wrong from the sonos arc speaker?

It seems that my question is hard to find an answer to, so i try here.I have an LG UHD 58” TV and my Sonos Playbar attached to it. When i play movies with Atmos Dolby i do not get any sound. Is it because the TV cannot scale it down or is it because my Playbar is to old? If it is because my TV is to old an not able to scale it down, it will have no difference if buy an Sonos Arc?

Please consider adding a feature to the 'About my system' in the Controller a count of tracks can be displayed and a used vs. remaining capacity % could be displayed.1. This would allow Sonos owners to manage their own libraries2. reduce cost for Sonos in removing unnecessary traffic to Support for such a trivial request allowing them to focus on more serious support issues 3. Remove the time and inconvenience for Sonos owners having to contact Sonos Support for a trivial request     

Anyone else having this issue? My Sonos Arc (with 2 SL and sub) sometimes does not play dolby digital or Atmos with my Samsung TV. It happens randomly as a sudden drop in sound (no sound at all). When it does, I have to select the PCM mode if I have to hear any sound. Both the TV and the Soundbar system are updated with the latest software. Also, the Arc is connected to the HDMI eARC port of the TV using the HDMI cable which came with the Sonossystem 

I recently got the Sonos move in February 2021 but the battery drains really fast. After 6hrs of continuous use instead of the normal 11-14hrs. I’ve tried contacting customer service and after submitting a bunch of diagnostics, they haven’t responded back which is very disappointing and poor. Anyone with a suggestion to improve battery life? Is the unit defective?

Seven months after purchasing a Sonos ARC and two Symphonisk rear speakers, I was very annoyed by the impossibility of easily activating or deactivating the rear speakers as needed.We're not going to lie to each other, but :Touch the gear icon Go to System Choose Sonos Arc group Then Audio Surround Toggle On or Off Surrounds optionis not really what i call ergonomic.But with the iOS Soro application, what was very painful on a daily use, now becomes super simple.Thanks to the integration of these functions in iOs Shortcuts app, I can finally activate or deactivate my rear speakers with a simple tap when watching a movie or listening music .I just think it’s a shame that it is an external developer who offers this solution when Sonos should have already allowed it.

It looks like the Sonos Beam is now supporting Dolby Digital Plus or EAC3 now. Can any else confirm?

I’ve seen a few questions here about how to stream MLB audio from the At Bat app to Sonos.  I recall that a few years ago there used to be an Air Play icon right in the app that you could use to easily stream to Sonos.  But that no longer exists in the MLB app.  So here is how you can do it in 2021.Open the app on your phone and start playing audio for a game Swipe up on your iPhone, this brings up the Control Center The Control Center should show a section that displays the currently playing audio From this section you will see an Air Play icon Click on Air Play and you should see your Sonos as an option (as long as it is a somewhat modern Sonos that supports Air Play) 

I have 2 Sonos One SL speakers in different rooms, and the latest Apple TV. I have not previously had AppleTV sound through the speakers. The other day I was trying to set up Siri control for the speakers, without success. I was also trying to set up leave and return home routines as well as an alarm with the speakers. I’m now seeing a few weird things happen, all with Airplay listed as the source in the Sonos app.  I’m now getting brief “now playing” banners come up over the Apple TV screensaver based on music set directly through the app (I think; it may have been the return home routine that set the music). I paused the music yesterday and it started playing on its own a few minutes later. No alarms are set around this time. The last 2 mornings since setting up the return home routine and a 4:45 AM alarm, I’ve had the music change shortly before 7 AM to the station set for the return home routine.  Last night my son turned on

I have a speaker in my shed that I set up to play and it may play a day or two and then it isn’t playing. So I’m wondering if Sonos shuts it down or is there a problem somewhere else like maybe my network.

HiJust checking to see if there are issues with reliabilityOver the years Ive built up a fair sonos system spending approx £2600 and then an additional £800+ on replacing faulty equipment.So the connect module fails once again this is the second time, the most annoying bit is its the least used of all the kit.So contact sonos and share my concern about yet again having to lay out money on a piece of kit hardly used and being replaced for third time.So I get an offer of 30% off, dont think so as I can get this already in trade up, then a 50%.After considering decided to decline and look at other manufacturers, its a shame as originally the sonos technology was great but then their disaster of a decision to stop supporting product, the failure of the connect and poor customer service was the final straw

I just bought a Sony A80J, and need some guidance with the audio settings. I’ve got the Beam connected through the ARC port. It works but I’m not sure if I’m using the optimal settings. I assume I should have eARC mode on. On digital audio out I’m not sure if I should use one of the two Auto settings or use PCM. I’m not sure if I should have Pass Through Mode on. Finally, Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus? Any guidance would be appreciated. 

It’s all there in the title. Did 13.2 do anything for this issue? We just got the “bug fixes and improvements” rhetoric and because it was a big number update (.x) instead of a .x.x update maybe their would be something substantial. 

I currently have an Arc with gen 3 sub and two one SL surrounds. The only way I can setup the  room is with the couch against the wall. I have the surrounds mounted and turned inward, but I don’t get the true surround feeling. I’ve seen that you can’t add more surrounds, but is there a work around with another speaker or two to put behind the couch to get the surround feeling? Ideally the speaker would be running the surround audio and not main audio.
