I’ve read so many threads asking for Jukebox mode so people can add to the queue but not have their song immediately play.Surely there could be a setting to toggle on or off the “play now” option in the app which would mean you could pass your controller around and people can add without the song instantly starting? Are there currently any plans to create a jukebox style mode - it would be good to know the official stance rather than looking at so many threads where the answer from Sonos is “we’ll think about it” and then nothing happens.Has anyone made an easy work around for this for their system so friends can add tracks to the queue?
Decent separate amp/speakers have departed to the party in the sky. Now looking for new option that will play music decently (with occasional party!) in a largish living room, but also keep kids happy with better TV sound. understand need beam for TV (no analogue connector on new LG tv), but do we go 2x1 and sub, or 2x5 instead. if looking for music for occasional party what would work best (old enough that don't need club level volume, but still like a bit of punch). ideally would have spent 1k, rather than 1.5 or more! Don't tell the kids, but music more important than perfect surround sound for TV. we mostly use Spotify.
I have Sonos Connect connected to Sherbourn amp that powers about 14 speakers in my house. Normally when I start music in Sonos app and stream music Sherbourn amp turns on music starts. This morning I turn on music in app, it shows bars indicating music but I don’t get music. The Sherbourn amp doesn’t automatically kick on. I tried turn amp on manually, nothing. Any thoughts?
I have an Arc with surrounds (play:1) in my Living Room, and a One in my open plan kitchen, grouped so I can I play TV sound in the kitchen when cooking etc. and want to mute the kitchen speaker at other times. I have a Harmony Elite remote, and my tv activities include the Living Room (arc+surrounds) and Kitchen speakers. I assign a button on the remote to ‘Mute’ the Kitchen speaker. But it Mutes the arc instead?I have deleted and recreated the activity several times. Then I realised that even in the Sonos app, the muting is not working as it should. It seems it only works If I use a Play:1 in the kitchen, but I’d like Alexa here. Any ideas?
I have always used the desktop app at home and my Music Library has always been linked to a single "Music" folder on an external hard drive. That music folder then has several artist sub-folders and each artist sub-folder then has their own album sub-folders which house the individual song files. I have used the desktop app in this way for years with virtually no problems-until this morning. Now only a couple albums in each artist folder are showing up and some artist folders aren't showing up at all. I've tried various things. Unlinking the "Music" folder entirely then re-linking it. Re-starting the computer. Disconnecting the hard drive then reconnecting it. Checking the app for updates. Nothing works to link the single "Music" folder correctly like in the past. Now, if I link a single artist folder all the albums show up correctly (mostly, more on that later). This works for artists who only had a couple albums show up, or artists who were no longer showing up at all. I could li
What settings do I need to set for the Hd Fury Arcana for the Beam (not gen 2)? I know I need to turn on the Beam setting on the Arcana. What else do I need to change on the settings if any? thankyou
I’m thinking about getting a NAD C700 but want to continue to use my Sonos wireless speaker system throughout my house rather thank a wired speaker or BlueOS wire speaker set-up. Can I run an RCA link from the NAD c700 Pre-Out to the Sonos Port In and be able to stream the music to my sonos wireless speakers? Thanks for the help.
Dear Sonos Community,I have a question related to the delay in “audio from the sub” menu setting in the Sonos iOS app with a Sonos AMP.At 1.04 (18:26) in the video. The “audio from the sub” menu option shows up. I don’t think this is working the way it should? I’m using this setting often to configure the sound and it is very annoying. Please check the video at 1.04:
hi All, When all my speakers are playing the same playlist, I may need to adjust the volume of the playback in one of the rooms. Noticed that when I use the physical control on the speaker to turn up or down the volume, the volume is modified on ALL speakers. This is frustrating, as in some rooms the volume is fine and does not need adjusting. Is there a way to adjust the volume on individual speakers without impacting speakers in other rooms when they all play from the same playlist? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Kenny
Seeing as this question was first asked 3 years ago, we still do not seem to have integration with Sonos and Google audio books...…Has there been any movement in this regard?
HiI have a system with Arc, Sub3 and two S5 as back speakers. After the latest update, I cannot get it to work together. It is plugged in a Samsung Q80 HDMI /ARC.The back speakers and the Sub dosnt give any sound, it is a very simple sound coming from the Arc.Shall I try to reset the system ?( I dont have many playlist ect in Sonos)Everything is wireless, and I cannot connect it with cables
Hello. I have a Sonos beam connected to my Sony xbr 55x900f. I am connected to the hdmi(arc), but when I go check the system status on the Sonos app, it always says that the audio is in stereo pcm…..the audio settings on my tv is set to Dolby digital, but the Sonos app always display stereo.…. I am just trying to get the optimum sound from my beam!! Thanks for helping me!!
I have the Beam & 2 Ones which I have set up as surround, they are all TV side of room, to add to side where we sit would you suggest a Five or another couple of One’s, want the sound rather than just the bass which sub provides
I just installed a Sonos surround sound system for my TV HDMI ARC output -- Beam, Sub, two One SL’s, all brand new, latest generations. The TV puts out the HDMI ARC signal from several sources (cable box, Roku Ultra, Blu-ray player), all fed to it through an HDMI switch. It all works perfectly.I want to add Bluetooth headphones for use when the speakers are otherwise silenced. If I install a Port, and feed the audio out to a Bluetooth transmitter, will the signal persist if the speakers are muted? Or is some other solution possible? If not, perhaps Port is not the answer, and then, what is?The TV has optical out but works only when the signal is from the cable box. I’ve researched this with Aluratek, the maker of Bluetooth transmitter/receivers, and determined with them that this, while unfortunate, is expected. And the TV has no aux out.Thank you.
great news bbc sounds preview is being added today and officially launched in january
For some reason I’m only showing Stereo PCM in the Sonos App on everything except for when I play something straight from my TV. For example, if I use the AppleTV or PS4 it is Stereo PCM. If I just play straight from an app on my smart TV it will be 5.1. I bought this TV in 2014 and the only streaming app it has is Netflix so haven’t been able to see if I can get Dolby Atmos out of it.Is it possible my TV can only receive stereo sound through the HDMI ports? Seems weird that I can get 5.1 out of the TV, but not if I use an external device. I’m not opposed to buying a new TV to fix the problem, but I just want to be sure that the TV is actually the problem before I do that.
Any hacks for connecting my Bluetooth turntable to my Sonos One?
so i just bought a 2021 samsung frame and added the arc to my set up. I have not installed the arc yet as it requires different wiring than playbar. I m reading everywhere that the arc does not play nicely with the Samsung frame from previous years, can any one comment? Has this issue been fixed
I have a Beam for my tv which I also connect other Sonos speakers to for surround sound. Every time I turn my tv off, and then back on, only the Beam stays connected. Is there a way to have all speakers connect when turning on the tv so I don’t need to sync every time? I’m just being lazy, but it would be nice. Thanks!
Moved into new place with the typical Bose (dumb) speakers in the ceiling...wires hanging out of wall in cabinet. I have 3 Sonos speakers working great now - but hate to see these existing built-in speakers go to waste. How can I use them as part of my system? Assume there’s some device I’d need to purchase, then hook up to the speaker wires? Info I’ve found online is a bit sketchy - so I will appreciate the specifics on how to make this happen. THANK YOU
I've had the Roam for a week and I’m generally happy with it. My only issue is the on/off button, its very stiff and unpleasant to use.I have to press it either really hard or multiple times to turn the device on, it's also very fiddly trying to activate bluetooth pairing mode. Is this a common issue or a product fault? I spoke to Sonos tech support and they seem unfamiliar with this issue and have recommended me to factory reset the device. I highly doubt this will fix the issue if its a physical fault.I’m tempted to return the device if this will be an ongoing issue and wait for the Roam V2.
I have a sonos beam and wish to connect it to a cd-player. Is this impossible or can I buy some sort of box that the cd-player can be connected with, which also connects to a sonos beam?
Hi. Just looking for a 35cm or 50cm white power lead for my Five's. Everything seems to refer to Play 5's. Are they the same ? Thank you.
I have just noticed the red LED above the white status LED comes on when volume is off. It goes off when volume is turned up. Why has it started and can I turn the LED off (I know I can turn the status LED off but it's above that)? Thanks.
I have seen a ton of articles coming out within the past day regarding a potential mini Sub. Just wanted to throw that out there for discussion. Good/bad idea? Pricing? Interested? Etc..?
