With the S2 rollout earlier this year, the Playbar was listed as a compatible product that supported Qobuz 24-bit playback. With the latest update, Amazon Music Ultra HD (24-bit) playback is not supported on the Playbar. Can anyone (maybe a Sonos rep) please confirm that the Playbar still supports Qobuz 24-bit playback?Much appreciated!
So is Sonos not doing their annual sale?
Upgraded to a couple of 5s for music playing and have apple music streaming. If I play through the Apple Music app it reads e.g., ‘Lossless’ under the track. If I play Apple Music directly from the S2 app, I cannot see what audio quality is playing anywhere. I’m sure it used to be available. Cheers
HiI have recently invested in an Arc, Sub, two 5’s & 2 one’s and looking to set up with the 2x 5’s and Arc forward facing under/next to LG C1 OLED TV and use the 2 ones as rears. The room is 7 x 5 mtrs and has 5m gable ceilings and I will be viewing TV from about 5 metres.I will also be using Apple play, PLEX via a MacMini and Sonos eco systems for audio/video.My question is have I over done it with the fives and the ARC simultaneously pushing out Dolby/Dolby Atmos?...or will they blow my windows out?...or it it not possible to achieve this setup? Thanks Scotty
I am looking to connect two third party bookshelf speakers to a Sonos Amp. Are there any recommendations for affordable but strong performing speakers that combine well with the Amp?
It seems so basic and obvious that a timer needed to be added to Night Mode. Baffled how this was overlooked. Frustrating that it’s not there. Please add it. It’s been YEARS now. Wtf.
Hi all , been using the Sonos S2 app for a couple off weeks now , not sure if there's a suggestion thread but perhaps the app UI could be made to look a big nicer / classy ?? Tbh it looks boring and compared to the Yamaha I've come from the Yamaha one looks way better , the colour theme for the room runs through the app , Yamaha one seems to be easier to navigate too Sonos app is just white or grey , needs to be made to look nicer to match the quality of their speakers etc , I've attached pictures so you can see .Top is Sonos , middle and bottom Yamaha .
Why does Sonos have such horrendously incompetent developers? That must be the case considering the constant plethora of issues I experience with multiple devices. There are too many to even mention. Does Sonos not make enough money that they can afford competent developers? Sonos must be the most unreliable and unstable app on my devices. Constantly losing connection to Spotify, constantly requiring login, constantly disconnecting, constantly losing the connected devices, constantly etc etc etc. Such a great product with such terrible coding. It's a shame but I won't be replacing them with more Sonos. I'll be finding something else for sure.
So i have seen the explanation about the Roam turning itself on but i don't understand the logic around why it turns on when the sonos app has NOT been opened or used. every time i go to use the speaker the battery is dead. I recently charged it and watched. No Use on any other device and no use of the app and still it turns on and stays on. This is a major flaw and has zero logic around it. has anyone been able to prevent this? leaving it plugged in all the time seems like a stupid solution.
I ordered an Arc and a Move. Awaiting their arrival! My question is how do I get my Roku Ultra to stream the Dolby Atmos TV sound to my Move? The Roku is connected via HDMI to an LG 70UK6190PUB flat screen. TIA for your wisdom and insight.
Hi guys! I am planning the audio setup in my new house which is under construction and I have some questions about the Sonos Amp. The room is an open space living/dining/kitchen area. This is my first personal encounter with Sonos products and their app.- I will have one Amp powering two in ceiling speakers at 45 degree (vaulted ceilings) as fronts, connected to the TV through HDMI Arc.- Another Amp with two In ceiling speakers as rear channels (45 degree, vaulted ceiling)- The Amp powering the front speakers will also be connected to a SVS SB-1000 pro.Other than this I will have two more Amps powering another four in ceiling speakers and one more SVS SB-1000 pro. This will be in the other half of the open area for music only and it will be set in “dual mono mode”.The question I have is if I will be able to set the two amps connected to the tv to “dual mono mode” when I play music through the whole system? Will they work as a dedicated 4.1 system when they are playing signals from the H
Has anyone experience the issue with the TV switching back to TV speakers on powering up of the TV.Connected the arc to HDMI (eARC) of the TV and have the appropriate settings. All is working great. Once I’m done watching TV for the day I turn only the power to the TV off. The next day when I turn the TV power back on, the sound only comes out of the TV speakers. Need to go to the TV setting to set the HDMI port again and physically remove and re-plug the HDMI cable to the arc for the sound to come back on. Samsung is indicating that it is an arc issue. Thanks
Dear All,I do have a Revox system, amplifier, tape recorde and venil player. Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to turn off the 3min idle mode on a Sonos One? I’ve checked the app but cant seem to find a setting.Every time the device goes into Idle Spotify needs to be connected back to the speaker.https://support.sonos.com/s/article/256?language=en_USThanks
Hey,Just want to confirm something:To get the full Dolby Atmos experience from the Arc, I need to have an e-arc input on my tv? I don’t- I only have an arc input. If that’s the case, I’m not going to upgrade from my Soundbar to an Arc nor upgrade my tv…yet.
My current configuration is a brand new Samsung QN65QN85AAFXZA with a Sonos Arc, 3rd Gen Sub and 2 Sonos Ones. All streaming services are through the latest Apple TV. The Arc is connected directly to the HDMI 3(eARC). Every streaming service experiences the same issue. A selected show/ movie or channel on Hulu live will begin and will produce no sound. Once I flip around and try to start/ stop another program (which also may have no sound) I can return to the original program we want to watch and half the time it will have the sound. If not, I can flip around again, return and hope to have sounds. This happens over 50% of the time we are trying to watch a program. Can anyone tell me why this sound issue is happening and what I can do to resolve this?
My setup includes:Sonos Beam gen2, Sonos Sub gen3, Sonos One SL pair (surround kit)BenQ tk700sti eARC supported 4K projectorOREI (uhd-402) matrix switch w/ ARC output portAmazon Fire Stick 4K max streaming device Hello community.I want to keep this simple. I would like to know how to correctly connect my components to generate sound from my Sonos Beam gen2. At this point, I’m not even worried about Dolby Atmos sound content, I just want to connect and receive sound from my new soundbar. Please let me know if there’s a workaround that I have missed so far. Thanks.
Haven’t used the Sonos app that much in the past but recently started to (macOS on a MacBook Pro with two external monitors (one vertical and one ultra wide) and iOS on iPad Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max).First, would be great if the app would adhere to current system dark/light mode (as the major of other apps do today). I.e. just switch depending on time of day (when the rest of the system switches to or from dark mode)Second, maybe Sonos should put som UI/UX people on the overall interface? Everything is in like 8-10pt font size… really? Looks like something from 2008. Just in general the UI needs an overhaul to be on par with todays design standards. Why do I have to have three columns in the desktop version? How about two columns, one, 1/3, with current and available speakers, in queue etc. Column two, 2/3, with entire list and maybe large album covers on top and big accessible controls. What’s with all this “tiny tiny”… Of course this is the DTP version, where there is a lot of unuse
I have had my Sonos for a few years, works very well with my 1 yr. old LG OLED TV. Model CX PUA. I use the optical audio , am sure it has HDMI eArc and Dolby Atmos. I would think I could leave the Gen 1’s and sub without upgrading the whole system? Thoughts? ThanksWTP
Hey everyone! I have a sonos arc and 3rd gen sub as well as 2 architectural in wall speakers as rears for my surround. Everything works together well when I use the apps on the TV (i.e. Disney+, youtubetv, etc) but when I plug my laptop in and try to watch a movie on HBO max, Prime, etc the audio is stereo 2.0 PCM and not dolby 5.1 or atmos even though the audio output is still ARC (sonos). Anyone else able to get this working from a mac? My setup: Sonos Arc and Sub paired with 2 sonos architectural in wall speakers for rear
Hello !Until recently, I could stream from any source on my iMac (Music app, Safari…) to my Sonos SL.I found it disappointing I couldn’t use the mac speakers at the same time (like it worked on Music app), but it worked. It’s been a few days I can’t connect from the Mac via the Audio menu, nor via preferences, so it doesn’t work with Safari. It works with Music app, though : so the mac can connect to the speaker (but now it disables the computer’s speakers…)Is there an easy way to fix this ?-I hard-rebooted the speaker-I restarted the computer-I connected via the Sonos app (but it only shows music services, not browsers) Thanks for any help !
HiAll of my Itunes playlists have stopped being available on Sonos - it just says ‘no selections are available’. I’ve not actually wanted to listen to a playlist for a while but they used to play with no problems. I’ve not changed any settings on either Sonos or Itunes, there have literally been no changes to either so does anyone have any idea how I can get them on Sonos again. I’ve removed my library and readded it, I’ve updated my library countless times but they just won’t show up?Any help would be much appreciated.
Spectrum cable company installs different cable box and my customers with Beam and Arc sound bars loose audio return channel. I Installed all new hdmi cables, reboot etc all troubleshooting steps no help. Speaker bar may connect for a while, turn TV off or next day we have no audio return channel connection with different Spectrum cable box. It might be Samsung cable box?
I have the Sonos move speaker and connect that to our turntable via bluetooth to play. Is there a soundbar i can also connect to our turntable via bluetooth? If not what other options are there. Thanks
