Cable box audio return channel GONE

Spectrum cable company installs different cable box and my customers with Beam and Arc sound bars loose audio return channel.


I Installed all new hdmi cables, reboot etc all troubleshooting steps no help. Speaker bar may connect for a while, turn TV off or next day we have no audio return channel connection with different Spectrum cable box. It might be Samsung cable box?

Sounds like something is stealing focus/control away from the Sonos HT device - try disabling CEC on the connected TV peripherals (if not required) or maybe add a cec-less adapter between the device and the TV:

Agreed. There have been plenty of cases of rogue CEC activity causing this kind of problem. Indeed I experienced similar myself with a badly behaved set-top box.
