Okay. I hope I can explain what is happening. I have a Sonos Beam Gen 2, a Sub Gen 3, and two ONE SL Surrounds. When watching a Dolby Atmos program (test), there is a punch sound that travels in a circle to demonstrate 360 sound. When the “punch” sound travels to the rear surrounds, the SUB drops out and the bass in the surrounds also drops out. So, I get the full 180 degree punch sound in the front while the rear is only firing the mid-range sound from the surrounds. The deep bass is washed out. I expected the Sub to continue firing the deep punch sound even if the rear surrounds are the only ones receiving the signal. For example, an explosion in the rear of you or someone hitting a big drum in the back. So, does Sonos assume only bass sounds can happen in front of you if that is where the sub is placed? Right now, if there is a bass player or explosion behind you, it’s empty because Sonos is only sending low frequency sounds to the sub when the BEAM is playing the sound. How can you
I have a Beam 2 with a sub and 2 surround speakers, but I can’t get Atmos to work from my Roku through my reasonably new Samsung 4K TV. I believe that the Netflix movie “6 Underground” provides Atmos. My TV recognizes that the Beam supports Atmos. But the movie is sent to the Beam as PCM (stereo).I am hooking up the Beam to the TV through the ARC port.Is there something special that I need to do to get it working?
I ordered home theater system on 01/04 and was supposed to ship on 01/14 but the status still shows as Backorder. Is this delay normal? The customer support don’t provide any other dates. Thanks!
Having read several threads where many people are disappointed that Roam cannot be used for surround speakers, how about a new product for all those people with relatively small rooms and no convenient power points? This would be a pair of Roams (RoamSurround) with cut-back features especially designed as rear surround speakers to suit Playbar, Arc etc. Packed in pairs with a special price point reflecting the simpler build, I am sure that it would sell well …The Roam is a fantastic speaker - put me down for the first prototype or pre-production model!I use Ones, Amp, Playbar, Connect:Amp - and of course my new favourite - Roam.
I have had Dark Mode working on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, but yesterday everything just turned light. The option to enable it in the App Settings menu has disappeared. I have restarted the app, deleted and re downloaded but it is still missing. It is still working fine on my M1 iPad Pro. Grrrrr it’s just reappeared when I was going to get a diagnostics report. once again …… grrrrrrrrr
I read on the internet that it is Bluetooth 4.2, but on the official website, it says that it is 5.0 ... which one is true? Has the Move had a hardware overhaul?
Hi friends, I can’t get the Dolby Atmos effect but not sure it is a hardware problem caused by Sonos or Apple TV 4K, or the software problem cased by the Infuse Pro 7 app on tvOS. So, just share my situations here to see if anyone else facing the same problems with me. The problems occurs in the Apple TV 4K audio is connected through HDMI eARC. (NO problem through AirPlay. And we know that Dolby Atmos can not play through AirPlay) If we turn off the Dolby Atmos in Apple TV 4K, the audio format change to Dolby Digital 5.1, everything i
So to be clear... if I have a sonos arc and sub in the living room, but have a sonos amp with speakers in the back yard, I can listen to them as a single group, or use separate? As in the arc playing a movie and out back playing spotify. Or watch a different TV source on each, while being able to do this all within the same app login? Hopefully I am making my point lol.
Most of the time when streaming use the dual Sonos 1’s with sub in the kitchen for casual listening. I do have a port too. Amazon dropped the price of HD and now just using “free” prime streaming. Would the gear I’m using be good enough to notice using lossless codecs? I know it must be listener dependent but perhaps the difference is stark enough. I could play a cd and port it to the Sonos, but others have undoubtedly done this. Appreciate any comments.
Recently bought amp and outdoor sonace speakers… Everything worked great for a few days and now only one speaker works. If I resent and hold down the pairing button the second speaker will work for a song or 2 and then shuts off . What could be going on?
Hi. I’ve had a Sonos Connect for about 4 years and have never managed to make it do what I bought it for, which is to play my hifi separates (turntable, CD player and cassette player) through the Sonos speakers - so I’m trying to crack this finally. I was told this would work when I bought this, but have never managed to make it work. Looking at web pages about this, everything focuses on enabling you to play streaming services accessed via the Sonos app, through the Connect onto hifi speakers, whereas what I want to do is the opposite way round. Things I read suggest this is possible but don’t ever explain how! So … is it possible to do this, and if so, can I connect them all into the Connect via my existing hifi amp (Yamaha A-S301)? When I try connecting everything, I can’t make anything happen. Part of the problem is I don’t understand how it helps to have the Sonos Connect listed as one of the parts of the overall Sonos system, since somehow what I need to happen is for the S
I chatted in to support two days ago after I added some channels as favorites in the SiriusXM app and I was unable to get those channels to show in the Sonos app. So I removed my SiriusXM account from Sonos and then logged back in to SiriusXM in the Sonos app. I still could not see the channels I had favorited. It wasn’t until support inquired about what channels I was looking for that I realized perhaps the Xtra channels weren’t gonna be available on Sonos. However, support told me that everyone of the Xtra channels I had favorited were showing as available. So I restarted my router and everything but by the time everything was back up I didn’t have time to log back into the chat support. And despite the reboot of my system I still have none of the channels I recently favorited including one channel that has a number so isn’t an Xtra channel at all (SoundCloud Radio on channel 508).I just found a support article saying Xtra channels are NOT supported via Sonos. So can someone tell me

I’m still new to Sonos. I can play music with no problem on my Roam, but how do I stop playing music other than shutting off the Roam?
Have TV setup with Denon AVR 3700 receiver which has Klipsch speakers also have Sonos setup though out rest of the house. Want to be able to play sound from TV setup to Sonos. Have a Sonos Port that is setup to play sound through Denon to Klipsch. Essentially trying to do the opposite. Play whatever receiver is pushing to Klipsch speakers to Sonos setup. Do I use the line-in ports on Sonos Port? Then which port on the back of Denon do I use. Speaker ports on the bottom left in white are all used.
I swapped out a Playbase with a Beam about a month ago. The Playbase has been wonderful for several years. Great sound, nicely tuned for TV usage. I would buy it again any day.I moved to a new house where the TV needs to go on the fireplace mantel, so I need something les than about 5 inches deep to fit the space.I thought a Beam would be perfect, and I expected the usual Sonos quality. I am deeply disappointed. The Beam has no midrange, which means dialog is especially bad.I have loudness off, I have EQ set to -10 bass, +10 treble. I tuned the room with Truplay. Truplay took the speaker from godawful to merely far beneath acceptable.I have checked the ARC connections, HDMI 2.2, Dolby, etc. I have been reading some other suggestions around these forums, but the reality is the Beam allows very little adjustment and also adjustment won't fix a bad speaker design.I don’t think the Beam is worth even $100 and it’s really not much of an upgrade compared to the poor quality speakers bu
Hello,I have a very bad ADSL line, no fiber, and therefore my internet is max 8MbI want to move to the High Fidelity music with Deezer (FLAC music), but my wifi won't be strong enough to do this on my Sonos system. Could a solution be to play the FLAC music using the Deezer app and transferring to Sonos via Airplay? Will my wifi still be needed or just my phone data (I have unlimited data)? Would this enables me to listen to FLAC despite my very slow wifi network?
So we run a bunch of ZP100s,ZP120s and a ZP80, plus a Play5, Playbar, Sub, and a plethora of Play1s and 3 CR100s.And up till now we have been walled off on 8.4 and quite happy. However about a year ago the stream from Spotify to devices stopped working. And last week my NAS drive failed (not a drive failure). Its done sterling service since 2004 and I’ll probably give it a good send off with a flag and all that.So now I can play the radio, and thats about it. All that tech and its just a wireless (with wires). There is a limited function Spotify option on the CR100 but its not great. For my daughter the loss of Spotify streaming was a deal breaker so I have reset her Play1 and upgraded it to S1, and Spotify ‘stream to device’ is back working. I have relinked Spotify on 8.4 several times to get it to work but no luck, so pretty much confirms that it is a feature loss for 8.4 rather than a config/network issue,NAS:My understanding from a catch up in the threads is that SMBv2/3 is likely t
Hi - really hoping to get some help with setting up a Port as I’ve hit a brick wall…I have an existing ‘Home Theatre’ setup that includes an Arc and 2 x One SL’s acting as rears - more than happy with this as sound quality is great and the wife can cope with the small footprint!A few months ago I decided to finally pursue a long held passion for vinyl so following some research purchased a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB and a Port - expensive option but I don’t really have the space for a Five and thought the Port would keep things tidy.I had assumed that I would be able to configure the Port to play the audio from the turntable (through the same two One SL’s) but for the life of me I cannot, despite many attempts and lots of internet research, workout how to connect the One SL’s to the Port. I’ve been able to get the Port setup okay and it appears under Products in the app but I cannot see any option to associate it with the One SL’s.Am I missing something obvious here or have I made an expensi
Now, Sonos has teamed up with Amazon to provide the proclaimed highest quality music for streaming. I am wondering do I need to subscribe to it to experience it, or I can just retain my YouTube subscription, which comes with YouTube music, to have the same experience.
I have a gen 1 beam connected to a 2015 vizio D50-D1 and Apple Tv 4k gen 1.My question is this ; the TV has 1 Arc port, 2 other standard HDMI ports, and an optical port. When connecting the beam to the arc port or the optical port i get dolby digital 5.1. Is their a benefit to using the arc over the optical in this scenario? With only 3 HDMI ports i am low on spaces for devices (xbox , switch etc). I will keep it on the arc if there is any benefit over optical in this scenario. Below are my settings. any feedback is welcome sonos theatre setup gen 1 beam with 2 rear ones apple tv settings:audio output: reciever speakersaudio format : autoaudio mode : auto music app settings:dolby atmos: automatic audio quality: lossless vizio settings :tv speakers offsurround sound on Digital audio out bitstream
Hi, my set up is the Panasonic UB820.... Hooked up to a Panasonic GZ950 OLED using an Audioquest Cinamnon 2.0 18gbps cable via the Arc port, NO eARC unfortunately on this 3 yr old TV. No surround speakers.Having the same problem as I've read on other threads whereby iv updated the Beam2 thinking thatl solve many of my 4K films DTS issues but no joy!Spent months building my collection unaware of this BIG ATMOS v DTS audio format rivalry/compatibility until I got the Beam 2 recently to complete my devices set up.PLEASE PLEASE can someone help me to get rid of the awful "Stereo PCM" on my S2 App. I'm at a loss and do not want to buy the Arcana Fury to solve everything! I think it's my TV or UB820 settings as I had to teak the TV to get the ATMOS audio some of my films are in and WOW what a difference it makes in s small room approx 3 X 3 metres. Many thanks Kam!
I’m streaming music through a Sonos Amp, wired to two JBL floor standing speakers and paired with a Sonos Move. The Move plays in the same room alongside the standing speakers. The Move is a nice ‘sound filler’ for the big speakers and can then be moved to another location such as outside, when required. When streaming music the floor speakers and Move are perfectly synchronised but when my Samsung TV is the source of input (via HDMI ARC, TV to Amp) the floor speakers and Move are slightly non synchronised, creating an ‘echo’ effect, or an exaggerated spatially separated sound. The Move appears to be fractionally delayed behind the floor speakers. The TV sound quality is poor unless I turn off the Move and take it out of the equation. How to explain and correct the de-synchronised audio when TV is the source?
