Which setting should I use for ps5 or Xbox is multi channel pcm the better of the audio formats or do I change it to compressed
I have set up an Amp with a set of tower speakers and sub to a secondary TV, and I am seeing Stereo PCM in the Sonos screen. Is this the correct audio output I should be receiving? Dolby Digital and DTS are greyed out on my TV, so all I am able to click is Auto. I am assuming that since I only have two speakers (plus sub), that stereo is correct? Or am I missing something that would allow DD?
deseo saber si sonos AMP ha tenido diferentes referencias con el paso de los años o si es única el modelo y referencia actual. Esto con el fin de no ir a comprar un producto obsoleto
Hello. I have a Sonos Arc, Sub and 2 ONE rears. I have no problem with surround sound coming from the rears using the TV (2.0, 5.1 or Atmos) and other devices eg mobile phone. However, when I play a DVD through my Sony 4k Blue ray player, I don't seem to pick up much sound through the rear speakers even when the DVD I'm playing says 5.1 surround etc. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
How do I make my ikea symfonisk a Bluetooth speaker? I was not successful hooking up to wifi While on holidays. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Brand new NAS drive, 3800 tracks, Sonos fails the initial update after about 10 minutes, saying the drive is no longer available. Except it is, to any other device on the network. Permissions are wide open. Not sure where to even start with this...
LG CX with latest update; Arc/Sub/Ones setup 14.0.4; and Apple TV 4k 15.3. All of these had recent updates. I now get no Dolby Atmos everything is MC PCM 7.1 not even with Apple Music anymore. I never was able to get any 5.1 Dolby versions. Any ideas what happened and how to fix? LG has pass through and eArc with Apple TV hdmi being bitstream and eArc hdmi 2 blanked out showing pcm with me unable to change. Apple TV settings haven’t changed but I am unsure if I am missing something there. also it is really soft, like everything. I have to turn up volume to 70/80% to hear anything.
I have a Sonos system which generally works well. Recent bad weather has resulted in several drops of mains power , sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for a few hours. The result is always the same. I have some radio sources permanently attached to each speaker - so for example the Sonos ONE in the ‘Dining Room’ has my favourite radio station permanently connected; the speaker is simply turned on and off via the top button on the speaker.I have several speakers in different rooms similarly setup in the same way. After a power outage the knowledge of which radio station connects to which speaker is lost and has to be setup again. While this is ok for me, being relatively familiar with the Sonos app I have to say that my wife - aged 80 - and with little technical skill in the system would, if left alone , be frankly unable to sort it out, rendering the system useless.Surely this product cannot be aimed purely at tech savvy youngsters. Surely it is not beyond the wit of man to create a
Has anyone noticed a metallic/tinny/robotic sound from their Beam since the recent update?
Is Sonos planning to give us the ability to stereo pair 2 Sonos Move’s via bluetooth? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!
Hi, I'm having an extension built and part of it will look very much like the below pic with a slanted ceiling, bifold doors and velux windows. I'm planning on getting a Sony A80J, Sonos Arc and Sub. I've read that the Arc should ideally placed in a room with a flat ceiling. Given my room, should I consider something else or will the Arc just not sound quite as good as it could? Appreciate any advice. Thanks, Barm.
Hi team , quick question , the Sonos hdmi cable I have for my beam 2 is too long , the beam sits in front of my TV and basically goes under the TV to the hdmi socket , is it possible to coil up the hdmi cable and secure it with a velcro cable tie Or can I use any other shorter hdmi cable ?? Thanks
Hi team, Can i pair a Arc or Beam Gen 2 with Play:3 surrounds and get Amazon Dolby Atmos music? From what i’ve read the Play:3s wont do Ultra HD but no mention of Dolby Atmos Music. Cheers
I hope an update is coming because I’m over going to use my roam and it’s dead. Out of the five times I’ve wanted to use it I have only been able to use it once. I have to leave it on the charger when not in use otherwise it will be dead when I go to use it. When it’s on the charger and it gets to 100% there is no way to turn it off. If I hold the power button for five seconds it turns off but within a few seconds it turns itself back on again. If they don’t say a fix is coming within a week sadly it’s going back.
I can hear the sound effects when playing Dolby Atmos music on Amazon Music Unlimited or on movies that support Dolby Atmos but that is only on the horizontal plane.I think that the 2 upward firing speakers only become operational when Dolby Atmos audio is being played? If true I can't seem to be able to hear the upward firing sound i.e. in the vertical plane no matter what level I set the Height Level bar from -10 to +10Anyone else experience this?By the way I can't use the Trueplay feature as I only have Android devices, a smartphone and tablet.Would this have anything to do with it?Cheers 🍻
I have my Sonos system with Spotify Password saved on it.I now would like to create, for my office separated from my house, another Sonos account using the same configuration, including Spotify. But I do not remember the Spotify pasword that I used.Is there any chance to get the saved password from Sonos Controller / App ?many thanks.
While watching a Viaplay serie today the Sonos Arc started to translate the spoken stream to russian with a small delay. Anyone else experienced this issue recently.
Hi all , the hdmi cable that comes with the beam gen 2 , is it an ethernet hdmi cable ?? The eArc hdmi input says it needs a hdmi cable with ethernet , thanks
Anyone else pissed that Sonos doesn’t include a power adapter w/ the roam? Before you tell me that everyone has a bunch of extra 10v adapters lying around the house, I’ll tell you that I don’t.
Hello,Love Sonos for 10+ years. The ability to set a schedule for night sound would be a big, simple improvement. It ends up getting left on accidentally. If anyone can influence that I would appreciate it! Thanks.
Hi.I have a Sonos system in my house use by all the family members (using both by App and by PC).I now would like to implement a second Sonos system in my working office, but I do not want that my family members can access the Sonos Office location. Is it possible? In other words, can I create a two separate system that only myself can manage both, whilst my family can continue to access only the house system?many thanks.
Good afternoon,I want to make sure i set up the sonos properly. Help would be appreciated.I want to set up 6 in ceiling speakers to be used for music (2 of which will be in the living room in the rear)My questions are as follows:Will I need more than one amp? Can i use optimal cable to connect these to amp or is RCA preferable? If so, which brand is best; I want to use the 2 in the living room for surround in the future- is it possible to do this? I want to be able to use it for surround when i want and for music with paired with the other speakers when i want to. How can i do this?Thank you so much!
I have a very basic, traditional surround setup in my basement. My Tv is wall mounted with a single HDMI out from the A/V receiver to the TV hidden in the walls so no wires exposed. My gear is all sitting in a cabinet beneath the TV. My back speakers no longer work and I’m unclear if it’s a wiring problem or because my old Denon amplifier is failing. Replacing wires is a non-starter, and if I have to replace the amp I’m thinking maybe I just go wireless. I have lots of Sonos speakers all around my house and they’re great, so I understand how Sonos works but I’m confused about what I would need to buy or if it will even work.Currently, I have 4 components (Cable, Apple TV, Western Digital Media Player, Wii) connected to my home theatre receiver and a universal remote that controls the receiver input to switch the audio and video on the TV. The amplifier is a Pioneer VSX-1019AH. TV is an LG NANO86UNA (55 inch) that supports Dolby ATMOS and eArc. Simple….Question is: how do I replace
Is it normal that a Play 5 gen1 speaker reach end of life in 5 years 2 months?
