Can you at least give us the ability to close the advertisement easily on an iPad, for crying out loud it easily took 20 attempts for me to close it. This is the second time I’ve seen the ad and had the same issue.
A word of caution: when I opened the iOS Sonos app 80.02.44 (updated 3 days ago) you’re immediately presented with new “Terms of Use” which you must Accept to use the app: PLEASE REVIEW SECTION 13, TITLED "DISPUTE RESOLUTION" CAREFULLY, AS IT SETS FORTH HOW THIS AGREEMENT IS SUBJECT TO BINDING ARBITRATION, AS WELL AS YOUR RIGHT TO OPT OUT OF SUCH PROVISION. IT IS IMPORTANT YOU READ THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT BEFORE PURCHASING, DOWNLOADING, REGISTERING AND/ OR OTHERWISE USING SONOS PRODUCTS AND/OR SERVICES. It seems all the talk of a class action suit have reached management. In section 13 (j):Right to opt-out of the Arbitration Agreement. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE BOUND BY THE “ARBITRATION AGREEMENT” AS SET FORTH IN THIS “DISPUTE RESOLUTION” SECTION 13, THEN: (1) you must notify Sonos in writing within thirty (30) days of the date that you purchased a single Sonos Product or otherwise become subject to this Arbitration Agreement (or any subsequent changes to the provisions of the secti
Hi there! Since a couple of weeks, there’s finally Lossless streaming from Apple Music. Hurray! The only problem: It’s not working on my older speakers (Playbar, Play:1, Play:3). Is there somewhere an official list of which speakers Apple Music Lossless is supported? Also: all Sonos players are capable of playing lossless audio. Why doesn’t it work on these older models? (Amazon and Tidal do play lossless on older hardware) I hope it gets added in the near future!
Sending Sonos output to an AVR is easy. What is next to impossible is the other direction!I used a Denon X1800H purchased in March 2024 which has Main Zone pre-outs and ZONE 2 Pre outs. Their capabilities differ markedly. Other builds of this exact Denon model do not come with pre outs. Odd but no mattter. Try Crutchfield. This solution will probably work for other Denon AVRs that have Pre outs for ZONE 2 –possibly other AVRS with slight changes as well. And it works for both digital and analog sources into the avr.Like many of us I wanted to free up the main zone/room’s audio to be heard over my SONOS system so I could play turntable, CDs or live stream concerts from the computer or TV to hear throughout the house, garage etc. Denon however, like so many other AVR brands, make this really difficult. It feels intentional for they expect you to buy Heos speakers --but we already have Sonos! After a month of research and experimentation, including working with Crutchfield, Sonos and Deno
Hi,I believe a Roam2 in sleep state (not fully powered off) should wake when the Sonos App is opened, but this is not happening for me.I’ve just bought the Roam2, so after the new app update.Looking at older posts regarding the original Roam, on the original app, the Roam would wake on opening the app. Also, people have referred to the old app indicating that the Roam is ‘offline’, with a red dot, when it is sleeping or powered off.Using the new app, I am not seeing this. The Roam2 disappears from the device list completely when sleeping or powered off and only reappears in the app when woken by physically pressing the power button or placing on charge. This is really inconvenient as I want to wake it up and send music to it while I am in a different area of the house. I don’t want to deactivate battery save because this would drain the battery far more quickly for the times I am not actively using the speaker.Any solutions or is this yet another problem with the new app vs the old one?
I’m having lost of problems with it. the conexion is bad with the system, it’s more xomplicated and the selection of the rooms always have problems. i have 11 speakers at home and I can not enjoy my system since the update
I made the critical mistake of accidentally upgrading to 80.0 FML 😡Am I missing something, what happened to the much celebrated eq shortcut which then had quick access to the speaker settings for things like sub levels? Where is then system information in setting to see what version I’m running and each speakers network info? The UI/UX is so terrible. What a massive step back in usability.
Reconnecting my amps after a new modem/router was installed at my house.
I am trying to switch my port fro fixed to variable output but the setting is no longer available in the iPhone or Windows apps! anyone else having this problem? How to fix?
They sound terrible, OMGMy $12 earbuds are way better !!!Did the cheese slide of SONOS cracker, or is there a problem between the phones and my phone!!! ( tried everything, no tech support , sending them back !!)
Not counting prior issues/problems/up-down grades to the apps/equipment in the past. How many hours of your personal time have you spent trying to play audio/music from your Sonos whole-home-wireless-audio system with the new app? 4hrs + and counting here...YOU?
Hi.I already have 2 Sonos Roam speakers and I am considering buying a Sonos One SL. But I’m unsure if a can play music simultaneously on the three speakers. As far as I can find on google the Sonos One SL does not have the multiroom function - but the Sonos One has it. Is that really true?
These are the two music services I utilized the most on Sonos and they are gone? Starting to to wonder if I shouldn’t look for an alternative to Sonos as between the loss of streaming services and the garbage new App I am starting to wonder why I bother with this system. I can just mirror everything from my iPad to my stereo and get rid of all the expensive Sonos products….
After I lost the use of my I-phone controller to this poorly engineered “upgrade,” it appears my Roam speaker will not connect unless I “upgrade” the controller. I can run the rest of my system without it. Will this new requirement as of a day ago cause me to lose what functionaity I have? I have been using TuneIn streaming. Am I at risk to Sonos-only that you folks can charge for?
I want to downgrade my play 3 to S1 but in the Sonos 1 app I end up with thank you and you can upgrade to S2 and in the S2 app I cannot find the option downgrade to S1 as I follow the instructions on the website. How can I downgrade?
In the new app, LivePhish now seems to be working pretty well (or no worse than other parts of the new app). I can mostly get playlists to work. But I noticed that when you play an album it isn’t showing the album name (which is really the date of the show). See screenshot.
I have a arc system with sub and two ones as rear speakers. When playing music from smart tv apps, such as Spotify and watching music videos, I don’t get the best sound quality, like I do when listening to music through the Sonos app. I have found out that the arc system has two modes. One for watching tv, and one for playing music. When listening to music through tv apps, It will only play in tv mode, and you don’t get that good music sound quality the system is capable of producing. So I wonder why Sonos don’t have a manual “switch” for this? I would love to have great music sound quality also when listening to tv apps and watching music videos.
Hi @Corry P / @Jamie A / @Sotiris C., so many issues with the new app and so many threads, that I don't know if this one has been discussed yet, so I would like to report it to be sure it’s on the backlog:I use Amazon Music and I listen mostly to their Stations. When I play a Station, the Station name doesn't appear on Now Playing, just Song and Artist names. In 16.1 and before it always appeared. Could you add it to the bug backlog, please? Thanks
Hi,I would like to know which generation of sub is it please?Note sure whether it's Gen 1, 2 or 3.Serial number starts with 1707xxxx (see pic) does it means it's been manufactured in July 2017?Many thanks in advance for your help. Moderator Note - Removed and recorded serial number
Aften updating to the new Sonos App, Lots of my favorits are gone or dosent work any more. I have had contact to helpdesk, but they couldn’t help. It’s still not possible to search for music! I have been very glad for my Sonos, but with no help and an App there doesn’t work. It’s still not possible to search across my music services. When are Sonos going to do something about it or fx. Roll this bad update back?
Like many, I found the removal of the alarm functionality with the new app roll out really annoying. I rang SONOS and the chap confirmed it was a miss, but sit tight as they would release a fix.Since then there’s been two new versions/updates released, including one yesterday. But neither fixed my alarms. We have the new app on several devices and none work - thankfully I’ve the old app on my i-pad that works beautifully. To be specific; I can SEE all existing alarms (that i set via the old ‘gold’ app), i can access each one and make changes - but when i tap ‘save’ nothing changes. It also lets me start to add a new alarm, all settings, time, etc - but again when I tap save, the new alarm doesn’t appear.System wise, I’ve c.20 components across six rooms.I can’t get a straight answer from SONOS - given the above, is this issue supposed to have been patched and if so, it’s a ‘me issue’ and I need to try and find a fix or is the patch still pending from SONOS and we should sit tight?Any he
I would like to purchase a Sonos Beam and would appreciate your response. My room has an elongated shape, the TV and bed are opposite each other on the long sides and at the same time not in the center of the room. That is, there is a little less than three meters between them. From the soundbar to one wall it will be less than a meter, and to the other it will be a little more than three meters. Since Beam has side firing speakers, wouldn't it turn out that the sound goes not to the side wall, but to the opposite one? Do you think it’s even possible to buy a soundbar with side firing speakers given this room configuration?
I want to use Sonos Headphones while everyone else listens to Arc and surrounds normally. I need to improve my speach recognition so the sound does not have to be too loud for everyone else.
I have recently purchased a pair of Sonos Ace. However, a couple of issues so far..The wear detection doesn’t seem to be working? It’s definitely turned on in the app. I’ve tried it on Spotify and Netflix yet the streaming still continues when I take the headphones off. Anyone else having issues? The noise cancellation/aware button on the headphones isn’t always responsive and you have to press it a few times before it acknowledges the change. Anyone having the same issues there too?Apart from those the headphone are fantastic and impressive sound quality and noise cancellation.
