My setup is the following. Xbox series x connected to tv (tcl c935). Sonos arc to earc on tv. 2 Era100 speakers as surround rear left nd right. My problem is, when choosing my sound output on tv to arc I get sound delay, most noticeable when playing fps. When I change my sound output on my tv to pass through the sound from my rear speakers chopps off the sound (silence for 3 ms) here and there. Can someone here explain why and what I should do to get rid of these annoying problems. Best regards
Hi, which of these is better for just music?Sub mini + Beam Gen2 + 2x Era 100 as surround rear speakers. Sub mini + Beam Gen2 + 2x Era 300 as surround rear speakers. 2x Era 300 as stereo pair. 2x Era 100 as stereo pair.At the moment I am using number one from the above list and I am happy with the spatial audio but wondering if option 3 would be as good or better or the same? Also have read that some say 2x Era 100 as a stereo pair is pretty good, but without the spatial audio effect of course.
I was just curious, as I am shopping, if the Era 300 is the latest and greatest, it seems weird that it is less expensive than the Five speaker. Is there a place to compare them? Is it just because the focus is on Spatial on the 300 where the Five is used better for straight up stereo?
hey,so one feature I would love to see is a way to mark songs as “favorite” and a subsequent favorite list of songs, a playlist with all my favorite songs for example.I am referring to all the services outside of Spotify eg Sonos Radio or any other radio station for that matter. Please make this a reality- right now I have to take a screenshot of the song and save it to a dedicated album - it’s a workaround but not a very pleasant one. Thanks!
Hey there.a while back, there had been an announcement for expanded sleep stations:Expanded sleep stations composed and mastered by Mikael Jorgensen of the Grammy Award-winning band Wilco will include Slow Motion Freeway, Waterfall at Dusk, Warm Glow and Midnight Beach (all HD only).I can‘t find them on Sonos Radio. Does anyone know what happened and if or when these stations will become available? Thanks! Hi Here is my current setup. Four Sonos Ceiling Speakers hard wired to an Sonos AMP. A Bluetooth receive Line-In to the Amp. Have my TV connecting to the Bluetooth Receive. From this, I am able to listen to the TV using the Ceiling Speaker. It’s somewhat surrounded. I frankly like it. The problem being the bluetooth connection is not stable. Plus, every-time, I have to manually connect TV to the Bluetooth receiver. The TV is far away from the AMP, connect through cable is just not happening. I’m looking for a better solution to wireless connect TV to the AMP. Would a Sonos sound bar, such as Arc or Beam help? I’ve read something like connect Beam with TV through HTMI and as long as Beam and Amp in the same WIfi, they can play together. Is that true? If so, is this gonna actually add more channels or just making it “sound louder”? What would be the ideal setup to create the best TV surround sound using the In-Ceiling speakers? Or are they just not meant for TV but for Music instead?
I understand Dolby ATMOS music from Apple Music can only be played on a pair of Era 300s through the Sonos2 app. Sending the signal from the Apple Music app on an iPhone to the Era 300s via AirPlay loses the ATMOS. On a Beam2 it can also be played directly through the Apple Music app provided it passes through an AppleTV that is connected with the Beam2 through a HDMI cable. Is that understanding correct? My other question is how this operates if the Beam2 and the Era 300s are grouped together. Will the ATMOS signal be passed from the Beam2 to the Era 300s? Or do the Era 300s receive their signal from the AppleTV through AirPlay (which I understand does not carry the ATMOS signal)? Thanks for your guidance, Ben
If I add a era speaker to my existing Sonos set up can I control the whole system via Bluetooth on the era speaker
Hi. I’ve got an offer to buy a Sonos Five (gen 1) pretty cheap. I’ve already got a Beam (gen 2) hooked up to my TV. My question is wether or not a Five (gen 1) will be able to connect to a Beam (gen 2)? I’ve only got music streaming and vinyl in mind as I’m expecting to buy a pair of Sonos Ones as satellites for the Beam eventually.Any advice is appreciated :)
It would be nice to have at some point. The codec has an option to change dialogue volume for TV Audio. (They transmit dialogue Audio separately)Sonos could be the first device manufacturer for TV equipment to implement support :)The 3D support is not important to me but could be useful as well.

I upgraded the living room Sonos ones to the era 100. It definitely much sounds better in that room. I was looking for more room filling sound and they just sound quite a bit better in a room that size. Music only with beam and sub. The entire room now sounds phenomenal. My living room always sounded a little bit thin even with full mode and upping the surrounds. Mid-range and bass both sound better. Got rid of my play 3s when they kept losing connection even with boost and tech support, and switched to the newer ones. The era 100s both sound better and really fills the whole room with music. Fives would not perform well at lower volume plus shared walls can't blast out my neighbor. I won't be upgrading the ones with beam and sub in my bedroom. So worth it for a bigger room.
Bonjour j'ai changé mon opérateur internet et depuis je n'arrive pas à connecter mon enceinte??? Comment faire ?merci
I know a lot of Era 300 users are requesting that the front-facing driver be activated on the Era 300 when used as a surround speaker. Although this would be a useful option, I think an even more important feature would be to offer separate surround level sliders for the side surround and rear surround channels.I’ve been testing my Arc + Sub + Era 300s setup pretty extensively for the last few weeks. The biggest issue I have with the Era 300s is the rear surround channel levels are much much lower than the side surround channels. This is particularly noticeable when listening to music in Dolby Atmos or 5.1. I have also confirmed this with a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos Test Tones video. If I had the ability to increase the rear surround channels to match the side surround channel levels, I think this would greatly improve the surround experience with the Era 300s and might even be a good alternative solution to enabling the front-facing driver.
I am setting up audio in my office mostly listen to Jazz in that space, it is a small room 120 sq feet. For about the same price I can put 2 era 300’s or 2 100’s with a submini. I was thinking the 100’s with the submini would free the 100’s to do what they do best and the submini will fill bottom end? I dont really like the way spatial audio sounds on a lot of tracks so that is less of a concern for me. Thoughts?
Wondering if anyone knows whether there are any plans to release a version 2 port (as Sonos have done with other products) with updated hardware. Or indeed if there are different hardware revisions anyway just not visible from the product name.
I currently have an arc,gen3 sub,and play 1’s as surrounds. I plan to move the play1’s to the bedroom for music and I had planned to buy the era 300 for surround replacement. After hearing that the front driver is not working when in surround mode I am thinking of bypassing on those speakers. Now I am thinking about the era 100 for surround speakers. I listen to music around 20% of the time with my current setup and it sounds good but with the 300’s I am reading that music doesn’t sound good unless you’re listening to atmos music. So I was thinking that if it doesn’t sound that good with regular stereo music then it might not sound good for movies that aren’t Dolby Atmos. In fact with non Dolby atmos movies two of the drivers wouldn’t be working (front and upfiring)? That’s why I was thinking I should buy a pair of era 100’s for surrounds. All the drivers would be activated 100% of the time. I realize I wouldn’t be enveloped in a spatial sound bubble when playing Dolby atmos material b
Having researched easy to use setups for my technology challenged parents, I think the Sonos “Immersive Set with Beam” (includes Beam Gen2, Sub Mini, Era 100 x2) might be the best solution for both watching TV & listening to music. However, I don’t have personal experience with Sonos components, so appreciate any help or insights you might share.I’m assuming setting up / configuring the audio for TV watching will be very simple using the Sonos app (I’ll do this for them). But I’m unsure about whether the configuration should (or can) change for listening to music (ie disabling the sound bar). Again, given that my parents are not tech savvy, any configuration / mode change (TV <-> Music) would need to be extremely simple…preferably using universal remote instead of Sonos app.CONFIGURATION (planned, haven’t purchased yet):Television HDMI Arc or eArc to power on/off and volume control the speakers. Prefer to avoid using A/V receiver, instead using TV’s HDMI Arc functionality.
Hi i have an MP3 file that i want to play as part of a soundscape in a room with Sonos on loop. The file has been specially created, and at the moment lives on my laptop. I would ideally love to play this through Sonos without my laptop.Any recommendations on this would be greatly appreciated. ThanksThomas
I have permitted access from both Sonos and WMP. That’s about the extent of my computer ability. Can someone dumb down what else I can try or what I am missing? Thanks!!
I have a Sony Bravia TV connected to my Beam. I recently moved and am now having issues with the sound. Before moving, if I switched from music, my Switch, or other item connected to tv, then back to my Roku, the sound was fine. Now, if I use any of those and go back to Roku, no sound comes from the Sonos, only the tv audio. I have unplugged both, waited, then connected each back several times. It works for a bit, then doesn’t want to work. Both tv and Sonos are updated on all software. Bravia Sync is turned on and I have tried going through the tv set up within the app, and it always says not connected. This is extremely frustrating and don’t know what else to do. I do not understand why it would work fine in one location then not work properly in another.
I am getting an Audio-Technica turntable as a gift and could use some guidance on how best to connect it to my current Sonos speakers. It will be this model, AT-LP3XBT which has line out capabilities.I currently own two Play:1 speakers. I gather I could buy a Port (or I guess a not-ancient Connect?) for the turntable to connect it to my Plays, but could I alternatively just get an Era 100 and use that to beef up my sound and also broadcast to the Plays? Or are the Plays so old that they need the Port no matter what to get connected?I won’t have any passive non-Sonos speakers in the mix so...it’s not much to work with otherwise. Thank you!

Hi All, I need your advice and help !! as I have recently received my new ERA 300’S to add to my Arc and Gen 3 Sub, The Spatial / Atmos music that comes out through the app ( Apple ) is outstanding and i love the clarity and depth of the music,However i now find after re-calibrating my speakers through the app that the movie sound coming out of the ARC is very tinney and not as good as it used to be, I’ve turned down the treble and it’s still not as i would like it,Do any of you have any recommendations for the settings ??
