My Sonos worked fine until I moved it to a different room. Now the app can’t find it despite at least a dozen attempts.my laptop and phone play through it wirelessly without a problem
Hi,I went through all possible FAQ but I still have the following issues:the app cannot detect the speaker; the app detect the speaker but when it tries to join the wifi, it says that it is impossible to connect to the wifi (even with the recommended configuration). Conclusion: I cannot add the speaker in the app. Seems that the speaker is working when I connect to the smart TV but cannot do anything in the app.Given the recent issues, should I just wait for an app update or do you have any advises?Thank you
I’ve been having trouble connecting my era’s 100, I’ve done all possible procedures, any body has a similar issue ??
Hi team I'm having trouble with my new Era 300. Unsure if it's user error, generation of products not getting along, or an issue with the app.I have a turntable connected to the Era 300 via line in. It plays audio from the Era 300 without issue.I have a separate speakers, in a different room, consisting of a Beam (gen 1) and 2 x symfonisks as surround ('living room') In the app, I am then attempting to share the sound with the living room speakers, by ticking the living room in the grouping option and selecting 'apply'. When I do this, the sound stops from the era 300 and is not shared with the living room. When I reopen the grouping option, the living room is Un-selected. This seems to repeat - as if the living room is rejecting the audio from the era 300.Really is a bummer, as I only bought the era 300 so I could share the turntable audio across rooms. Any ideas?
I’ve had two Sonos Play:1s for years, gradually adding a Beam and Port, a couple Play:3s. Have loved the system and worked through the various updates over the years. Recently, both Play:1 speakers stopped working at roughly the same time (not sure if literally stopped at same time or what…but discovered one stopped lighting up, and on checking the other realized it was also dead). Neither device will power up now (no light in the top). Are there steps we can take to revive? Unplugged both for a couple days but still no joy when we plug back in.
I did a diagnostic on my play1 .*********** and ************can you tell me what does the code mean?Moderator edit: Diagnostic numbers recorded and removed
Hey community doing a factory reset in Sonos one, it appears on screen to connect for a split second then disappears remaining disconnected. any thoughts on how to get around this? App is current. All other speakers connected no probs.
Hi I am having issues with my sub gen 3 that was working and now it won't even connect via ethernet cable. To be honest I have had so many issues with sonos that I'm seriously considering a different system but my house has a speaker in every room. I tried to speak tp somos help line and that turned out to be as helpful as petrol putting out a fire. Can anyone help? Thanks
I have owned multiple Sonos products for the past few years in different rooms solely for music - speakers + subs. Always loved the great sound and convenience of the music I want wherever in the house I am. Particularly liked kicking back with the wife and having chilled Saturday night listening to favourite tunes. However the new app has ruined everything. Try to listen and it plays in random rooms not the one I’m in despite careful selection of where I am. When a song does play I have no volume control, can’t stop, pause or play new songs. It’s uncontrollable which is contrary to everything this system should deliver. I’ve spent £000’s on this and not only is it now rubbish and not fit for purpose has negatively impacted my quality of life. Weekend nights with music are now frustrating fights with a system I genuinely can’t control. I want my money back. A letter from the CEO might be touchy feely but I want this sorted now. I paid for something I expected to work.
Hey there - Recently I noticed my playbar has a buzzing sound at a certain base frequency. Most of the time it sounds great, without issue - but when it does a low hum it almost sounds as though there’s a buzz/rattle sound, I can’t identify any loose item. I’m not sure what the issue is..
What is happening:Just unboxed my new Era 100 Installed the Sonos app for android The app finds the device, connects, and tries to update the device The update fails and the app provides no details at all, of what the problem could be The app is unusable because it forces me to update the device, I can’t do anything until the device is updated. What have I done? I have re-installed the Android app twice I have rebooted the Era 100 about five times I have rebooted my home Wi-Fi router (my phone, laptop, and iPad are all connected to the internet just fine so this was simply out of despair) I can see on my Wi-Fi router the Sonos is assigned an IPv4 and IPv6 address. I can ping the Sonos IP from my laptop I can open https://sonor-ip-here:1443/ and get a 403 forbidden response, so the Sonos is alive and connected to the network I am sitting at my desk. The Sonos is on my desk. My Wi-Fi router is on my desk. Everything is within 1 meter of everything else. I have run out of ideas. There sh
I have several pairs of Sonos speakers in my home.Since the update that was so poor a few months ago, one of my speaker pairs status lights keep turning on.I turn the setting off and they go off, but then a couple of days later, they are back on.I am not muting these speakers and I did not have this issue 3-4 months ago.If the lights are on and an update is rolled out, the status lights flash on and off for several minutes until the update completes and the status lights turn off, but some time later, they’re back on.Suggestions on trouble-shooting are appreciated.
How do I stop the audio dropping out Beam connected via hdmi
Hi!I’m using a Sony record player that I’m running through a line in source attached to an Era 100 speaker. I have another one in another room that I use to sync with it. I always want the record player to be priority source through the system and to play out of both speakers when I put a record on. Don’t want to have to faff with the app every time.I have enabled autoplay but I still frequently have to manually select the line in through the app to get it to work. Is there a way to make this line in device autoplay consistently?
Hello, I recently moved and I’m setting up my Play1 on a new wifi network. The app finds my device, chimes, and requests the password for my new wifi network. I enter the password but I get an “unable to connect” message. Retrying does not work. I’ve plugged the device directly into my router with an Ethernet cable which does work. I’ve enabled wifi in the Sonos app, but when I unplug the Ethernet cable and try to connect through wifi again, I’m hit with the same problem, “unable to connect”. Has anyone experienced this same issue? Thanks
I’m using Sonos for years in my house. Besides the app update which was a total joke of course, why do we have to set an alarm to just play radio all day? Why can’t we just let it play music from a set up time for a set up number or hours? And a if it disconnects it reconnects automatically again? Why all the hassle with the alarms? I have done EVERYTHING possible to let my Play:1’s and One SL have the very best connection possible. Wifi is turned off, all speakers are wired connected to my router (NO duplicate IP’s no) but it does not matter. The times the radio plays all day without stopping, in one year time, are possible to count on 2 hands. Play on all grouped rooms? Yeah right hahahaha. What a f****** joke that is. The software behind the Sonos equipment must be developed by some r****** on a lazy sunday afternoon. You cannot be serious about this being sold worldwide and not get bankrupt because people won’t buy your stuff anymore. The Sonos signal, I cannot hear it anymore witho
I have 15 speakers from Sonos all throughout my home. I am ready to light the whole house on fire and burn it all down because of Sonos app. For the love of God can someone please tell me how to make this group of speakers work together and play the music that I ever want or I am going to go to the corporate headquarters and personally hand them back to the president of the company. I should have spent the money on the speakers I really wanted instead of buying this crap actually I take it back. The speakers are decent app is a nightmare and makes this buying experience. The worst I have ever had. all I wanna do is play my music that’s it. That’s all I wanna do just play my music on the speakers. it is ridiculous that I’m in technology and I have to ask a forum how to connect my damn speakers.
Hi, I have installed the above setup within a large kitchen diner which is essentially one room. I have a Sonos Amp and 3 pairs of Sonos architectural speakers. I want the flexibility to turn off 2 pairs of speakers when just watching TV so installed them through an Audiflow 3S-3Z speaker switch. 3 Way Smart Speaker Switch | Audioflow I understand that the Sonos Amp can take 3 pairs of architectural speakers in parallel but the Audioflow speaker switch has impedance matching so when I have all 3 speakers on, it is putting speaker pair A in parallel with Pair B&C in Series). This is resulting in the volume of Speaker pair C been significantly quieter than Pair A. (This volume difference is so noticeable that standing under speaker pair C which is over 10M from Pair A, I am still hearing more vocals from Pair A!) This would not be too much of a problem if Speaker set C was in a different room but in the same room its so bad that its pointless having the third pair of speakers!. For c
Both my Sonos speakers are periodically losing connection with the wi fi network - sound disappears, the app says not connected, it reconnects as soon as try.very frustrating and renders the whole system useless!
I have a bluetooth turntable (Sony PS-LX310BT) connected to an Era 100. Everything was working fine and easily until yesterday when there was no sound coming out of the speaker while connected. The speaker still connects as soon as the turntable is on. I’ve reset the speaker. The turntable connects and plays audio with a different speaker connected and my Era 100 plays when connected through my phone and computer, just not sure what’s happening now when the turntable and speaker are connected. They were working together as recently as two days ago.
Simple queue management (adding a song, changing the order, etc) is targeted for "September/October", but seems like such a core function, and at first blush seems like an easy thing to code. Does anyone have an idea why this is one that takes so long to re-engineer? Is the change to store and manage queues on the cloud rather than locally? If so, that seems like an accident waiting to happen, especially for local library users. I was lucky to learn about how dysfunctional the new app was before I updated, so this will be helpful to understand prior to making any changes. Any insight is appreciated.
I have a SONOS Beam purchased in 2020.I’m trying to downgrade it to S1, to see if I can use it until SONOS repairs the current issues.I’m using an older Android app: SONOS S1 Controller, version 11.4I’m trying to apply these instructions: https://support.sonos.com/en/article/downgrade-a-sonos-product-to-s1reset is DONE. LED is flashing green. Now I’m stuck. No matter which approach I try, there’s no way for me to do any of these“ When asked to Set up or Join a system, select More options at the bottom of the screen. ” I don’t have any “More options” “ If you are prompted to add the Sonos product that you've just reset, dismiss the pop-up. There’s no pop-up to dismiss. Can anybody please help me figure out what I can do, or what I did wrong ? UPDATE: tried again with a different apk, steps like suggested here:I go to “More Options” I select "Downgrade Product to S1” it finds the product, I log in then it checks if the app is up to date, and forces me to update it. at this moment, no w
It appears the edit queue feature is no longer there on the new app, I've checked on my Android, and my wife's iPhone and it's missing there.
Hello,I want to setup 8 Era100 in a very large hall where wifi connectivity isn’t the best.We want to setup the system wired using ethernet cable with Sonos Combo Adapter. How can I set up this wired multiple speaker setup? Do I connect all 8 ethernet cable from each speaker in to single wifi router? If the wifi router doesn’t have 8 empty ports do I use a hub or a switch in between the speakers and the router?Would Sonos Port or the Sonos Amp help with the setup. Thank You for your help. Best,David Jun
I find it outrageous that Sonos obliges you to give your precise location to manipulate the settings in the system. This is a clear violation of my privacy. And for the people who say well just change hardware, I have invested heavily in sonos, to do this would cost me thousands. Also for the people who say this is use how it is, get used to it, no, we need to stand up to this kind of behaviour. Sonos if you are listening, please change this. This is unacceptable.
