Ikea Symfonisk update never ends

My cousin gave me an unopened Ikea Symfonisk which was bought around 2 years ago. I tried to add it into my app but it says that Symfonisk needs to be updated. So i started the updating around 10 days ago and the update circle is still not completed. Everytime i click on the circle, it says “it will only take several minutes”. Does anyone have similar situation and how could i speed up the update?

Many thanks!

After this amount of time, it has failed.

Reboot router

When router back up, i would reboot it, and reset it and try an ethernet cable into router, then follow sonos online instructions for ethernet setup

Also, I had to turn one of my Symfonisk lamps off at the wall and then back on again after a few secs to get it to update properly and be recognised on the system. After turning it back on, I just left it and about 3-4 mins later things were working…

Yeah i had similar as well with 2 x play1’s, leaving it longer than you would expect before panicking rebooting is a good idea as well.

Thank you all, yes i tried reboot everything and plus a cable. Finally the update is completed!!!!

But now seems the app could not found the speaker if i remove the ethernet cable! So now i keep it near the router with the cable.
