I am trying to connect a Play:1.  It connects to the system but says it is not registered and the ‘Fix It’ button does not work.  I have tried rebooting and reconnecting several times.  

I have also tried connecting the speaker via an ethernet cable, but when I do that the system does not find it.

In a prior era we were encouraged to post diagnostic numbers here, this is now discouraged. Prior it was arduous for support to associate a diagnostic to a post here. Now, it’s easy and the numbers are considered to lead to some sort of security issue.

With regard to your issue, force close and restart the controller.
