What does it mean “ connection has timed out” ? Why and what does this mean?
I have an a playbar connected to a (Sony TV) that also has an Apple TV box. There are also 2 connect amp’s and a roam in the house. Just recieved a HomePod as a gift. Is it possible & if so how can I connect the HomePod to the Sonos system? Thanks for any answers especially those that are not super technical.
Music cuts out for 5-10 seconds then resumes. Not a wifi problem. My speeds are excellent. Any suggestions?
I’ve tried and tried. Changed my network and my bar, sub and one Sl connected easily. My second One SL goes thru the recess but then doesn’t send the ping tone out to connect to my device … stalls the connections ive unplugged it multiplie times and let it rest to hopefully reset doesn’t help i cant find anything in the doc about this. any ideas?
I just saw Sonos products on the Season 1, Episode 7 of the Paramount Network series LandMan staring Billy Bob Thornton. The Sonos products shown were Sonos One, Beam and Move 2; supposedly being sold in a Michaels Arts and Crafts store similar to the one in the previous link. However, searching the Michaels website no Sonos products were listed. So was it Sonos who paid for a spot or did the show runner or prop manger for the series (who may be a Sonos user) stage the products in the Michaels store for effect. Either way Sonos gets national exposure. Then it could be a test (initialed by Sonos) to see how sales might be impacted just by flash advertising given the rumors of a Sonos streaming stick/box.The link below has info on the Paramount series LandMan if you are interested:https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14186672/?ref_=ext_shr_lnkNOTE: I forgot to change the post type to Conversation as it’s not a Question.
Cannot connect Beam for normal use - not TV - together with Sonos One. Beam not connected with TV - pt only use with Sonos One or alone via Sonos App. How??
Trying to AirPlay music from iTunes on Windows to ERA 300 and it looks like it is connecting and playing but there is no sound.
Have had my Sonos Ray for 12 months ~ 5 months ago the app stopped working and product (deapite hours and hours) of messing around cant be added even with factory resets etc. Have spoken to Sonos twice and been cut off twice mod way through help. There ring back doesn’t work…. Its all so so rubbish. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated
I’ve had a Sonos One set up in my kitchen for a good few years and it’s always worked fine when I play Spotify tracks via my phone. But recently, when I play a track, an entire channel / audio pan is missing (e.g., I play a rock song that sounds fine on my phone - guitars, bass and drums, but when I play through the Sonos, the guitars are completely missing - it’s just bass and drums).I’ve tried resetting, changing the EQ settings in the app, etc., but nothing works.Any ideas?
Comment connecter des produits Sonos de plus de 10 ans ?
I own the Sonos Era 100 and have also bought a USB C jack plug “ not from Sonos” and I don't get any sound or Line In is displayed in the app. Does the Sonos Era 100 only work with the original USB adapter? wanted to connect my karaoke bar to the Sonos Era 100
Hello. Until recently, I only had a 5GHz wifi and was not activating/using at all the 2.4GHz band in the house for anything (my Sonos Ones and Era are on 5GHz)I acquired a Sonos Ray recently, and this product only connects to 2.4GHz wifi, so I created a new separated SSID on this band just for that. However as I had to add this network in the Sonos app, now all my other speakers decided to use this 2.4GHz band as well.Is there no way to choose which network each product should use ?
I have a connectivity issue that traces to the motherboard. Power supply is functional. Is there a way to buy a replacement motherboard?
It is clear from searching Airplay on this support page and Google that something has happened to multiple users to stop Airplay from working seamlessly with Sonos products. I play music to my Sonos Era 100s and 300 once or twice per month via airplay but tonight it is not working. I tried resetting all devices per other posts and factory resetting etc…. Best case scenario it will play a song for like three 3 minutes and then drop and not play further until I reset everything again. This used to be seamless. I dont have further time to troubleshoot this but somebody either at Apple or Sonos has dropped the ball here. If its Sonos please fix asap. If I cant get this stuff to work next time I need to play music I am just going to ditch all my Sonos products and switch to Bose which is shame because I thought the Sonos sounded better than Bose. But Sonos is useless if the Airplay wont work. Reddit has some threads on this too - here is onehttps://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/1g
I have two era 100s as a stereo pair in one room and they sound really great. I’m wondering if I just get the same in another room or get two era 300s? Is sound quality going to be loads better or just a bit. I appreciate it could be subjective but also the price difference is a factor. For various reasons I have access to Amazon Music HD, Tidal and Spotify so will that impact the decision? Thanks in advance.
Can someone explain why one my system displaying horns can sound like (muffled) blown speakers are blown on various speaker types: beam and brand new 300’s?
Merci.
Haven’t used my extra Sonos one speaker in a while and now find that I no longer have TV as a source on my app? What gives? This new app really stinks!

I have recently bought a new Play 5 Gen 2 and was going to sell my Gen 1 on Ebay as it would be a shame for it to go to waste. However, I am struggling to get it to connect to the V1 Controller either via Wifi or via an Ethernet Cable. I have tried my phone and MacBook. The Play 5 Gen 1 just gives the usual “Cannot find any products” so I cant be sure its working properly. When I connected the Gen 2 it connected first time with no issues albeit thats on the newer controller version, etc.Any suggestions welcome as to how I can get the Play 5 Gen 1 connected just to make sure its working ok before I put it up for sale. Thanks
Hi - have lots of existing Sonos kit bought 2012 - 2015. Have been managing to use with S1 controller, but about to modernise a little by purchasing a couple of Era100’s (the Bluetooth and LineIn features appeal).According to the Sonos support page, I should be able to use the Era100’s and the newer Sonos app with my Play:1, Play:3 and Boost kit (as they say these support both newer Sonos app and the S1 app). Are they correct?Incidentally, I have always relied on the SonosNet for connectivity (first with Bridge, then with Boost) and connectivity has been excellent, no dropouts. The website says that the Era100 can only either use cabled Ethernet or domestic WiFi - how would this play with the rest of the (older) Sonos kit using SonosNet via the Boost? Or does having the Era100 in this setup mean that SonosNet is a no-no, and everything would be reliant on domestic WiFi?Thanks.
I go through the app and the setup works but when I open my system it keeps giving me an error that the sub is not connected. I’ve tried the hard reset and everything and no dice.
Hi everyone,I recently changed my home Wi-Fi router, and ever since, my Sonos system won’t connect. I’ve tried resetting the router and reconnecting through the Sonos app, but it keeps saying it can’t find the system. I’ve also ensured my phone is on the same network.Does anyone know the best way to get the speakers to reconnect? Should I factory reset them or is there a simpler fix? Thanks in advance for any tips!
I have had the beam for several years. There has been issues with the app connecting in the past but it fixes it self and reconnects. This time it is not reconnected. Everything thing in my home is connected as usual except my speaker that was perfect and working until I woke up. All of a sudden the app does not show my speaker or function to adjust settings. I have tried everything ever forum every trouble shooting technique. Still not connecting . It set up as new speaker after factory reset and it completed the entire process and still does not show on the app like it normally does. Disappointing.
I’ve recently upgraded my WiFi using a Deco mesh system and so I want to try using my system without SonosNet and use it with some speakers wired and some on my WiFi. I understand the way to do this is to disable WiFi on each of the wired units. Using the app on iPhone I select “Disable WiFi”, get the message that it may take some time and then either a “Something Went Wrong” pop up or it does seem to complete the switch off. But either way it stays with WiFi enabled. Is this just me or is there a wider issue with disabling WiFi?And am I wasting my time anyway trying this experiment? My system overall works OK but at times the app is seriously laggy when trying to select music or change volume, I was curious if ditching sonosnet would make things more responsive? Cheers System is2 x Ports wired3 x Play 1 wired2 x Play 1 Not wired.
