Have just bough Beam 2 have read about adding subwoofers etc. I have a spare pare of Ruark M2 speakers I originally used on a desktop & then on a TV but would like to add them to the Beam 2 if possible. I dont particularly want surround sound, just more accptable for playing music. I have seen how to add Sonos speakers but dont want to buy any more speakers & would prefer to make use of these as I like their sound. Could I add them as rear speakers & if so, how would I add them please. I am a novice so not entirely sure how to do this. Thanks
I have 2 stereo pairs of speakers in the bedroom. Is it possible to name one set Bedroom Bookshelf and one Bedroom Lamp? At the Moment where I go to airplay I see Bedroom and Bedroom, making it a pain to pick the speaker I want to use. Thanks
I have the sonos play one. I’m currently using the sonos 1 app, I’ve been told different answers about my compatibility to upgrade to the sonos 2 app. Has anyone here upgraded their sonos play one to the new sonos 2 app??? Is it compatible????
I couldn’t see any of the replies, asking question again. So I have the Sonos play one. Can I use the new sonos 2 app or not. I get different answers. Can someone please clarify please. Right now I’m obviously using the sonos 1 app.
Hi, so I have my spotify acount, when playing a song and pressing the “select a device” button, it just says “connecting” for eternity.Sonos is says the speakers and phone are connected, but plays a random playlist instead of the one I want, complete with adverts that I can pause and play but not change. I would never willingly listen to The Venga Boys. The wife’s plays no problem.
Hi, I’m new to this community. Hoping someone can help me. My Beam and One SL speakers are broadcasting a SSID publicly as an open Wi-Fi network. SSID looks something like this to “SONOS-AxEINDUYIndk+ltN=”. Currently two SSIDs are showing each begins with SONOS- and ends with = character. How can I disable these SSIDs from being broadcast as I am concerned about security.NB: My products are connected to my network via WiFi.
I have had a Sonos system for several years consisting of 2 Sonos One’s, 2 Play Five’s, Sonos Move, Play Bar and a Sub. These have worked flawlessly when grouped together, all connected wirelessly. I have recently moved house but set up my system differently, splitting them and creating more rooms. The system now struggles to connect them all together, music keeps dropping from them randomly then it will chuck random units out of the group, all while struggling to decide what to play from my Deezer playlist, it can keep skipping tracks. It tends to sort itself out after a while playing the playlist but doesn’t like connecting the multiple rooms. My Wi-Fi signal is stronger in my new home. I get good signal in every room which I could not in my last house. Has anyone got any answers for me please?
So since the 15.1 update I had issues with speakers disconnecting randomly. Sometimes it takes several tries to re-add them. Now when I finally managed to re-add them and they are showing up in my app, I'm trying to re-do the trueplay since it was lost on the disconnection (for like the 4th time). But now suddenly I cant even do that. In the middle of walking around in the room I constantly just get "lost speaker" even though I still see them in my app. After the 7th try (after rebooting speakers/router) I gave up and came here to complain. I have the Arc and Sub v3.
I am having same issue as this Creating this new one to bring more awareness and escalate Appreciate response if anyone found fix for this issue. Currently my sub mini has stopped working.
I have a Gen 1 Play:5, been working great on the S1 Sonos App. I also have several other Sonos products on the Sonos App, two seperate systems.I need to re-add the Play:5 to multiple iPhones and iPads. I have successfully factory reset the Play:5 and added to one iPhone, BUT, when I attempt to add it to other iPhone and iPad devices the S1 Sonos App cannot find the Play:5. It continues to find the other Sonos devices and wants to connect to those.Any tricks I have missed in getting the Play:5 added to my other iPhones and iPads. Again, I have the Play:5 successfully added to one iPhone, just cannot get S1 Sonos App on the other devices to find the Play:5.Oh, let me add that I’m on a Unify network. I know there are quirks with Sonos and Unify, or at least there were...
Hello,How come after so long time, the airplay issue was not solved. It is a main functionality. Already reported some months ago. Basically, if you stream from an airplay device using realitimeaudio, not buffered, after some time no audio is playing. Try using plex or vlc on apple tv, or stream audio from a macbook to sonos.Do you guys have this issue?BTW, youtube or apple music is buffered audio, so no problems here.
hi all i cannot connect wirelesly anymore on my sonos play 5, it works fine wired into router but is across the other side of living room so no good, i believe i have tried everything!
Hi All,The SUB in my Arc+LS+RS+Sub setup says it’s connected but I am no longer getting any sound out of it despite restarting the router and Sonos system several times, as suggested in a similar post. You can see from the screenshots it is connected; you can see the status of Atmos sound hitting the Arc; you can even see that I have turned the sub volume up to max! Nothing! I have the volume limiter set to 50% but not sure why that would affected the sub. Please help!
My Sonos Playbar has a virus. The router I use is picking up fedapush spam traffic coming from that device. (See attachment.)I have tried to do a factory reset (holding play/pause/mute) while connecting the cable. This reset the settings for the device’s connection to the network, but did not stop the spam. How can I do a full reset of my device? Or is there another way to remove this virus?
Have four ports. Three ports suddenly indicate disconnected, and one port indicates connected. Sound only comes from the port which says connected. I have not physically touched any of the four ports.
I bought some ONE SL speakers ymw would like to connect it to the laptop and I can't and I bought the cables and still I have been able to, I don't know if I have to download some program or if the wrong cable, and use my laptop and use the speakers, someone can help me, I would appreciate it.
Hi. I have a beam, two speakers and a sub. Whenever I watch a TV programme or You Tube there is a popping noise coming from the speakers. It doesn’t happen when watching in Dolby. Any ideas how to fix this issue?
Hi all. My Sonos app is telling me I am unable to connect to my system but sound is coming out my beam and Sonos one surrounds. Do I need to go through the “fix it? I have not reset or touched my router lately? Thanks.
I just got a new Mesh wi-fi system and my Sonos APPS stopped working (speakers work just fine with voice commands). My laptop and phone tells me that these devices are on a different network than the hardware. Odd, as there’s only one network. The on-screen prompt fixes are no help at all. It just gets to a point where it fails and gives me no recourse. What else can I try?I have four Sonos ones and a bridge. TP-Link - Deco AX4300 Pro Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Wi-Fi System (3-Pack) - White. The devices play music and take commands just fine.
My total system consist of a Five in a bedroom, an Arc sound bar and sub in the living room, a One SL in the kitchen, and a One SL in the office. Both the One SLs will not stay connected. It’s not a signal strength issue because I’ve tried moving the One SLs to the same room as the main router and they still don’t resolve. This is very frustrating to say the least. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! 🍻
My Sonos App is asking me to add a SONOS One SL but I don’t own that product. Anyone have an explaination?
Is it possible to play a sonos one at the same time as an Arc? Or do I need another speaker to act as a pair?
I moved to a new house and after many painful repetitive attempts I was able to connect my play bar, play3 , Roam , and sonos one speakers. However , if i attempt to group any of the speakers the system drops connections to the speakers. I then have to uninstall app, unplug speakers, reboot router, and go through the same process again to get speakers connected. if i play them individually there is no problem. it just fries when i try to have two speakers grouped together. I would appreciate any suggestions. And by the way, I hate Sonos.
I just got the new Sonos update today and just like every other time - what should be a simple 3 minute download - has become a nightmare of rebooting and re adding every speaker in the house. With each update my speakers will error out on the update download and disappear off of my system. I never had issues like this with my previous Bose system. It is starting to become a bit maddening at the rate that updates are sent out. People suggest not updating but shouldn’t an update just work without causing havoc each time with your system? The constant Sonos response of rebooting and re adding everything isn’t a solution to the root of the problem. For reference I have the home theater set up with beam gen 2, sub mini and two one sl speakers, sonos move and then other Sonos one SL speakers in other rooms. Any suggestions other than reboot and don’t download updates would be helpful.
I am about to throw my sonos one devices out the window. If i connect a device using Ethernet it appears in the app, as soon as i remove the cable it disappears. It can detect all my devices but will not connect them, saying it cannot see my wifi network. I cant even see anywhere on the app to change the network or passwords. HELP, its driving me crazy
