I have 2 ‘five’s setup in stereo, will a sub really make that much of a difference?
I have an android (15) phone. I had a system set up at the old house with no issues. We just moved, and when I attempt to set up with the new network, I keep being told I need to update the app. But when I go to the play store, there isn’t a new version, and doesn’t appear to be anywhere I can update anything at all (only the options to open or uninstall, I already uninstalled and reinstalled). Can I fix this, or is my investment up in smoke?
How to hook my subwoofer up to my Ray
My SONOS MOVE just randomnly started to malfunction. It turns itself ON at any time. After tunring it off, in less than 10 minutes it will be on again. It was working just fine, I’ve had it for a couple of years now, but suddenly it started with this thing… Happens on bluetooth and over wifi. I was recommended to turn it into “deep sleep” which is simply ridiculous, as I use it regularly. As I said, it never did this before.I have a support case #***********I’ve done several diagnosis (#**********)Please help! Moderator Note: Recorded and removed case number and diagnostic number. I recently upgraded to the new iPhone 17 and updated to the iOS 26 public/stable release. Tried both on ios 26.0.0 and 26.0.1I am running the latest version of the Sonos app. When I try to perform Trueplay tuning, I receive the following message after the animation: "Trueplay is not compatible with your device."My previous iPhone worked perfectly fine for Trueplay tuning just before I upgraded. My System Details: Mobile Device: iPhone 17 (Non-Pro/Max) iOS Version: 26.0.1 (Stable release, NOT Beta) Sonos App Version: 80.29.4 Sonos Product Being Tuned: Beam gen 2 Has anyone else with the new iPhone 17 or who recently updated to the official iOS 26 encountered this message? Is this the typical delay while Sonos calibrates the new iPhone's microphone profile, or is there a known bug/fix I might have missed?Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Anyway to use one Sonos amp to play different music in separate rooms at the same time?
Any chance to repair it by SONOS ?Before you start to blame my network (like I’ve seen this mostly on this forum) check this : any chance to write a firmware in normal way or should I get rid of sonos and buy something which works …?
HelloI use my Beam 2 and my Era 300 (a second Era 300 is planned soon) to listen to music and watch TV. However, I use them differently depending on the situation: to listen to TV, I use the system with 75% on the Beam and 25% on the Era 300. Whereas to listen to music, it's more like 55% on the Beam and 45% on the Era.Can we create profiles for this? Thanks
I have two SONOS ERA 100 speakers connected via Wi-Fi, but the connection is disrupted, possibly due to the speakers being far apart. (about 10m)My question is, if I connect one speaker wirelessly and the other with an audio cable, will it be possible to synchronize the two?
I have recently changed 2 Sonos 3 speakers to Era 300 speakers to be used for line in to play vinyl.i had no issues with the Sonos 3’s but wanted an upgrade.since I’ve changed speakers when I play vinyl the sound is terrible and distorted.play Spotify or apple music and the Sonos fantastic.I have followed the advice from two different Sonos technicians over the phone and have rebooted the system and changed the RCA cables from my port to my mixer.i have two Techniks 1200 turntables and a mixer and a port.Have checked all cables and WiFi etc and tried changing level port settings but all to no avail 🤯any advice whatsoever would be greatly appreciated.
Goodmorning,I’m a bit surprised that out of the blue, my Sonos One (only a few years old) apparently, according to Sound Repair Belgium, has a burned audio chip and is unrepairable. Is this a common thing ? I have quite a few Sonos speakers and after the hassle of the last year (software), I was not really prepared to see hardware problems showing up. Since Sound Repair is not returning the unit, I was wondering if I could get some kind of commercial compensation to replace one or more units and just as important, could it happen to other Sonos devices too ?In the meantime, we keep struggling with the app, lot of interruptions, especially when changing songs lead to fall out on many devices (up to two minutes to get everything back in sync).Best regards,Vincent Verraest
Awful. Speakers, Sub, AMP - disappear like magic. Factory reset all products, create a new account, get verified. Sign in, then unstoppable loop, can’t sign in, nothing will attach. Pulling speakers wires now sounds so easy. Worst product I’ve ever purchased. Works 30% of the time. What a hassle
Hi everyone,I prefer wired connections where possible, but of course that’s not always feasible. There are also situations, where Wi-Fi can't (mobile, or not disableable) or shouldn't (soundbar and surrounds/sub) be disabled. If I’m not mistaken, mixed setups should be avoided, as they can lead to issues or at least additional complexity (IGMP-Snooping, STP, BPDU handling...).In environments with home theater and other speakers, it would be great if one could use Ethernet and configure Wi-Fi to be used only for the dedicated link between a soundbar and surrounds/sub (since that has latency advantages, right?).Or, if SonosNet-capable devices that use Wi-Fi could be prevented from using SonosNet.But as far as I know, neither of this is currently possible - right?Or better completely ditch Ethernet and just go full Wi-Fi?Appreciate any input in advance!Cheers, Martin
I have seen several closed threads about connectivity issues with Wifi 7. I have called Sonos support twice about this issue and it seems like the bottom line is my Sonos speakers (including a Play 1, Play 5, and Era models) and the app only inconsistently work with Wifi 7 routers. And more specifically, the Sonos speakers need to stay connected to 2.4 ghz or they won’t consistently work. Is this still correct? if so, this is a huge weakness in an otherwise great sounding system.A few months ago I had my tech savvy brother in law help me connect all my speakers (the chiming process, which is cumbrous and slow) to my wifi network operating only 2.4ghz. For about a month or so this all worked. But at some point either my router rebooted or something and I woke up one day and all the speakers had disappeared from my system, according to the app, even though I could still see that the speakers were connected to my wifi network. Rebooting the wifi network and reinstalling the Sonos app wo
I got given a zp90 and zp120. Using the sonos S1 app the firmware update for these 2 products fails returning an error 11. I understand this can be due to the firmware being very old. I tried live chat and did all the usual resetting and rebooting with the agent. Same error each time. Any ideas about next moves. Thanks.
Gracias
I’ve been having issues with streaming my music library through Sonus for over a year, so am finally looking at buying a Bluetooth speaker, probably the Era 100. Can I then link it to my existing Play 1 speakers, so I don’t have to replace everything?
Hi,Newbie here hoping someone can help..have a play 1 and 3 and a beam. Play 1 and 3 seem to work fine and as expected when beam is not powered on. However once beam is on both play 1 and 3 disappear from sonos app which is very frustrating. Hasnt always been like this but xant quite pin point when it started happening
Since upgrading to the latest firmware and app release we no longer see Play:1 units and I notice they are stuck on 17.2.1 firmware. They are visible in the Mac app and playable and groups from there. Also, Home Assistant can manage the units.
Sonos instructions state press power on wait for pairing tone and light flashing blue, press button no pairing sound and light flashing green??
Is there a way to set the volume to an auto setting? By that I mean the sound difference between shows and commercials. The commercials are typically much louder than the shows we are watching, which results in constantly changing the volume up and down. Any help is appreciated. Thank you
Hi - I want to reset the Sonos system to get the maximum benefit on sound
Bumping this thread.Setting the volume limits in the app is NOT actually setting the limits - it just diminishes that speaker’s volume completely.I’d like to be able to set a room’s limit, so not only can I never turn it up beyond the set level individually, when I have multiple rooms selected, the “all volume” button caps at that limit for that room.Example - ‘Bedroom’ Is Set to 7Individual SpeakerI can use the slider (or the volume button on my phone) or the physical volume button to adjust that single speaker.I can cycle up through 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. If I try to take it higher, it won’t go.Group SpeakersI have Living Room and Bedroom grouped.I can cycle up. Both are at 5. Both are at 6. Both are at 7. I press the Up button, Living Room goes to 8, Bedroom stays at 7. I press the Up button again, Living Room goes to 9, Bedroom stays at 7. Etc.
Understand I could do own reserach but hoping those who have done these can provide answers. I currently have a pair of Sonos Five speakers and a Sub Gen 2 for music listening nicely setup - very happy although a second Sub will be even more awesome. I also have the following older gear in storage - 3x Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 (S1 app only) speakers and a Sonos Connect:Amp Gen 2 (S1/S2 app compatible) all in excellent condition.I have a vague impression from reading somewhere that the Connect:Amp can be connected wirelessly to Sonos devices. So I wonder if below are possible:Using S1 app > Connact:Amp > wireless 2x Play 5 Gen 1 speakers + a suitable non-Sonos sub via wired sub-out Using S2 app > Connect:Amp > wireless 2x Five speakers + wireless Sub Gen 2Reason for deploying the the Connect:Amp is I am thinking of using the line-in feature. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi, just bought three Era 100s, and set up two of them as a stereo pair with a Beam under the TV.I’m attempting to plug in a Pro-Ject cd player using the Sonos adapter with a QED 3.5mm Jack to Phono cable. Problem is the line-in isn’t showing up in the app as suggested everywhere.I tried the usual restarts, router, app, phone, sign-out/in, made sure the cables are pushed home, etc.Weird thing is, the menu shows up, albeit greyed out, under the bedroom Era 100 which its not connected to.Any thoughts?!JB
