I can’t set up my play 5 gen 2 to wifi. I can only Connect it vía an ethernet cable. I ve tried everything and nothing works.

We cannot rule out a hardware failure.

i suggest that you wire the unit, then submit a diagnostic and contact phone support.

Wireless card failure is pretty common on these units; I’ve had 2 from 4 fail.

As buzz suggests, a diagnostic will reveal if there’s an issue.

You can also hit http://192.168.0.31:1400/status/proc/ath_rincon/status (replacing 192.168.0.31 with the IP address of your speaker) for a status dump.

IIRC, the value of ‘PA rail mvolts’  drops from ~5,000 to ~0mV for a failed card.
