My Sonos system is 3 years old and has, in the main, hassle free but in the last few days I have not been able to play on the whole system. I get a cannot connect error but if I go into system I can see all the speakers and adjust their settings etc. I just can’t play from the Home Screen to the system around my house. any ideas? Thanks
Hi, I just bought Sonos arc, but we tried in different ways to install it buy it’s not possible. The app can‘t find. We don’t know what to do. If someone can help me, It would be great.
It is simple!! The new app it a total crap!!!! Can’t use it whatsoever. !! Garbage!!! Takes forever to load music if it is even loads what I want it to play!! Bring back the old app please I m bagging you to do so! Otherwise you will lose millions of customers !!
Hi everybody,Since the first installation, months ago, I’ve been experiencing continuous connecting problems with my setup (Era 100L + Era100 R + Sub Mini).Unfortunately, that translates into constant resets (even more frequent with the release of the new app), and my frustration keeps growing.I am using a ZTE MC801A router with a two-piece Eero system, does anybody have an idea? Many thanks in advance!
My system was great all still on S1 app and then I decided to add a speaker I could only add it by updating to Sonos 2- I needed to order a new Sonos Port since my old Connect would not work in Sonos 2- After ten or more hours of trying to update my 8 speakers Play 1 - I realized what a mistake I made- tried to reinstall S1 but now all speakers need an “update” (turned off automatic updates too late) and can’t add any equipment in S1 app- anyway to work around this ? Am I doomed to have to try to update again to S2? Anyone having luck with updating older Play 1 to Sonos 2 app? Furious my system is ruined!
I bring one of our speakers to our second home during summer. This speaker is used as a pair in our primary home. "Although I see my Sonos sl one speaker on my router list of connected devices at summer home,It is not recognized by my iPhone ". I have performed a factory reset several times and it goes through the set up process. Supports suggests that you unplug after setup and replug speaker for connectivity issues and I do, but phone still has issue connecting. Anyone out there who has had this problem?
I have a beam gen 2 and a mini sub all set up for tv sound. If I get a Sonos 5 for use as my music player could I add my mini sub to the five as well as keeping it in my beam 2 setup
A recent update has ruined the sound quality of my speaker. This speaker was purchased for its sound quality and more specifically for its ability to reduce sibilance in music and TV. Since the latest update the sibilance is so high the speaker has become mostly unusable for me. And the treble and bass settings no longer reduce sibilance. Sibilance aside, the audio quality is noticeably worse (less full and dynamic, voices sound like they’re being smothered with a pillowcase or they’re talking in a bathroom) Am I stuck with some stranger’s audio preferences every time there’s an update? If I, the user, have no control over the speaker I paid for then what is the point?.. I’m so upset my beloved speaker may be heading for the waste. Is there a solution to regain previous audio quality? Can I prevent unwanted audio changes in the future?
One box of my entire system can no longer connect to the WiFi since the app was updated. Three work perfectly, but one does not. I have reset it several times, but every time it comes to connecting to the network and I enter the WiFi password, it says it cannot connect. What else can I do?
I have 2x Play1 speakers set up in Stereo I changer my wifi extender & now only one speaker works. I have tried rebooting, followed Sonos connect steps, tried adding new item. No success speaker can’t be found It has power. It is on the same wifi as the other speaker. It in the same position as before.

Cannot get Group - Playbar and Move 2 to connect. States - Unable to connect. Try again later.
What did you morons do to this Sonos App. Cuts out. Stops music. Can’t connect. Get your S… together and fix this or we are out !!!
My playlists show up but wont play since last update. How do I fix?
I just bought a new sonos era 100 for my bedroom, it works as normal but refuses to group with my other rooms. Tried restarting all speakers, router and app. Any suggestions? I get the message: cant connect, try again later.. the other speakers i have is sub gen 3, arc, sonos one x2 and sonos one sl x2 edit: while my system is set for auto updates, it did not auto update. Sonos era updated when first connected while my other devices did not. Had to manually search for update and it fixed my problem.
I’ve just setup this speaker I’m thinking about returning it as Sonos setup isn’t what it used to be. It’s so much more work than it used to be. anyway, it works with the TV but it won’t play music or connect with Alexa… the first problem is I can’t even name it. It shows up as “unnamed speaker” and then when I go change the name it doesn’t hold the name in after I type it and go back to the previous screen. can’t play music through the Sonos app on it and can’t do anything with it in the Alexa app either
Hello. I have set up my arc and Gen3 sub using truplay. My problem is even though the bass is impressive it really hurts the ears, even at mid volume. Is there a way to set up the sub for the bass to be transmitted downwards so that it is felt more than heard. This is important especially when playing music.Any assistance?
I suddenly lost all contact with my play 3. No problems earlier. I have tried all the suggestions, also updated my app. Nothing works. Help!
Ik heb de sonos box gekoppeld met de app.. maar kan de box in de lijst niet zien en hij zegt niet verbonden Moderator edit:Google Translate-I have paired the sonos box with the app.. but can't see the box in the list and it says not connected
I have three Sonos Playbar speakers in three different rooms, all hard wired (RJ45 Cat6E cables) to my router. There is a very distinct lag between the speakers which is annoying enough that I do not have any more than one on at any time. The reason I installed the Sonos system was to have matching sound throughout the house so I am wondering if there is some way to adjust the sound to match. I control it through my desktop Windows 10 computer, not through a cell phone. Any ideas please?
Why is it some of the Sonos speakers no longer connect to the system since the last update. It’s impossible to use easily since this update. It’s been terrible
Hi there, I already have entertainment system that includes (Arc, 2 x one SLs, sub, play:5 Gen2) which I use Sonos app for them.but I also have a Roam and Play:5 Gen1 in my garage but I can’t use the app and it doesn’t let me to use Sonos 1 app without forgetting my existing system. So how can I use the app??I just want to use Play5 in the garage if this helps making the problem less complicated as I know Roam is part of new product and most probably it doesn’t work with Pkay:5 Gen1
When I try to connect my play three to the internet, it comes up with a error and says unable to update try again later, I haven’t used it for a couple of years & just moved house.
Why does the app continually fail to recognize my system when the app first opens? I have to close the app completely and reopen it a few times before it sees my components.
