I couldn’t connect since the latest App update and did a factory reset on the Play:1. Setting it up seems to work at first but when it comes to playing a sound on the Play:1 it does not do it and then the setup fails. It works very well on the Era 100.

Hey everyone I just bought a Sonos play 1 and I can’t for the life on me get it to show up on my account it’s connected to my WiFi and account but isn’t showing also can’t get it to update it keeps saying (the system owner much be logged in  please have the system owner log in  if anyone can help I would be really glad as this is really annoying 

I only have a Sonos play 1. It’s been touch and go for a good few years. I can open the app, load up Apple Music put a song on and it will play, then it disconnects and the app can’t find the speaker. Reset start again etc. Then it’ll go weeks being fine. However since the last update ( which I’d hoped might sort these issues ) it’s actually worse. Play a song, try to play a different one and it says “something went wrong” try to send diagnostics “something went wrong” infuriating. 

Hi allI’ve given my son a Play 1 speaker for his room, but he uses a TP-Link as he can’t get a good connection in his room.  We’re running into problems setting it up as it keeps coming up with error messages.  Any tips gratefully received! 

We have 8 Symfonisk in our space - since the update the speakers cut in and out, are generally unresponsive and when I factory reset the speakers one by one, an error message says that it can’t be linked to my account.  I’ve tried transferring ownership but it doesn’t solve the issues of the music cutting in and out.  Does anyone have a fix? The speakers had been rendered useless as a result. Completely unusable. 

Hi, I have a Sonos sound system composed of an Arc, 2 One SL speakers and a sub in my living room. I recently (last few days) discovered the One SL speakers no longer are outputting sound. I opened the Sonos android app to discover that there appears to have been an update, and both my One SL speakers are showing as network unavailable. I factory reset the 2 surrounds and reconnected to my system (living room group) , but I still get no sound from either. Both are flashing green and show as having no network available in the app. Please help as this is very frustrating. This is the first time I've had an issue with my Sonos products since purchasing them around 3 years ago.If you need any more information let me know. Regards, Greg

Just got a Move 2 and a Roam.I have 2.4ghz and 5ghz  networks but both these portable units have connected to the 2.4ghz and I can't see any option to select the 5ghz. There is not UPDATE NETWORK button in the settings on the app. I have a Playbar, Sub, 4x S1's and a Beam. The Playbar and the Beam are ethernet connected.All work well I just want to move the Roam and Move 2 to the 5ghz and can't understand what I am missing?(Got a Boost in a drawer that I've never used so would I be better off setting that up and connecting the portables to that?) Thanks Mark

Does anyone else have operating issues with the app? I have a One SL, app upgraded and now does not work at all! Cannot change tune stations, cannot chose music, cannot find alarm, voice control doesn't work. Most frustrating is waiting time on call contact is over 65'(!) tried over 5 times to reach Sonos on the phone UK. Chat doesn't come through either. Non available or I'll wait in the queue and then it will drop.  

Hi, I bought a brand new Sonos One (G1) for my system (about 15 devices). I can’t install it, since the automatic update doesn’t work. The iOS (13, 14) just spins and I tried the Sonos S1 route also where I am getting the 1101 error. Even tried the Windows app plus all other things like router reset, factory reset, re-install the app, log out/log in, etc. My Sonos One is running firmware v8.It seems a lot of people have this issue with older firmware installed. Sometimes going through the S1 route (register there, update firmware, factory resest, add to S2) works, but not for all. And it also impacts products like the Sub, Arc, SL, etc.Can someone from Sonos acknowledge this problem and if a solution is being worked on? I think the problem is that older firmware (v8 and maybe others) cannot be upgraded currently to v16.

Have not been able to use my Beam at all after last update. After a factory reset I was able to connect but the system demanded an update and it told me to log in using a system account. I only have one account created. Getting very frustrated after having to spend countless hours on this. Did a factory reset again but am not able to connect at all

My Sonos system constantly buffers, lags when I adjust the volume level, cuts outs, resets, etc. It’s unbelievable.  No matter how many times I have the audio company come out, they never find the problem but always charge me for the service call.  Outside of ripping it out of my house and replacing it, does anyone have recommendations?

I have a fairly full network of Sonos products with about a dozen speakers and various accessories. Multiple times my Sonos network has made a sound that sounds like an explosion. It’s extremely loud and the first time it did this I assumed that the speaker amps had shorted out and were now broken. The sound is extraordinarily loud and sounds like it would be damaging to the speaker coils. Afterwards, the system goes silent for five or 10 seconds and then it starts up again and seems to work OK. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?Bill

Hello. The sonos one speaker issues error 1014, tried to reboot, updated the app, tried to connect from different devices and over Wi-Fi. Nothing is working. What could be the problem? Thanks

I have speakers in S1. Wanna combine the new frame Sonos from Ikea. I saw a funktion in s2 that you could downgrade to s1. By mistake someone uppgradera to the new app. How do I go from here?

I changed my network and now it only works with a cab attached

My Sonos 5 stopped responding this morning - I have reset it and am trying to add it back to my account.  It connected in the app, then said that the product needed updating.  The process then got stuck saying unable to connect the device to my account, and i appear to now be in a loop.  When I look at sonos.com I can see the 5 there, but registered 4 years ago Just to note, I am using the latest version of the app and my Play 3 is working perfectly (as was the 5 until this morning)

I have bought 2 era 100 for the bedroom and they won’t link to my account 

Since this update installed playback from Deezer has been unstable.

Hoping to get some help here,  since Sonos customer service is worthless.  I currently have the play 1 and play 3 speakers.  I just purchased the Five, with the hope of this working in conjunction with my Donner turn table.  1-will the turn table work with all of the speakers ( old and new)? 2-which version of the app do I use? Thanks in advance for the insight!Moderator edit: edited for clarity

Hi everyone,I’ve recently bought a new Sonos One to add to my existing system (already a Beam2 and Sonos One)I’m using the Sonos App on Android and I get to final phase of the installation but I keep getting the message that the device cannot be added to the system. I’ve tried with the chime, with the manual PIN, wireless and cabled. I’ve also tried with another android device but all failed.I’ve been reading on some other topics that there could be a issue with the recently updated app.Has anybody found a work around or do I just have to wait for Sonos to fix the app (if that is want is causing my issues.Thanks in advance

So with the new update, I’ve had to reconnect all my speakers. I didn’t really have any issues connecting 3 of my Play:1 speakers, but my Play:3 speaker won’t connect. I did a factory reset, the light flashes white & orange, but it never flashes green (as it should once connected). Anyone have any suggestions?

Whenever my PC is turned on or off, the Sonos Era 100’s make a connection sound… This is VERY ANNOYING as it disturbs the household in the wee hours! I have checked Windows Startup Applications and Services and there is nothing there to indicate Sonos app/service is on permanently.I have 2 Era 100’s in a stereo pair configuration and I use both the PC desktop app and the Android Phone App with them. A similar question was raised 7 months ago however the “fix” offered does not work.Era 100 makes loud sound when connecting and disconnecting bluetoothEra 100 has an Idle Auto-Disconnect setting which will disconnect your Era 100 from a Bluetooth device after 30 minutes of sitting idle. This setting is off by default, but can be turned on in the  Settings tab under System → Era 100 → Bluetooth → Idle Auto-Disconnect.

As part of an internet network upgrade my network changed names and my Sonos system is no longer recognised. Just to to confirm that I will need to do a factory reset on all products. They are connected by Wifi

I have more than 15 Sonos devices and the new app has been a huge frustration. three subs had disappeared and I tried adding them on but goes into an infinite loop to restart system and restart app, not registered, not assigned errors.After waiting on phone for 2 and half hours I hung up. Waited on the online chat today for over an hour, finally got someone to help..after multiple restarts and network reboots, still could not connect. Was finally told it is a known issue and they are working on it!. Shocked Sonos released something like this untested. Very disappointed.
