How do I make my ikea symfonisk a Bluetooth speaker? I was not successful hooking up to wifi   While on holidays. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks 

Is Sonos planning to give us the ability to stereo pair 2 Sonos Move’s via bluetooth? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!

I hope an update is coming because I’m over going to use my roam and it’s dead. Out of the five times I’ve wanted to use it I have only been able to use it once. I have to leave it on the charger when not in use otherwise it will be dead when I go to use it. When it’s on the charger and it gets to 100% there is no way to turn it off. If I hold the power button for five seconds it turns off but within a few seconds it turns itself back on again. If they don’t say a fix is coming within a week sadly it’s going back.

Anyone else pissed that Sonos doesn’t include a power adapter w/ the roam?   Before you tell me that everyone has a bunch of extra 10v adapters lying around the house, I’ll tell you that I don’t.  

Is it normal that a Play 5 gen1 speaker reach end of life in 5 years 2 months?

Can I use my Roam in a steam shower? I’m a wheelchair user and am having a roll-in shower built equipped with a steam-bath. I would of course place the speaker opposite of the steam nozzle. I’ve used cheaper Bluetooth speakers designed for the shower in the past and they worked OK. One speaker’s  suction cup released, it fell and stopped working. The other speaker was just not worth listening to. My original idea was to use the Roam in the shower to make a phone call in case of an emergency as I would with the Google Mini. That option is not available. I haven't really used the Roam in my present shower. It is equipped with a steam-bath but, s too small to steam in for a long period of time.  Regular exposure to steam might be asking too much. thanks

Is there a way to have SL Ones startup when I turn on my Samsung TV and Beam Gen 2? Or do I have to physically turn on the SL One each time I turn on my TV/Beam?

I can't add Sonos Roam to my network. It asks me to update the App, but it is already updated

Everytime when my wife wants to connect to sonso roam with bluetooth it just does not work.Sometimes when the device is off it starts automatically and no worries, but more often even when the device is on, the bluetooth on the phone tries to connect but no response what so ever. I have to stop and start the sonos several times and all of a sudden it connects.What I described is exactly the same patern that I must follow to get the thing working.just try over and over again until it reacts.It is really annoying that she up until now is never was able to connect with out my help.She has no issue with all our other Bluetooth devices so she knows what to do. (Just click on the devices name in the bluetooth menu)I am worrying I was unlucky and bought a faulty device.   

Hi guys, I am a proud owner of a Sonos Roam speaker. I love to carry it when visiting friends and barbecuing at different places with WiFi coverage.I prefer the WiFi connection so the music keeps playing even when I move farther away from the speaker.Any chance to see an easy and quick connection of the Sonos Roam to different WiFis? Or advise how to do thiss in case I have missed this option? Thanks, Toller

The difference between Sonos and Bose is generally that Sonos is the better company in terms of their software and installation, as it's very easy to build your own multiroom setup. However, Bose still has the edge on Sonos when it comes to sound quality.

So I just got the Roam yesterday for the primary use of connecting it to my projector via Bluetooth and then ‘sharing’ the sound with my existing pair of One SL. But the Roam doesn’t ‘share’ the sound to the SL, whether on WiFi or BT even though both sets of speakers have been grouped together.When on WiFi and using my Andriod Sonos App, if a song is first played on the Roam, it won’t play on the SL when it is added to the group. If the song is first played on the SL, it will play on the Roam when added to the group. (No issues with creating the group for both instances, but no sound on the SL in the first instance)When the Roam is connected via BT to my phone/projector, the sound won’t play on the SL when they are added to group. (clicking on the Group icon on the phone app shows both sets have been grouped and playing). I’d like to take my pair of Sonos Moves to a friends house for a visit. What’s involved in hooking them up to a different wifi (while the rest of my sonos gear remains home) and then hooking them back up to my wifi when I get home?

I don’t want to run an HDMI cable from ceiling to Sonos beam since its an hasstle.I am looking to connect Sonos beam to firestick from projector.Anyone aware of solutions?

Since the most recent updates to the controller and to players, the white status light on my new Roam will not turn off no matter what the settings are in the controller.  I have seen a couple of other threads on this same issue that are closed to further comments.  Does that mean Sonos is working on a fix?  I do not have the same issue on my many other players and amps, just on the Roam.

I am considering a Roam for my office set-up and would prefer to position it vertically on my desk - my concern is that it doesn’t have the rubber ‘feet’ on the end, in the same way as it has on it’s side, and may cause it to vibrate on the desk surface. Does anyone have any experience with this type of set-up? Thanks D

Having read several threads where many people are disappointed that Roam cannot be used for surround speakers, how about a new product for all those people with relatively small rooms and no convenient power points?This would be a pair of Roams (RoamSurround) with cut-back features especially designed as rear surround speakers to suit Playbar, Arc etc.  Packed in pairs with a special price point reflecting the simpler build, I am sure that it would sell well …The Roam is a fantastic speaker - put me down for the first prototype or pre-production model!I use Ones, Amp, Playbar, Connect:Amp - and of course my new favourite - Roam.

I read on the internet that it is Bluetooth 4.2, but on the official website, it says that it is 5.0 ... which one is true? Has the Move had a hardware overhaul?

I’m still new to Sonos. I can play music with no problem on my Roam, but how do I stop playing music other than shutting off the Roam?

HiHow on earth do I manage to get through to someone at sonos to make a formal complaint? I have had a problem  with a new sonos roam for around two months, as every avenue I have tried to explore to tell sonos the speaker is not working I can’t make any progress????I have been a customer of sonos for many years but am appalled by the lack of support. It pains me to have to explain the problem again and again, I have had telephone calls, emails and spoke via web chat explaining the problem but every avenue has come to a dead end. I was even told to send a video of the problem and that still resulted in someone contacting me from sonos with the question what Is wrong with the speaker?!!!. And the Emil that I was responding to now says it is no longer monitored!!! Again I can’t get anywhere! The problem is as simple as this. I have charged it for days (yes with the correct cable and plug) and after that it simply will not turn on. I just want to return the speaker!I

Wow seems to be a common thread here with these Sonos Ones…shame product was not built well to start great music average experience... Report submitted number is: 451659277I have fixed the IP address for both Sonos products...I still need to reset my One each day…I have had this issue with two different routers and wifi setups...there is something defective about the wifi in these devices… Please come back with report analysis so I may update whatever needs to happen for this delicate little flower to work on wifi...

I have a standalone Play 1 in my bedroom that does not connect to my wifi anymore. It worked fine for years, the problem started when I changed my wifi from 2.4 Ghz to 5 Ghz, and then after back to 2.4 Ghz (because I learned Sonos does not work well with 5 Ghz).The Sonos system in my living room is still working perfectly.I tried everything to make it work again without result:unplug power and restart reset to factory settings connect with ethernet cable to update sofware  reboot my routerEverytime when I try to connect the Play 1 to wifi using the steps in the Sonos app, I get the same message: “we could not connect the play 1 to your wifi”.The 2.4 Ghz frequency (active) and 5 Ghz frequency (inactive) have separate names in my router, so there can be no confusion in the system about that.Thank you very much for your suggestions :)

It seems a shame that it is only possible to add two subs to a home cinema set up. Why not two Fives and two subs? 

Hi,I have a question not easy to explain but I will try : I bought a sound at Arc connected to the TV on ARC output, a subwoofer, two sl one. I coupled these four speakers in the application, they are installed in my living room. When I listen music the sound is playing on all speakers but when I watch a movie a tv, or when I watch tv the same sound is not playing on all speakers, the main sound is playing on the sound bar and the other sound (the background music) is playing on the two sl one.i would like to ear the same the sound on all speakers all the time. Is it possible ? I checked the different options in the application without successBest,titep_50

Hi community! I’m a long time Sonos owner (I have about 12 Play:1’s) just ordered a couple SL’s, had a Play:5 Gen1 pass through my hands and ordered a Gen1 Beam (used).  I’m a little bit of an enthusiast, having gifted a couple play:1 to my parents, the play:5 Gen 1, etc. I’m here to say hi, but to ask something:  In a large space, what do any of you feel is optimal arrangement of Play:1’s or Ones? The reason I ask this is that I have an open loft apartment. I have stereo pairs around in the kitchen, office, living room, but recently discovered that adding a single unpaired between the stereo pair added some kind of something that I liked a bit. It got me to thinking: Would I want to put all of my “left channels” to one side of the apartment and right channels to the right side? I wonder if there is any possibility that the Tuning feature could be enhanced to apply to pairs of speakers in a room to optimize the entire room into a single 360 experience of so
