trueplay does a great job adjusting the mid and high frequencies but not the same with the bass, which is diluted in the mix prioritizing the mids and highs. Although the improvement is slight because the speaker that incorporates the sonos roam is very small and does not have the help of a passive radiator to improve the bass which cannot compete with the same size speaker from the competition. In my opinion the configuration of the sonos roam should have been like that of the sonos play3 but more compact and with passive radiators since its sealed configuration does not give it the necessary water to generate better bass if we cannot see a soundlink mini with 2 small speakers generating better bass than roam.I will try a flip 6 to compare the bass to see how it goes.
I have 4 sonos 1 speakers spanning 3 generations: 1x Play:11x Sonos one,2x Sonos one SL I have routine connectivity issues, with speakers dropping intermittently and from time to time an inability to connect to 1 or more speakers. I will sometimes be able to stream direct from Apple Music to one of the speakers but at the same time the speaker will not show up in the Sonos app. I recently upgraded my network router to a mesh router in order to try and stabilize my connection and improve security. this seems to have had no impact. Any help you can provide would be great.
If i tourn off the microphone and Put the volumen at 50% , I can reach 10 hours of battery life.My question because this happens, maybe there is some excessive use of processing that drains the battery when the microphones are turned on. or is trueplay the cause or some bug in the software?n the manual it does not say anything about the energy consumption if I put a voice assistant or if I use trueplay. they only say that it lasts 10 hours with the volume at 50%Another thing, if it were that trueplay spends so much energy, they should put the option to do it once when the user decides it and not that it is on constantly. nobody is going to be moving a horn so many places. The battery usage of these active functions may not be correctly calculated.*my advice to sonos roam users, turn off the mic if you want longer battery life.*The new Sonos Roam SL confirms my theory. The same speaker with the same 17wh battery but without the microphone, equals longer battery life.
In the app my roam shows as offline and occasionally it decides to show itself! Is anyone else having this problem? Oh, and the battery life is horrendous so far. If it doesn't improve very soon I suppose I'll have to take it back. Can anyone recommend a good Alexa enabled speaker for the bathroom?? 😳
I’m trying to connect my new Roam to an existing system, using the Sonos app on my phone. The app is able to identify the product, which has a green blinking light.I’ve had several different outcomes, but never a connection.“Your mobile device is unable to set up your product. Use a different mobile device and try again.”→ I’ve used three different devices (2 iphones, 1 Android) no result.“Your mobile device couldn’t connect to your Sonos Roam. Move your mobile device closer and make sure the Sonos Roam is powered on.”→ No result. On one occasion the app offered an alternative method connecting over a ‘temporary network’ with the Roam making a sound which the phone was able to pick up. This seemed promising for a while, but ultimately failed.Yes, it’s fully powered.Wireless is from a 5Ghz fibre, always pretty good, and never had problems with my exisitng system of two Sonos 1s.My Sonos 2 app is up to date on all devices.Any thoughts? Thanks!
Can you tell me which one it is and how it compares with Sonos one Sonos move and Sonos roam?
Use Case: As a customer of Sonos and other speaker products I’d like to connect multiple dissimilar products with little hassle.
While on vacation with a Roam and mobile app will i have access to my music library without downloading music to my phone?
In regards to the battery installed in the Sonos Move, how many cells are in the battery and is the watt hour rating written on the battery?
why does my SL chime ascending tone? No alarms set
> > > > > > Maybe I'm being harsh, but wouldn't it have made sense for Sonos to raise memory sizes from year to year as memory became much cheaper? Take a look this web at how little Play:5 Gen1 had to begin with.
I just bought a new Sony TV Bravia, in which I plug an Apple TV. I have a Sonos Roam in another room (kitchen). When I am looking at a movie there is a latency (delay) in the sound between TV and Roam that makes it impossible to use.The Apple TV is connected to the network via Ethernet, but the Roam of course with the WiFi of the same network. Is that the issue? In fact with the previous Tv the sound was going to a Linn amp, and not trough the Apple TV. How to solve the problem? A Sonos app in the TV?SuonO app, but every comments are negative about it?I tried to connect directly the Sony TV to the Roam but it didn’t work. Thank you for your help.
My Sonos Move keeps turning off every time I take it off the charger. It says it’s fully charged but seems to power off every time it leaves the doc.I’d be grateful for any suggestions on how to resolve. Thank you.
I got a Play 5 recently and have been trying to play from my record player on it via aux, I'm currently living in the dorms at uni and am unable to connect to wifi to enable auto-play. I only want to use my speaker through my aux so I refuse to spend $50 on a travel router and never use it, my last option I believe is to use my hotspot from my phone to get the speaker setup and on autoplay so I can listen through aux but it hasn't been working and fails to connect and I need help getting it setup through hotspot. Thanks
I bought the sonos arc , ones for surround and the sub .I just got 1 Five can I connect it to my surround as a center channel or just so I could hear them all together or do I have to buy the 2 . If so I definitely need to return it if I need 2 to get it to work . Thank you
Would love for Sonos to collaborate with someone to develop headphones specifically to be used with the system and connected like a Sonos One speaker. Anything like this in the works? If not, do you recommend a headphone to use for nighttime listening that doesn’t take a technician to figure out?
When the Roam launched there was an issue where, because the way BT Smart Hub worked, it would not join the network. This was due to ‘decision making’ with regard to the 2.4 & 5ghz channels. Allegedly this was resolved. Not so.I’ve continued to have the Roam missing or unable to join Airplay 2, or join & disappear shortly afterwards. I have a Beam which is fine. I’ve spoken to BT help and Sonos technical who knows how many times. They are both still advising to split & rename the two networks. Same solution as 18 months ago. Which a) is an appalling fix & b) won’t work for me because my devices are mixed & need the option of choosing consistent or fast speed I.e Apple TV.I’ve experimented with the Modes & channel banding but this destabilises other speakers & devices. Quite frankly I shouldn’t have to do this. This really isn’t good. OK BT might be partially at fault, but they have issued upgrades designed to mitigate the issue but surely if other Sonos devi
Can I link 4 Sonos One SL speakers? And in the future, can I add those ones to a ARC bar and sub for a HT?
Hello everyone.I’m desesperate. I have a switch CORE ms250 (support multicast (IGMP and multicast routing).SONOS device is on VLAN 13I have different devices on VLAN 14, for this example I have mi laptop with SONOS app and wired connected on one port of the MS250 on VLAN 14. I have enable multicast routing on SVI 13 and SVI 14, and setup the RP (I tested many configuration about the RP, sometimes for VLAN 13 or VLAN 14 but doesn’t work).Unfortunely my SONOS app on VLAN 14 doesn’t detect the SONOS device on vlan13 with all features that Meraki recommends.I have call Meraki TAC and I don’t have any answer about this behavior. Is there anybody that can HELP ME to know the correct configuration to enable communication between SONOS and my device from different VLANS?
Hi!Is there the possibility to use a Sonos speaker connected via Bluethoot to the smartphone, in order to listen music even if in the house you do not have WiFi/Internet avaliable? For instance, I could use my smartphone connected to the speaker in order to listen either music stored in the smartphone itself or in streaming. Is that possibility vailable somehow?thanks!
I just received my One SLs that I ordered from Amazon and I noticed the box says “Shadow Edition”. Any ideas on what this Shadow Edition is and how it may differ form a “normal” edition? Thanks.
Can you pair a Sonos Playbase to a iPhone using BlueTooth?
What are your thoughts on using Sonos one (gen 2) as a sound system in a wedding venue. Currently have 3, but could add to it for the day. Looking at ways to keep costs down by not hiring a DJ. Thanks
Sorry if this has been asked/answered already… but can anyone confirm what version of Bluetooth the Sonos Move devices currently use? I noticed Sonos have updated their “Power + Connectivity” section for the Move, which now states Bluetooth 5.0 https://www.sonos.com/en-gb/shop/move#2 But I’m still seeing messages on this forum, and ‘reviews’ from third party sites as recent as January 2022, stating it still uses Bluetooth 4.2 - has there been a low-key specs update ?
Has anyone experienced the same thing? Our roam was connected to the mains and playing music when it suddenly disconnected and for the last 40 mins or so has been emitting a really really loud noise like a helicopter. We can’t turn it off, have disconnected it from the mains and tried all the options to turn it off. It is now over heating and we have had to put it outside. ( and in a box due to how loud it is). We have had it less than 1 week. We will return it but am just hoping the noise stops so we can take it out of the box, and that it doesn't catch fire first!
