Playing songs on my computer continues to be a really weak spot with SONOS. The issue is compounded in that later -- like today, the next day -- as soon as I open SONOS on my Samsung it starts a string of “I can’t play that” that goes on and on, literally blocking my use of the phone. I wasn’t even going to play songs off the computer when I started this morning! the best I can tell it’s never the same songs .. it’s just like random.
Hello, I recently chose to upgrade a product with Sonos Upgrade Program (https://www.sonos.com/myaccount/user/offers/upgrade/. However, now I don’t intend to upgrade and want to sell the Playbar to someone else. Is there an issue with the fact that is marked as ‘Upgraded’ if I remove it from my account and give it to someone else? Is there a way to ‘undo’ the upgrade? Thanks.
HiI have a blaupunkt TV and I have synced my remote with my Beam but I dont know how to disable my TV speakers?
I see a few reviews are out now and a few customers even have their new Sonos Arcs. I know people are constantly asking about specific TVs and Atmos compatibility and I hate to add to the pile but has there been any word of Atmos support on recent Sony TVs that only have arc and not eArc? I have a Sony A8F OLED and I’m hoping Apple TV 4K will pass atmos through thanks for any help
Hey guys,I purchased the Sonos Beam because it had rave reviews.Little did I know how much of a nightmare it would be to actually get to try and do the most basic of stuff my 10 year old bluetooth speaker can nail.Seriously, why I can't I wirelessly connect the Sonos Beam and my Apple TV? I have a projector which is remote from the speaker, and thus is plugged in with Apple TV, so I can't actually plug the HDMI KEK or whatever it is into the Projector for sound. How did this pass design with everyone not realising what a complete * up this was?Would love any advice, otherwise it's going in the skip. What a waste. Moderator edit: unacceptable language.
My problem already detected and existing and never disappeared since 2018, then due to transfer from Italy to Gemania I did not finish the assistance path, (now I made a move and I brought it here. The playbar emits a whistle, high-pitched hiss, like fax noise, tried again at factory settings reset, with and without optical cable connected to the TV, add and removed other speaker from system updated firmware, tried with other power cable, off and disconnected nearby devices, disabled wifi , tried network cable, etc., as soon as I feed the playbar, the whistling whistle starts, tried other electrical outlets but the annoyance is always there, I don't want to make other attempts to exclusion and waste more time, in the case of procedures that already have previous solved the problem then I can give it a try. since the problem is known and had by many other people I ask to send my playbar directly to service, and also an estimate before shipping of the repair costs based on the cases alre
Hi all, I have a current system set up with 2x One, sub and a playbase, I have just purchased a pair of Five G2’s and want to set them up as front speakers in the surround sound setup, is this possible? I tried adding them to the current tv setup I have but it set them up as a stereo pair. Now when I play them with the TV I get the vocal coming out too and it doesn’t sound good, sounds a bit echoey. Is there a better way I can set them up to get the best surround sound experience? many thanks N
Hi,I have a Sonos Move on order. I am going to purchase a Bluetooth transmitter to play a records on a turntable through the Move. Most of the Bluetooth transmitters use Bluetooth 5.0, which the Move uses 4.2. I simply want to make sure that if I buy a 5.0 device that it will work with the move. Understood if I will not have all of the advantages of 5.0; I only want to know if the devices using different BT standards are compatible. Thanks for your help.
I’ve seen a few older topic’s saying Sonos is currently not doing anything. But perhaps over time things do change. I was curious if there are any plans that somebody from Sonos or in the community knows of to have native integration between Sonos and Philips Hue lights?I currently see there are third party apps who offer it, but am a bit hesitant to allow third party apps access to something like this. With Philips Hue and Sonos popularity it would be great if both could do something like this. And make me feel more at ease if it came from the actual producers of the hardware then a third party.
I have a problem and hard time setting up my Arc and two Sonos One SL as surround. I recently purchased a Lennar house equipped with two Ruckus APs, Ruckus Switch and my own NetGear Modem and Edge 4 Router. I keep getting the “Surround Setup Error” message even after resetting the devices to factory settings or setting up in different orders. My Sonos sub will arrive soon but I’m losing my excitement for the setup because of this nightmare. Does purchasing a Boost help?
Hi - I have a setup with turntable and cd player feeding into a preamp, then separate amp to bookshelf speakers. How do I integrate this with my existing Sonos stuff so that:I can play the turntable or the cd player through both the passive bookshelf speakers and the wireless sonos speakers, and I can use the app for streaming to the passive bookshelf speakersIs it as simple as inserting a Port between the preamp and amp (that seems to easy)?thanks for any feedback!*** this is a basically a duplicate of a post I made in ‘components’ (I’m new to this, sorry) ***
Hi Sonos Comunity, I want to know if I can leave my new Move on it´s charging base when it´s fully charged, or will this hurt the battery life? Thanks,Rutger

Lucky enough to get some for my bday today, but can’t seem to connect them to my Samsung smart TV?! what’s the deal?! the site suggests it’s possible to use the pair as surround sound / stereo and shows them placed in a lounge, in front of a tv and behind the lounge?can anyone help me out?! Surely this is possible?!

I could use Sonos One SL using AirPlay before iOS 14 update. But just after I updated to iOS 14, Sonos One SL disappeared from AirPlay devices list. Sonos app works well, only AirPlay does not work. I pulled the plug from outlet and connected again, but it did not work.

Hi everyone, apologize for the basic question, new to this. I have the Sonos arc, 4 inch ceiling Bose speakers, and two Sonos amps. (The new black ones) -plus the sub. question 1. do I need one amp or two speakers in this set up? That’s how I have it set up now but I can’t figure out how to make them both surroundsound, or if I even should do that. question 2.I’ve also seen articles where people are using one amp for all four speakers. Is this what you suggest I do? And then set that one set of four up as surround?Other tips? thanks!!john
How do I remove duplicate tracks from a Sonos Playlist? The last answer to this question is from 2013 and no longer works. Thanks.
Hello. Recently purchased the Sonos arc and sub, very happy. Looking to add rear channels for full surround. Based on set up of the room these need to be in ceiling speakers. Planning to buy the amp. Was looking to add some Sonance speakers. Currently have the MAG8R. Anyone know if these will be compatible and ideal? Do I need to downgrade to something smaller? Will I be able to get full surrounding support as well as use them effectively in my Atmos? Thabks
I recently purchased a new Samsung (2020) Q80T (Q8DT- Costco) Series - 4K UHD QLED LCD TV and also purchased the Sonos Arc. I have connected the Sonos Arc via HDMI to the back of the TV (HDMI-3 (eARC-Port)). In the Expert Sound Settings on the Samsung TV I have enabled: HDMI-eARC Mode to Auto** Digital Output Audio Format to Auto Dolby Atmos Compatibility (selected and on) I then go to Disney+, Apple TV+ or Amazon Prime on the native apps provided on the Samsung TV and chose a movie with Dolby Atmos listed in details. Once the movie plays I go to the “about my system” on the new Sonos S2 app and select the Sonos Arc to verify the audio output codec. **It displays the Audio In as Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 when HDMI e-ARC is set to “OFF” in the Samsung TV Expert Sound Settings and Dolby Multi Channel PCM 5.1 when HDMI e-ARC is set to “AUTO”. I do not have the Netflix UHD 4k plan at this time so I have not trialed this with Netflix. I have never been able to get the Sonos Ar

Hi, I have my beam connected to HDMI ARC.I then have my cable Box, Firestick and playstation connected to the other HDMI ports. When using the cable box, every time i change channels from SD to HD and the sound switches to dolby digital, the sonos beeps for a second.Does anyone know a way to disable this sound because it is very annoying. This does not happen when i select PCM sound only from my cable box, but obviously the sound is not as good. My playstation or fire stick when watching any content, doesn’t have any issues either. Thanks
which sonos system is better for a living room, Arc+Sub(gen3)+2 One SL or Arc+Sub(gen3)+2 fives. I have visited several forums and videos and I am not sure which sound is better.
Hi. Totally new SONOS user who has not really got to grips with the power of the system yet. I am used to individual speaker Bluetooth use only, so SONOS is a huge step up for me.I have recently purchased a BEAM and love it. I want to add to my Sonos setup. Not sure where best to go next. I am not really interested in 5.1 surround sound.Looking at the deals on line, I was either thinking of buying 2 x ONE, or, 1 x ONE and 1 x MOVE. Our outdoor area has power, so we don’t need the battery speaker (MOVE) as we could plug in the ONE’s.So basically, to add to my BEAM, should I purchase 2 x ONE, or, 1 x ONE and 1 x MOVE.One thing I would like, if possible, is when using the TV, to have the TV audio coming out of additional speakers. Is this possible with either of the above options? Thanks in advance.
