Hi Sonos Comunity,

I want to know if I can leave my new Move on it´s charging base when it´s fully charged, or will this hurt the battery life?

Thanks,

Rutger

Optimum charging strategy varies with battery technology. MOVE’s batteries love to be on the charger. Keep MOVE on the charger unless it is out and about.

In general, batteries are sensitive to the number and depth of discharge cycles. Running a battery from full charge to full discharge is a tough road and this will decrease overall life. Older NiCd batteries liked to be fully discharged once in a while. While it does not seem fair, the lithium batteries used in most modern consumer electronics will slowly self discharge and fail, without use, if the equipment is stored for extended periods.
