Do I need one speaker or two for surrounds

A single One can be grouped with the Beam. It would play in sync for music but the audio would be slightly delayed for TV sound.
Surround speakers need to be bonded in pairs. They’d play in sync with the Beam at all times. So, yes, you’d need another One SL if you’re wanting surround sound.
