6 days ago I recycled my Play 5 with Richer Sounds on the back of the Sonos "bricking" of legacy products and used the 30% discount for a new Play5 . I recycled my old Play 5 with the store and have now found out they will no longer be bricking said products but I have now recycled/lost my perfectly good speaker but they ate still offering the 30% discount. What are my rights here? Being a loyal customer I have now lost out!
Why when I search under playlists on Sonos do I not see my Spotify playlists? Many of these are uniquely named and should be readily visible and yet they never appear in searches. I have all my playlists set to "Public". Any tips? I’d like to able to access my playlists from other Sonos systems (at work, at events, etc.). Thank you for the help!
Ok, I've had it with Sonos. This is the second time this happens. I already had to replace 2 iPad gen 1 with iPad gen 2 tablets and now it seems I have to buy 2 new one's again. I'm going to sell everything and buy some other system that does not impose these kinds of practices upon me.
So, I goofed, forgot about tradein, and got a Port to replace a ZP80. I’ve noticed that prices of course have plummeted, for obvious reasons. My ZP80 has only been in use for three years - I bought it NIB, still plastic wrapped, in 2016. Other than the legacy issue, it should have years of life for someone not upgrading their whole system. The problem of course, is how does a potential buyer know I haven’t traded it in? How do I sell it and then not have someone claim it’s been recycled and demand money back? Anyone have ideas?
I have my beam connected via the HDMI ARC port on my TV, which works fine. I’d like a way to also connect my BenQ W2700 projector via HDMI (which also has ARC). Does anyone have this setup with a compatable HDMI switch / matrix / splitter ? I’d like the source to be a Chromecast Ultra. Cheers !
We received a request for a new feature that would allow you to control the Sonos volume via the menu bar in OS X. Let us know your thoughts on this and add a +1 if you'd like to see this feature on Sonos.
my sonos move just has a flashing blue light. Nothing I do will shut it off or re set the speaker. It was working great. Now it is a brick...
Display "Playlist" on the home screen.
One step away from a perfect HT. I have a Playbar and two Play 3s. Only SUB missing. Wife won’t approve it. I can get one Sonos One, though. So, now only thing to choose from is One SL or One. May be I could stretch it to a pair . What do you say? Neven
I know this is a feature already requested in the past as I've seen multiple threads spanning over the last 5-6 years but they are all closed with only the latest comments from about 7 months ago. I'm sure I am not the only one who wants to be able to restrict Airplay or other forms of playing music from my Sonos system. Is this feature coming? I can't imagine it being too difficult to implement a simple pin that bluetooth speakers implement before establishing the connection with it. Another possible solution is expanding the parental controls that is already a feature in the app and making it more customizable to how the end user (me) wants it to be. Why hasn't this feature been implemented yet? Please help!
Due to Sonos dumping old stock and screwing there customers out of potentially £1000s pounds of soon to be now useless equipment are you going to stop buying Sonos and buy another brand as I am?
There’s so many features that the desktop client, Windows and OSX, is lacking that I’m looking for a better application to use. Any suggestions?
Is there a way how to combine two sonos (one, symfonisk ...) to stereo pair and stream the airplay 2 on them? Is this grouping possible? As you can pair two homepods. I know that you can combine two sonos in sonos app but is this set able to accept Airplay music from iPhone and play it into two channels stereo?
It's now early April of 2019. Just a week ago I purchased the Sonos Playbase via used. (Sorry Sonos, your product pricing is uncommonly steep compared to most.) I thought I did my research well enough and found the Playbase to meet my needs. In regards to it's sound within the soace I live in it's fantastic!... until I realized my research was woefully ignorant of the one big topic that's permeated through many forums here: Sonos's desire not to succumb to the growing market and past technologies of DTS 5.1 and Dolby Atmos. Yes I've read their reasons and yes they make sense, but that doesn't negate the fact that if I'm to enjoy any AV media that utilizes, these formats Sonos finds so unpopular, I have to struggle blindly and feel my way to costly work-arounds. DTS incompatability has been a heavy hitter in this particular arena. I actually don't mind the downgrade to Stereo (which was one of the reasons I chose the Playbase for my theater sound solution) The problem is that w
I just got off the phone with tech support - my Sonos cube cant “connect”with the app on my phone.I haven't used the device in a month. After going through the usual antiquated prompts I was told that unless I plug in an ethernet cable from the modem/router to the Sonos cube It cannot be fixed - WHO HAS AN ETHERNET CABLE LYING AROUND in 2020? All I can say is that its Valentines Day and I have no music. Pathetic. I’m shorting SONO stock on Monday.
turning up then down brings it back. Unit is about 2 years old.
We are new users of Sonos. We have a set of Play 1’s and a Beam. Which is the best way to tune our surround sound based on what we have? Using Trueplay or should we use EQ? Thanks for any input.
I'm constantly tweaking my EQ, Surround and Sub levels based on what I'm watching or listening to. I really just want these sliders all on the same page instead of drilling into the Advanced audio menu all the time. Wireframes attached.
Hi there! I’m trying to wrap my head around one issue with integrating Sonos and my Hi-Fi setup and I’m open for any advice or suggestions that might solve the issue: I have Sonos around my flat. In my living room I have a Hifi system with a turntable. So far, I either listen to my records or I stream. For that there are a pair of Play:5 sitting right next to my old loudspeakers. I wish to marry my stereo with Sonos. The reason I didn’t do it so far is the lag when streaming analog audio while using the Hifi system simultaneously. My space is very open, the rest of the flat lagging behind the main room is no option at all. My setup consists of a Pro-Ject Pre Box DS2 with two mono power amps behind. No I had the following thought; Putting Sonos in between pre- and power amp would get rid of the streaming lag, but at the same time all my analog audio would go through Sonos DAC. Am I right here? If this is right, the Sonos Port should have something like an “analog signal through” optio
Hi, Thinking about installing a pair of Genelec 4020 in our restaurant. The rest of the hotel is pure Sonos and I really would like to continue using the Sonos app. How should I set it up and what kind of equipment is needed?
I have a Beam and two Sonos Ones, and my TV is Philips. If I set up my Playstation to use the "optical" for audio, there is no problem, but as soon as I turn it to HDMI--which is the real dolby one!--there is almost a one-second delay. Any ideas? it is really annoying. Thank you!
This thread is specifically for those who are trying to understand the Playbars 5.1 and DTS issues. As most of you know the Playbar does not convert DTS signal. It also will only convert 2.0 to SIMULATED PCM 5.1 signal. If you can live with the simulated signal, then you are ahead of the game. IF you want PURE unadulterated 5.1 from your DirecTV or Cable, you WILL most likely have to buy a switch like this one. http://www.monoprice.com/products/7974 Or a Bluray converter like this one. http://www.oppodigital.com/blu-ray-bdp-103/ MOST tvs will not convert true 5.1. There are some on this thread that say they do, but most dont. I found this out the hard way by buying one of Samsungs highest end tv's, only to find out that 2.0 is all im ever gunna get. A $75 switch is a bargain IMO to have such sound to the Playbar the way it is intended. IF you want 1080p up convert video and and 5.1 audio, then a simular Bluray like the Oppo is for you. Concerning movies that are only on
I have Foxtel IQ4 connected via HDMI to my TV (Samsung RU7100) I connect my TV to the Playbar Via optical cable. When I select AC3 (Dolby) audio output on the Foxtel there is a noticeable delay is the audio, if I select PCM there is no delay. I plugged the optical cable directly to the Playbar from the Foxtel and the lip sync issue was fixed. So clearly there is a delay created when through the TV. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? Well a better solution than having to unplug and plug the optical cable from Foxtel to TV and back again depending on what I want to watch…..
It would be great if we were able to disable the touch controls of the playbase but keep the touch controls active on the connected surrounds. This would prevent children from jacking up the volume on the playbase yet still allowing adults to control it on the elevated surrounds. Currently disabling the touch controls works across all of the sonos in my living room
