Beam, TV and BenQ W2700 projector

I have my beam connected via the HDMI ARC port on my TV, which works fine. I’d like a way to also connect my BenQ W2700 projector via HDMI (which also has ARC). Does anyone have this setup with a compatable HDMI switch / matrix / splitter ?

I’d like the source to be a Chromecast Ultra.

Cheers !

Hi @jdlang

I found no specifications that the BenQ W2700 projector is HDMI-ARC (CEC) capable. However, I’d be very interested to find that spec if you can point me in the right direction. In the meantime the link below gives my recommendation on how to integrate a projector with a Sonos soundbar or Sonos Amp and AV sources.

Hi @AjTrek1

Thanks for the reply and info.

Check out page 30 of the manual

https://benqesupport.blob.core.windows.net/esupport/PROJECTOR/UserManual/W2700/W2700_UM_EN_191127174603.pdf

• Audio Return (HDMI-1)

Enable or disable the Audio Return function which is only support on HDMI-1.

• On: Enable Audio Return to return audio to speaker. When connecting to

ARC (Audio Return Channel) compatible speaker to the projector with HDMI

cables, the audio can be returned to these speaker from the projector.

• Off: Disable Audio Return function.

ARC - but no CEC unfortunatly

Hi @jdlang

Thanks for the reply and pointing me in the right direction :relaxed: .

I have included the BenQ W2700 in my post as being HDMI-ARC capable. However, I did not vouch for its HDMI-ARC operational validity as I have not tested it not has anyone stepped forward. Maybe you can be that person :relaxed:

Cheers!
