Can other people come into my home and use their music app on their smartphone and connect to my sonos speakers?
Sonos won’t allow tracks stored on my phone to be added to Sonos Playlists. My question is, what music service or Android app will allow me to create Playlists from tracks on my phone that I can then either play through Sonos or cast to Sonos? Or whose Playlists I can import to Sonos? My Google Play Music and YT Music apps will create Playlists from tracks on my phone, but can’t cast to Sonos (SONOS doesn’t show on list of available device) My Tidal app will cast to Sonos, but won’t let me add tracks from my phone to its Playlists I tried the Samsung Music Player based on a post in the Community but it just keeps stopping (I’m using a Pixel 2 so that’s likely the issue) I should mention that my YT Music app also has the limitation that I can’t mix locally stored tracks on the same Playlist as streamed tracksI have hundreds of tracks I’ve accumulated over the years and my phone is my primary music library because it’s always with me. I’m relatively new to Sonos and am shocked that it won’
I recently purchased a SAMSUNG - 8K QE65Q700TATXXU. I’ve connected it directly with an optical cable to my Sonos Playbar which has two one speakers as rears (gen2).I’m experiencing very slight lip sync issues when using Netflix and Prime through Sky Q - has anyone else experienced this? I’m not sure if this is something that can be resolved quite simply by adjusting some settings. Any feedback would be appreciated. TV is up to date and about 2 weeks old.
I have a large square, open area that is a little over 3000 sq. ft. This area is a weight room that is in need of a sound system. I have Sonos products in my home gym / house and would like to install at work. What would be the best setup and speakers to use for this open space? Thank you
I have a projector BenQ tk800 (Without optical output, only AUX out). This projector connects to Nvidia Shield with HDMI to HDMI and this is how I watch movies.I want to connect the projector to Sonos beam that I will hear the movies through the Beam. What will be the best way?
I am so missing a playlist function when playing books from Fabel / Storytel. Annoying when you have a series for children where each book lasts 12minutes and you have to open the next book manually after the first one stops. Any way to solve this?
Hi!!!We are currently building an outdoor covered porch. I have 4 ceiling speakers that are rated for outdoor use, that I’m planning to power with a Sonos Amp. The Amp will be stored inside the house. The speakers will be evenly distributed in quadrants across a 16x13 porch.I am planning to have a BenQ projector and connect it via HDMI ARC to the Sonos Amp. I am not an audiophile looking for 5.1 surround (we have a good Sonos 5.1 setup inside). The projector is going to be something we bring outside from time to time, and use for movies with the kids, or sports with friends.I was hoping that the 4 ceiling speakers will not sound like complete trash, and would be acceptable to use from time to time for events mentioned above. Our main purpose for the speakers will be music, and I am not interested/nor have a good location for a soundbar. Here are the speakers: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_749CCM382/Bowers-Wilkins-Flexible-Series-CCM382.htmlAny and all advise will be much appreciated!!!
HiAnyone tell me how many centimeter (CM) the power cord (220V) is on the Sonos One speaker?Rgds
When I browse and go to Spotify I have zillions of albums and playlists i do not own, or even like. Sonos is forcefully showing me the following categories with HUGE THUMBNAILS!:Made for meGood nightPopRockJazzBest of artistsMoodNew releasesRecommended audioThrowbackChartsJump back inFresh new musicChillDaily musicBased on your music listeningHappy AND FINALLY after 17 Categories:My library!!!This is ridiculous. And all these are with huge thumbnails and i have to scroll down for years to get to my Spotify Library! Why? This is not a service! This is making life difficult with your own money!I pay for Spotify, I pay for Sonos and i have to bear with this ????I wish i could send you a screenshot.
I am looking for a way to connect our reciver to our sonos speakers so that we can get sound from smart TV, Dish, PS4, DVD player, etc to play over existing wired speakers and sonos speakers at the same time. I am assuming there is another component we need to connect the reciever and the sonos speakers, however after reading through the descriptions of what’s available, it’s not clear to me what I need. Any advise is appreciated.
Hi everyone! I’m excited to have Sonos, but I have a question.First off, I just bought a samsung q80 tv for black friday. I couldn’t figure out a way to connect my Sonos Play 5 (gen 2) to my TV, so I read online that if I bought a Beam, and plugged that into my eARC port, then grouped my beam and play 5 together, then the audio would come out of both speakers. This is TRUE, HOWEVER for some reason it sounds like there’s an echo or a delay or something with the sound. Both speakers are pretty much just under the TV, so it’s not the positioning. Can you guys please help me on how to correct this? I LOVE the base and sound from my play 5. It was so much easier with my last TV that just had an aux port, honestly. What i’ve been doing is in the grouping in the app turning off the volume on the beam and just keeping the volume for the play 5, which honestly seems like a HUGE waste. If i can’t figure out a solution I’ll probably end up returning the beam :(.Lastly, do you know any way that I c
When I first bought my Play 1 and downloaded the Sonos app to my Android device, I had no issues playing songs from the playlist on my device (Samsung Music - nothing fancy). Then at some point (months ago) I can see everything (songs, genres, artists) but when I select “Playlists” the screen just shows “No selections are available”. Tried clearing app cache and data, went into Sonos app settings, System, Music Library, Update Music Index Now, allow it to scan but nothing seems to happen. Have tried calling Sonos support (couldn’t get through), tried asking via Facebook and the solution was so convoluted a gave up. Pretty much ready to sell my Sonos products, delete the app and just stick with streaming my music using Blutooth. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Hi GuysI haven’t seen any recent posts - is the Beam working well with Samsung TVs in terms of lip sync? I’m looking at buying a new Samsung TV and a new Beam, but want to ensure the lip sync is all sorted.
Anybody else in the UK not getting their ARC today despite preordering last month? Just been informed that there was issue with shipment last night of the products so not getting it today... absolute joke. Would have been better off not pre-ordering direct from Sonos and buying from elsewhere today
I have a Beam, sub and two SL Ones as left and right surrounds connected to my television. Works fine until I switch to Spotify and use the speakers together with my Play 5 and Move. When I go back to television, the Beam works fine but the sub and surrounds are silent. But seem to be showing as online. I’ve fixed this in the past by rebooting the router. Obviously, I don’t want to have to do that every time. My diagnostic is 601964715.
Seeking a kind soul that can help me answer a question that I have, I have 2 fives with a sub and I am very tempted to buy a beam and take the sub from the fives and create a 3.1 system for movies and use the fives for music only, Question is, is the beam and sub good enough? Will I get enough bass from the beam or need I go full 5.1 ? I'm not looking for a punch in the chest like u can get from the fives with sub, but I really want to hear those low frequencies and maybe some vibrations as well, answers are very much appreciated thank you
Every time i try to link my Amp as a surround speaker of my Arc the room disappear and nothing happen i need to reset it and retry . the Amp gonna work fine if i setup it as stereo speakersbut gonna disapear if i try to link it as surround. i dont know what to dothank! tech.legault
I ordered the Sonos Move on Black Friday and it still says back ordered. It was supposed to arrive by Christmas. Any chance of that still happening? Or can I can an ETA?
Since upgrading to new Sonos S2 app I no longer have play controls in the notification drawer or on the lockscreen. Anyone else seeing this?Have tried adjusting notification settings in the app and in the OS (running 10.0.9) but to no effect. Tried to clear the app cache as often fixes app issues but no change. Same issue even after full device wipe!A friend with 7T does not have an issue so wonder if this is specific to the Pro?Any help appreciated!
I have mostly older Sonos equipment. 2 S5’s, 2 S3’s and a couple of newer S1’s. I have moved my extensive CD collection to my hard drive and hardly ever use streaming services. I much prefer to manage my system from my computer rather than my Pixel4XL. All of this is to say I don’t care diddley about new software just to keep up with streaming servicesI just fired up my windows app and it wanted me to update (which I had just done less than a week ago!). So I did. The update took 3 minutes, said it was done but then goes right back to asking me to update again. I cycled through it 3 times (it doesn’t take long now, I guess because it is already updated. But it won’t do anything else. Everything else is grayed out. Oh yes, it will allow a reset. I’ve got no time to screw around with that, running all over the house, resetting speakers, just because I want to play a little music.
Please play just music on your stations! I just started listening today to Concert Hall and loved the selection but you need to lose the moderator between songs.
With the introduction of Sonos Radio the company is now throwing up advertisements for Stations it thinks I might want to listen to. WTF? If they want to expand their services, fine - but I have zero interest in Sonos Radio. I don’t listen to it and will not subscribe to it. I see a lot of people asking how to remove it from the Services even. Of course Sonos won’t let you remove it (which is terrible in its own right) but whatever… The argument goes “you don’t have to use it”. Well that argument only goes so far when Sonos starts pushing the service on me without my consent. These are not audible ads while listening to Radio, to be clear. These are prompts to use Radio WITHIN the Sonos controller app. Example: while in the “Search” page browsing through my own damn library the app throws up card telling me I should really be listening to some Dolly Parton Holiday Station (!!!??!). It steals the focus and you have to engage, either X-ing the promotion closed or clicking the big “Play
can not install s1 and s2 at the same time on a windows10 computer, anyone have the same problem?
Installed Sonos Beam on mantle, in close proximity to Charter/Spectrum Cable Box.Spectrum Remote became “sluggish to inoperable” immediately thereafter.Turned off power to the Beam … Spectrum Remote worked fine.Re-powered the Beam … Remote reverted back to “sluggish to inoperable” state.Appreciate any guidance/insight/solutions …
Hello community!I have just purchased my very first Sonos product, a Move. Sadly my first impression is far from as good as I had hoped. The unit is set up and functional, however, I experience frequent dropouts when streaming to the speaker over AirPlay.By dropouts I mean short interruptions in the playback. Aside from these dropouts I have also experienced the audio completely stopping, even if the medium from which its being sourced, say Spotify, is still playing. These problems occur regardless of source. Tried with two different iPhone models (X and XS) and via Apple TV, with all devices being up to date.Today I tested streaming to my Apple TV, choosing my TV for video while choosing the Sonos Move for audio playback. The video signal was seamless, while the audio dropped out. I then switched to the TV’s built-in speakers and the problem disappeared. Even if I have a steady WiFi connection I have tried moving the speaker around to exclude disturbances in the network. Unfortunatel
