Hi,Since yesterday most of my Sonos IFTTT applets don’t work anymore. Might be related to the upgrade from 13.0 to 13.1.Oddly my applet to set the volume to a specific default value in the morning is still working (but I can’t edit it as players are not loading). Not working:pausing a player start playing a favorite radio station on a player editing or adding an applet as I don’t see any players or favorites to selectAction failure messages I see in IFTTT are either:“Internal error (400 Error: Request failed with status code 504)” or “There was a problem running the action"I tried connecting IFTTT with the Sonos service again. That works without any problem, but doesn’t fix anything. To me it looks like there is a communication issue between Sonos and IFTTT backend systems.Anyone else seeing this? Or is everything working for you guys?fok
If you own a Sonos TV component such as Beam, Arc or Amp you’ll be familiar with the following screensaver and similar: ARC backdropThese components output a video signal to show that they're connected. Sonos should release an update that allows users to display ‘Currently Playing’: At a later date maybe even introduce Google Cast and Apple Airplay (Video)
Setup Sonos Arc with One SL and Sub Gen3 on my Samsung TV. Synced up perfectly with HDMI ARC connection and all working great. However for some reason occasionally after shutting down TV for the night, the next day the audio comes on and then stops for a second or so before starting again. This repeated continuously, unless I disconnect and reconnect the HDMI connection or reboot the Sonos ARC. rebooting the TV has no impact, so the problem looks like the ARC. Interestingly if I go to the Sonos Source I don't get any signal from the Sonos when the issue is present? However when it's all working properly, I get signal okay and see the Sonos curved lines screen. Diagnostics have been submitted on I'd 1258411113 Any help appreciated
A good possible product for Sonos and custom installers would be a CI multi-zone amp (like a Denon Heos Drive HS2). Rather than having to buy 4x separate Sonos Amps at £599, this CI amp could cost around the £2000 mark.(Back) Sonos Amp CI(Front) Sonos Amp CI(Back) Comparison to Sonos Amp Benefits of the Sonos Amp CI:-Cheaper for customers-Reduce shipping costs by sending a single box (rather than 4x Sonos Amps)-Possibility of a Sonos Amp CI Pro (adding more digital inputs, more analogue inputs, sub out, 6x speaker zones, additional ethernet) Details:-4x speaker zones from a single unit-Network boards internally bridged to allow a single ethernet connection (wi-fi not available due to bandwidth limitations)-Out the box the CI Amp would appear as 4 separate zones within the app-Inputs can be assigned / locked to specific zones-Rack mountable-Zones can be ‘permanently’ linked together, appearing as one zone within the Sonos App
Help please! I have a Sonos Connect which is wired to external an soundbar using RCA. In the same room I also have a Sonos One (gen 2). When I group the 2 Sonos devices together, the audio is very noticeably out of sync. What can I do?
Hi, I looking to buy either a pair of Sonos Play 5 Gen1 or a single Sonos Play 5 Gen2. Kindly give me your opinion which option produce better sound and music ? Thank you.
I’ve dug through various forums including here and can’t find a solution to this problem.I have just purchased a Beam with two SLOne’s as rears. The rears are right by the sofa. When they aren’t being used, the have a constant high pitched hissing sound. It’s not loud, but the point is, I can hear it, which isn’t good!I’m downsizing from a regular amp/speakers 5.1 set up, and I would never hear anything coming from the rears when it wasn’t supposed to.Digging around the forums, nobody seems to have a resolution for this. Any ideas? edit: these are on latest upgrade - all brand new units.
I noticed a lot of high end subwoofers can play really low frequencies but after running a few test frequency files, I realized I can’t get any of the lower frequencies which would round out the high quality music files and bass in movies. this be a great feature for the next Sub.
Hi,I hope someone can help me!I have a Harmony Elite and Companion, each with their own hubs. Both have been set up and working until about 10 days ago. Each one is set up in a different room, but in both rooms they are controlling a Sky box, Samsung TV and Sonos Arc with Sub & surrounds. The Companion is still working fine, but 10 days ago the Elite stopped controlling the volume on the Sonos Arc it was connected to.After a bit of investigation, when I look for Sonos on my network using the Harmony app (as if I'm setting it up for the first time) it only finds a Sonos Move (which I have in another room). There are 8 other rooms with Sonos in and it doesn't find any of them, 11 days ago, it used to find them all.The really odd thing is if I search when using the Companion hub, it finds about half the rooms and still controls the Arc it is set up to control.I'm tearing my hair out with this, I've tried deleting the harmony Elite, resetting it to factory, powering everything off and o
I know this topic has been brought up in the past but it’s shocking that we still don't have this feature. All Home AV Receivers give you the option to force multi channel stereo output to all speakers. This is great for many reasons and can’t grasp why sonos hasn’t addle an option for this. I have an arc and two One SL’s and have them in my main room. Due to this limitation and the space setup I just decided to have all 3 speakers configured as separate rooms so i can achieve this. I understand i’m giving up 5.0/1 setup but worth it for my use case. Ideally sonos wouldn’t ’t’t force it’s customers to make this choice and give us an option. Completely ridiculous,… I’ve fond posts dating back 6 years asking for this feature. What gives sonos?!
Hi I just purchased two AMPs one for indoor and another for outdoor use. I also want to insert a wall mounted volume control for each set to be able to quickly turn down volume if needed. Can anyone advise what volume controls are compatible with the Sonance indoor and outdoor speakers?
I’m no audiophile, but there is a noticeable difference in quality between the Five and the Beam plus Sub when playing music. Am I expecting too much from the Beam and Sub given they are not designed for music? Am I setting things up incorrectly? Thanks folks
Hi, is it me or is Atmos on the Arc just a myth! I’ve had the Arc for about six months feeding it Atmos soundtracks from ATV and XBox (streamed and Blu-ray) and can honestly say I have not once detected a ‘directional’ sound. It sounds good and the 5.1 effect seem to work pretty well but as far as Atmos goes I forget it even has it as a feature, which is a shame as that was a big draw for me. I also prefer my Beam for music. I hate to say it but I feel the arc is a bit overrated.
After having streaming dropouts for a week or two I checked out the Sonos page on incompatible hardware and found my recently purchased and installed gigabit switch was incompatible. I plugged my Boost back into the router rather than the switch and all perfect now.
Just bought a new Samsung QLED 8k tv and using a Sonos playbar with optical cable. The lip sync is horrible and i have searched endlesly and called Sonos and Samsung for a fix but cannot find one. I have tried all different settings and reduced lip sync delay to zero in Sonos and in the Samsung TV and there is still a delay. Any other ideas out there to get this fixed? You would think in todays technology age this would be a non-issue. Going to return the TV if i cannot find a fix.
Anyone having same issue as me ? After trueplay it sounds good and sounds are balanced on both rear speakers but after a half a day or so , my rear left speaker started to sound quieter compare to my right speaker. I have tried to trick the speaker on the left side to make it louder but then after half day it becomes quieter again. I truely think this is a bug on the trueplay software. I'm using an arc and play 1 surrounds by the way
Hi I need some advice,I have a Sonos Beam with two symfonisk as Surround (a 5.0 system). Should I upgrade with a SUB to get a 5.1 system or should a buy a Sonos Arc to get Dolby atoms but with no SUB?
I have a home full of S1-only kit but like many others I am now effectively barred from buying any more new S2 Sonos kit due to the need to either have separate S1 and S2 systems, or brick my current kit for a 30% upgrade discount to S2. This all seems to be due to memory limitations unrelated to the actual amp and speaker properties of the S1 devices. So perhaps there is a fix for the memory issue to allow these still highly capable S1 units to operate in an S2 world? It would seem to me a fairly simple network solution for Sonos to launch an “S1/S2” interface that sits in the distributed Sonos network and looks to the S2 network as an S2 network and looks to the S1 system as an S1 system, allowing interoperability of devices with control over all S1 devices. The necessary logic and memory could all sit in one (master) interface device for S1 (slave) devices, effectively creating in software a “virtual” S2 version of each S1 device. The interface device can then just pipe the audio to
Hi Community!I bought a house with pre-wired, semi-surround speakers in the walls. I was thinking of connecting the wired speakers to a Sonos Port and adding a Sonos Arc but am not sure I can ‘synchronize’ them when watching TV or playing music. I would like to create the same experience as using the Arc + 2 ones this way. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how would I set it up?Thanks!
I have connected my phone via headphone jack to my gen1 play5 speaker aux input, but I get no sound output, do I need an in line amplifier to boost the phones audio output to get this to work.
I have a beam and two One SL as surrounds but the surrounds don't work with my TV but do with music. The audio output from my TV is Dolby digital.
I have my living room set up with a Beam, two Ones for rear channels and a sub. The beam is in a TV armoire with the tv. When we are entertaining, we have the armoire closed and playing music. However, since the beam is in a closed armoire, is doesn't sound great and is muffled. Is there a way to bypass/turn off the beam so music is just played through the 2 Ones and the sub?
Call me crazy but would love to receive some kind of notifications on new stations being added and/or being removed whether in app in the email box or another way. Think it would help in promoting it to the masses as well. Also, having some way to “review” stations whether 1-5, thumbs up or down, or sometimes, often, alot or never would be nice. I know Sonos gets the usage numbers but it would be nice to have some direct input as well.
I have had problems connecting to my Synology NAS. Having tried looking for an answer on the web and getting nowhere I phoned Sonos and after an hour I was no further forward. I eventually found a workaround , not a solution. I found if I unplugged my two One SLs and connected to the NAS Library using the Play 1 which worked correctly. If you try the play music from the One SLs you end up loosing the music again and have the access denied message. However, if you play the music from the Play 1 and link either or both One Sls to the Play 1 you can play the music. The One SLs can only play whatever is playing on the Play 1. At least I can play my music. Hopefully this might get sorted some time, but not holding my breath.
Hello everyone, I’ve been struggling with a Sonos Play 1 speaker losing connectivity. I now believe the issue is that it can’t connect to our office Wi-Fi, as it works fine when plugged into a router via ethernet. However, the speaker belongs in our reception area, which does not have its own router. How can I restore wireless connectivity? My receptionist is missing her music and I don’t want her to have to purchase a new device. Thank you!
