I have been enjoying Sonos Roam for almost a year. Recently i brought it out on a vacation with me.when i got back,’the voice assistant ceased to work hence i uninstalled the option then tried to reinstall tthe function but to no avail. I have tried todo it again maybe 30 times still no go. I have hard reset the sonos, logged out my account, turn on bluetooth reboot my mesh network still no go.. Help help please. What else can i do.
As topic says, using voice control on Sonos ROAM will not play a playlist that is saved on Deezer. The command instead seem to be searching for the playlist name as a search term, and then playing those songs.Example:Hey Sonos, play ‘My Favourites’ [and various variations inclusive of service name etc] The playlist is saved in Deezer as My Favourites, and still successfully add to the list via voice command to add a song to ‘My Favourites’This featue has been the most used and why I used Sonos, as it use to work.Any suggestions? Anyone else having same issue? I found a near matching topic here [closed] I did update to latest firmware.
Hey! Since many of your products have both speaker and microphone in the same device, would it be impossible to contact two (or more of these) in a “call” with each other? Apparently Sonos isn’t able to use Amazon Alexa drop in feature (because of missing blinking LEDs or something?), but could you perhaps make it’s own intercom feature for multiroom homes with multiple speakers? Just use Sonos Voice Control instead of Alexa/Google Assistant to enable this feature so you wouldn’t be affected by other companies like Amazon? I know I’m not alone wanting badly this feature without use of any additional echo devices. Sincerely yours,Aksulotli
Just got a Beam gen2 and have been loving it. Though it would be nice to be able to say “Hey Sonos, turn off status lights” to turn off speaker lights during a movie. The option to turn off the status light is several touches and swipes to get to. It would be much more convenient way to access with Sonos Voice.

How can I turn off a Sonos audio message about voice control? Whenever I pause and then unpause my Era 100 speakers, I get a Sonos audio message about using voice control; and I want to delete that or turn it off. After hearing the message several dozen times, I’m ready to delete it
How can I play my favorite radio stations defined in My Sonos (Favorites) via Sonos voicecontrol. Each time I ask “Hey Sonos ,,.” he searches into the Sonos library and not into My favorite stations. So stupid that I think something is wrongly configured at my side.Thank you for your help.
When asking Sonos voice assistant to play music it says that I must have a music subscription.I use Spotify all the time with sonos. Alexa has no trouble with Spotify. I recently used sonos voice assistant with One of my Sono One devices and it worked fine. When I moved the speaker to another location it stopped accepting Spotify.I have since deleted Spotify and reinstalledI have deleted Sonos and reinstalledI have removed voice assistant and reinstalledI have run out of choicesWhen I look at music services in setting I see that Spotify is greyed out with a comment … not compatible
I can't get SVC to recognize KNX News 97.1 from Audacy.com on my Sonos Move. I've added it to my Sonos Favorites, my stations list and added the URL with a unique name via Tunein in the Sonos App. I've also tried renaming it in the Sonos app and calling it by the unique name. I'm able to play it on my Sonos Move using the app, but want to play it via Voice Control. I've tried calling it by "97.1" and other variations of the station's call letters. I tried logging out of Sonos, re-adding voice control, re-adding Audacy under Service Accounts, re-adding the Sonos skill in the Alexa app (for my Sonos 5), resetting my router, updating Sonos and cycling power.
I was wondering if there are any plans to expose some kind of developer API or custom commands for Sonos Voice Control? What I have in mind is invoking a webhook with a command recognized by Sonos. I’d love to use Sonos in my home automation system e.g. by saying Hey Sonos, turn off the lights. As developer I don’t actually need Sonos to integrate with any of the home automation systems. What I would be happy to have is Sonos system to call a defined webhook with recognized words or broadcasting this with MQTT or any other common protocol. In ecosystems like Google Assistant or Alexa these are vastly more complicated, but having this kind of easy-access API would open Sonos to home automation community and similar enthusiasts.
is there any way to specify where SVC will look for stations when the command is “PLAY xxx”?there are two local radio stations, both in Sonos Radio, both added to my favorites and Sonos favorites.KBCO KBCO Studio Cfor the life of me I cant get SVC to play the top one. various wording will bring up all kinds of crazy channels from around the world.my goal is to have SVC cycle through a short list of preferred (sonos) radio channels.thanks
Hi all, Just become a proud owner of a Sonos Era 100. Loving it so far and the app works very well. However, one issue I’m having, I’ve added my Synology NAS drive as a music library, I’ve then (through the app) created a Sonos Playlist with songs from this library. I can playback via the app itself, but the Era 100 will not accept a voice command to play the playlist, keeps saying that music service is unavailable. Any suggestions to fix would be welcome, I could keep a tablet next to Sonus to playback as all songs/playlists etc do work via the app but I’d prefer to use voice control if I can. Thanks in advance. Jamie
My default music service is Amazon Music and when I ask the Sonos voice assistant to play or shuffle a playlist with 200+ songs and then look at the queue in the app, there are only 100 songs in queue. If I start the playlist through the Sonos app and check the queue I see the full list (200+ songs). Is there some setting I am missing?
Microphone light won’t work
Hi, I have Apple Music and my own curated library of albums in my Apple Music Library (ie with tracks I don’t like removed). I can get the Sonos app to play albums on Apple Music via voice control, but I can’t find a way to get voice control to play albums from my Apple Music Library. Can anyone help?
So I just got an Arc, along with the Sub and surrounds. This is first week I’m using it. I’m amazed I don’t see this more often on these threads, am I the only one whose Sonos Voice Control goes in and out? I have gone through three straight conversations with customer service the last three days about this, and no resolution. They get close but no cigar and tweaked a bunch of settings. I assume the microphone light should always be on so it can always hear your wake up command, but often it turns off, even when it’s playing music. They’ve tried everything. I’ll give it another day and then plan to get it replaced. Overall I think the system is really cool, but this is starting to get annoying.
Hello, I’m using SVC on the Roam. Any answer given by SVC is (subjectively) twice as loud as the actual media volume. This makes it extremely disturbing and unusable for me because it’s basically yelling to the whole neighborhood about my Sonos setup status… making me go to great lengths to actively not use it. What’s the solution here? Thanks in advance. (P.S. this goes somewhat hand in hand with a different topic of mine, discussing the need to not have answers at all.)
Hi all!I have just purchased a pair of One SL’s which I plan to put in stereo in the room named stereo. Since I own a One Gen2 allready can I say Hey Sonos play “something” in stereo? Do I have to group the SL’s and One Gen2 first?Thank youNeven
I would really love to see voice control for more settings like Bass/ Treble/ & Sub Volume. Example-“Hey Sonos, set bass to -4””Hey Sonos, set sub volume to -2”Also it would be cool if you had different options for the increments raising and lowering those settings. For example, instead of just Volume percentage, also add a 0 through 10 scale like the Alexa voice control has. Less spoken words equals easier voice control, e.g., Alexa, set volume to 5. Would anyone else love to see these features added?
We used to have Echo devices for home automation but when Sonos came out with voice control on their speakers I got rid of the Echos and put Sonos speakers throughout and used Alexa. The only feature I miss is the “Drop In” feature from Alexa that is not available on Sonos. We then switched to GA since it at least has the “Broadcast” feature. I know you can use the Intercom app on your phone but that is not as easy as using a voice assistant especially with kids who dont have phones. I was hoping the new Sonos Voice would include something like this. What is the proper way to submit a feature request? I see several “Feature Request” posts scattered throughout the forums but didnt know if Sonos had any other official way to request things. I would like to use Sonos Voice but since it can’t be used with GA in order to keep using Broadcast it’s not really an option at this point. I did play around with it this morning and it seems to work really well for the music side. If they a
I listen to radio A or I listened to radio A the day before, I ask SVC for radio B, answer "ok good choice" but Sonos remains on radio A, I ask for radio B again, answer "ok..." and it's radio B finally.Sonos Roam 15.9Thanks
It's one thing that Google Assistant is missing, but the fact is Sonos Voice is rubbish. I asked Sonos "Hey Sonos, play [Song] by [Artist] everywhere" and it said it doesn't understand. Yet in the app, you can choose to play a song 'everywhere'. It also doesn't understand "Hey Sonos, play LBC radio". Also no Spotify control with Sonos Voice. Come on Sonos, I know you’re in dispute with Google, but their assistant is so much better. You’ve got to implement this ASAP for the Era range, the current voice assistant is unusable!
Hi All...hope there’s some help out there.I have had Sonos Play, moved away for a while, but back now with Era100 and Deezer as my subscribed streaming service. I have Sonos voice control (SVC) activated. SVC recognises and plays, say, The Ink Spots but will not recognise and play Slim Whitman. This is one example, there are many - it will not find Shostakovich Romance The Gadfly or Opus 97a - none of these trigger a response through Deezer, even though I have manually found the music I wanted through these keywords in the app search, and played them. What gives with this? I have a perfectly well rounded English voice, with no regional accent and am speaking clearly and close enough. I can elicit a response for Goldfrapp, Orbital, The Ink Spots etc, but not, it seems, the more rarely requested? Any thoughts? The American rejection voice is also becoming a little tedious I have to say, with today’s AI it would be nice to have a Kate Blanchett telling me to find what I want in the Sonos A
