Hi everyone, I’ve been doing some sound tests with my Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub Mini + two Ones setup and noticed something interesting. When I use the Netflix app directly on my Samsung Q95T TV, the Sonos app reports Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1.When I use Netflix on my Apple TV 4K (3rd gen), Sonos reports Dolby Digital 5.1 instead. On the TV, HDMI audio is set to Auto (no passthrough option available), and HDMI eARC is enabled. To my ears, the audio from the TV’s built-in Netflix app sounds more “powerful” compared to the Apple TV. So I’m wondering:Which format is technically better: Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1 or Dolby Digital 5.1? Is one higher quality than the other? Are there any settings I should tweak on the TV or Apple TV to get the best possible audio?

I was playing an app from my IPad and the blue light started blinking. All the sudden the iPad was kicked off and a song from someone else’s device started playing and I couldn’t control it. I reconnected my IPad and it didn’t happen again. please help.

Until recently this was working just fine.  So if I said ‘Hey google, turn on the lights’, it would ONLY turn on the lights in the same room as the Sonos speaker who heard the request. But now it turns on ALL the lights in the house!!! If I say ‘Hey Google, turn on lounge lights’ this does work - but room awareness was working before!I’ve looked at other posts but nothing suggested works for me.  Is this a Sonos or Google issue? BackgroundI moved broadband suppliers last week, and their hub wouldn't let me use the same wifi password, which of course resulted in the Sonos devices going offline.  Using the app I updated new network on one of my devices (which worked fine) but mistakenly didn't click do this for other devices so they were removed from my sonos setup.  For each of them I had to factory reset & re-add to the network - which means re-adding Google assistant support again. But afterwards all working ok. Checked / Tried so far….Confirmed each Sonos device has a room name a

The app on my phone is up to date and I can now save the queue to a playlist but I still cannot  configure the app to sort my music library by album artist (which was supposedly reintroduced in the early December update).Any thoughts on why this seems to be missing?

Can someone tell me how i can get the Sonus to always link to the TV as a source.I have two issues:when the TV goes into standby, and then is turned on again, the Beam does not seem to pick p the TV, and the sound goes through the TV speakers. I have to turn off the Sonos, and then turn it on again how do I toggle between streaming music and the TV. If I stream music, and then I want to switch back to TV, I can’t work out how to do thisI can’t see any setting in the app - I have a Sony Bravia  3 TV

I do not see upgrade credit for my Play:5 Gen 1. Is this not supposed or an error on my account?

Spotify recently added Dolby Atmos for premium service customers. When I play music on my Sonos app is there an indication that Dolby Atmos is playing? I don’t see any indication that the song/album that’s playing is in DA. When I play music from Spotify app on my iPhone on bottom left it shows lossless, not DA.

Hi all, I’m having inconsistent volume control with my setup and would appreciate any advice. Equipment:TV: LG Nano866NA (2020 model)TV software: webOS 04.63.25Soundbar: Sonos Playbar (connected via optical)Remote: LG Magic Remote (also tested with brand new replacement) Issue:The LG on-screen volume graphic appears every time I press volume up/down, but the Playbar responds inconsistently from normal seating distance. If I stand close to the Playbar, volume works reliably. From the sofa, it misses presses intermittently. Everything worked perfectly for 5 years until around two weeks ago. Steps already taken: Replaced remote batteries Purchased and tested brand new LG remote Re-trained remote in Sonos app (removed and re-added) Set TV sound output to Optical only Full power cycle of TV and Playbar (unplugged 5+ minutes) Confirmed IR is being emitted via phone camera test Tested in different lighting conditions Checked no obstacles in front of playbar. Observations:TV always shows volum

Gracias  Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:Hi, I have an ERA300 and I'm thinking of getting a second one to pair them in stereo. My question is: does it use all the drivers? Is Dolby Atmos disabled? Are there any advantages to pairing them for music in the same room? Thanks

I saw that my surrounds and sub were showing as not connected in the app and were just showing up as “product”. These were all working fine until very recently. The arc is still showing up but nothing else is. There is also no sounds coming from the surrounds when I am watching TV. I tried to reset the system and even did a full factory reset on each component including the arc. I started by re-adding the Sonos 1 SL’s each to the app followed by the sub. That worked fine and they were showing up. After I added the arc everything was still showing up happy in the app. Once I connected the surrounds and the sub to the arc they went back to showing as “product” and not being connected with no sound coming out. How do I fix this? It’s infuriating.

Tried to buy the era 100. Not once but twice, first time I didnt sign in and was after playing with klarna was redirected back to my cart after purchase. So the money came out of my bank account but sonos says the purchase did not go through.Second time I signed in with my account, filled in all the information for shipping ect and went to pay with klarna and the purchase went through and it told me to go back to merchant. I go back to sonos and its literally showing the payment for me to pay again? So I was charged not one but TWICE for something that according to sonos is not an actual order. Just being held by my bank. Honestly so frustrated now I have to wait 30 days to get the money back after disputing with my bank. and will miss this sale and am out @ bunch of money for the next bit. Why have klarna as an option if the website is not properly set up? Don't know what to do honestly

Hello,I noticed the following issues just after upgrading my Ace headphones to the 3.9.9 FWPop artefacts from the ANC when working on my computer, it’s related to the ‘click’ sound of my mouse and to the keyboard keys sound. I get that issue with Adaptative ANC ON and OFF (I’m aware of the well knowed ANC pop artefacts with some specific sounds, but this one only appeard after the update)Audio artefacts when using aptX Adaptative in ‘low latency’ mode, it’s partially fixed by switching the bluetooth connection mode to “multipoint”, but i still get some artefacts from time to time. I’ve already performed a factory reset, but it didn’t help.Is there any where to downgrade the FW to the previous version ?Thank you.

I just want to access the Sonos 1 App using an old Sonos amp but it keeps reverting to the newer app?

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my web-based Morse code tone generator when listening through Sonos headphones and wanted to see if anyone here has experienced something similar. The website generates real-time audio tones in the browser using the Web Audio API. On standard wired headphones connected directly to my PC, everything works perfectly. However, when routing audio through Sonos (either via Bluetooth connection or through a Sonos device using line-in), I’m experiencing noticeable delay and, in some cases, complete silence after a few seconds. The main problem is latency. Morse code timing is very sensitive, and even small delays between dots and dashes make it hard to use for practice. With Sonos headphones, there seems to be a buffering delay that shifts the timing, even though the visual output on the site remains accurate. Occasionally, the audio starts correctly but then cuts out while the browser still shows the signal playing. For context, I’ve tested this in Chrome

We moved and i configured the two sonos moves [version 1) with no issues. My move version 2 doesn't respond

I have changed nothing, have always been able to control volume on arc ultra through my nvidia shield remote and tv remote now after update i can only adjust it from the app when I use the other remotes I get the white light like usual on the soundbar but nothing changes, I hope this bug or issue gets solved quickly as it's annoying to go into the app everytime especially when youtube has a different volume than everything else and I have to adjust a lot

Hi everyone,I’m currently planning out a Sonos system for my new living area and would love some expert eyes on the layout. It's a very open, airy space with a vaulted ceiling and a massive floor-to-ceiling window wall on one side, which I know can be a nightmare for acoustics.I’m trying to figure out the best placement for a cohesive soundstage. Here is the current setup/plan:I’m planning on a soundbar (likely an Arc) under the TV and a subwoofer. As you can see in the photos, the room is quite deep. The "living" area is carved out by the L-shaped sofa, but it flows directly into the dining area and kitchen. The Rear Speaker Dilemma: I’m wondering if I actually need two rear speakers for this space to get a true surround feel, or if they’ll get "lost" given the open layout behind the sofa.Placement: If I do go with rears (like Era 100s or 300s), where on earth do I put them?Putting them on stands behind the sofa seems like the obvious choice, but would they be too close to the listener

Gracias Moderator Edit: Translation by Google Translate-Almost every time I turn on my Sonos, I have trouble getting both speakers to activate. One of them keeps losing its settings, and I have to pair it again. Almost always, only one speaker works, and the other often doesn't. I have to restart the Sonos and even re-enter the Wi-Fi password. Also, is it possible to connect it via Bluetooth? Thanks.

Hi guys. This isn’t a query regarding the arc ultra as such but I’m wondering if anyone is playing MKV files from Infuse Pro. I can get audio via airplay from my MacBook Pro to my Sony Bravia tv/arc ultra but it’s not Atmos. Video will not play at all. I’m obviously missing something (apart from the knowledge what to do) but it’s getting increasingly frustrating. Without getting too technical (as I won’t have a clue) has anyone had similar experiences and/or solutions. Many thanks.

I bought a new tv, Samsung the Fram Pro 2025, and connected it to my Beam 2 using eARC. I also have a Connect:Amp in my system that connects my back speakers to the system plus a Sonos Mini sub. I can´t get Atmos whatever I play on the TV. In the Sonos app I only get Dolby Digital 5.1.  I use the HDMI-cable that came with the Beam 2 and it is connected to the eARC-port on the wireless one connect box.  I have tried Netflix with a Premium account, a Prime and a HBO account and no Atmos. Any ideas what I can do to get it to work?

Hi, hopefully you can help me out here. I was able to connect my Arc, 2 Era 300s and the sub 3 in my network having 2.4ghz with WPA/WPA2 authentication as it is the bare minimum requirement. First step was connect my sub to a room, which is with my Arc. after connecting, it says that the Product is not connected. which is weird.I tried to setup the surround with my 2 Era speakers and Arc, still ended up with the same error message on both Era speakers. I have also added their IP & MAC adresses as dedicated devices under the DHCP list and still got the same error messages and result of not having all of them turned on.. except for the Arc itself.  Basically I did the LAN cable thing and yes it worked but I cannot affort to have my cable running across the floor as it was only a test. I rang up the support which they said its a DHCP issue, which I never had before after their upgrade of my sonos products recently.

Is there a reason that my music library indexing in my Sonos S1 is becoming unreliable?  A couple of months ago, I noticed that new additions to the library were not showing up after indexing.  The bug continues, as I just copied several albums to my NAS drive, indexed the volume, and could not find any of the new items when I searched on any of the criteria (Artist, Song, Composer, Folder, etc.). After a couple of restarts and several re-indexing attempts, some songs/albums appeared in my searches, but not all.  The songs were all from the same copying-over pass, they were all valid tunes from Apple Music, and they were all .m4a files.  Nothing different between them, but some showed up and some didn’t.  I have now restarted my Mac and rebooted the NAS drive again, and done another indexing pass, and, finally, all of my most recent music files appear in my search. So, the question is: why is this happening, and is this the new normal for “old” S1 systems using a NAS? Thanks, steve

The proposal is to allow Sonos Voice Control (SVC) to forward voice commands to an external system via a configurable webhook. When a user issues a voice command containing a specific keyword or prefix (for example, “Home”, “Assistant”, or a custom wake phrase), Sonos would send the recognized text (or resolved intent) to a predefined HTTPS URL.This URL would typically point to Home Assistant, where the command can be processed further. At that level (Home Assistant), users and developers could: Parse the incoming text or intent. Route it to a custom AI/LLM or rules engine. Trigger smart-home automations, scenes, or complex logic. Build a local or hybrid AI assistant tailored to their own smart-home environment. Key characteristics of the idea: No access to Sonos’ internal voice engine is required. Sonos retains full control over wake word detection, speech-to-text, and privacy. Only explicitly opted-in commands (based on keyword or prefix) are forwarded. Communication is one

I purchased the BK 402A and it is not outputting sound through my Sonos soundbar. It seems that the audio output is not working. The equipment I have is: a Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar, an Optoma UHD38x projector, and an Apple TV 4K.I connected the projector to OUT1 (eARC), the Sonos soundbar to INPUT eARC1, and the Apple TV to INPUT 2. The sound is coming out of the projector instead of the soundbar. The eARC button is turned on.From what I have read and understood, everything appears to be connected correctly,

I have several ROAM and ERAs in my home system. One of my ROAM started playing at supper low volume. Maxing it out, either manually or through the app, it doesn't play at even half the volume as other ROAMs in my system. What could the issue be?
