I recently updated the Sonos Apps on my Windows 10 laptop and Android phone. (SONOS's Forced upgrade to version 8.2) Then the Pandora (Standard Account) Thumbs Up/Down buttons are missing. I just used them a few hours ago until the App update. Does anyone notice the same? Any idea why the existing working function is removed by SONOS? Any insight on this issue is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice/feedback. I have a longish rectangular shaped room. At one end, I have two Play 1's mounted (stereo paired) with brackets in the corners (about 15 feet apart). Also in one of the corners, more or less directly below one of the Play1'a is my TV (note :to one side of the room, not in the middle of the room) [img]076bfb8e-a977-471b-961b-f5601b9625f6.jpg[/img] I'm considering getting a Playbase and using the Play1's in conjunction with the Playbase as possessed to using them in a surround type set up. Firstly, do the Play 1's and Playbase compliment each other using them in this way? I realize I won't be getting any surround sound benefits, but I'm not that bothers. Secondly, does the Playbase like open spaces? I've read that in order to get the most from it, it kind of needs to be in smaller spaces so sound can reflect easliy. Thirdly, any suggestions on how minimize issues from the lopsided positioning of the Playone's c

I know you can use Alexa voice control to alter any sonos as it streams music, but can you use it (probably via Echo Plus) to adjust the volume when watching TV? i.e. "Alexa, turn down the TV" once you've established with Alexa you are using the PLAYBASE for the TV sound? This is pretty much all I want Alexa for because as much as I love my playbase, having to: -get my phone out, -unlock it, -open the app, -make sure I'm on the right room, -then turn down the TV Is not ideal.

When I first installed my Sonos it was required all the components be on the same subnet (no routing). I've now grown a more sophisticated routed network at home. is there anything I could run on a linux box to bridge the traffic between 2 subnets so that the sonoses are reachable from either wireless system?

I have two Sonos Play 1 and am getting a Play 3. I was planning on buying an Echo Dot, to use Alexa with it, but then you came out with Sonos One. That made me think twice. Now I am reading that in 2018 you will be integrating Siri to Sonos, and now I really don't know what to do. So I have the following questions: Siri/Airplay related: 1) Will Siri be available on a speaker (like Alexa is currently on Sonos One)? 2) Since Apple doesn't have a stand alone device for Siri (like the Echo Dot), is it fair to assume the Siri commands will be given through an iPhone or iPad? 3) Will Airplay work with all the speakers in the Sonos line, or will it be with a specific model (e.g. Sonos One)? 4) if so, then is it enough having one of them in your home system, or must they all be individually compatible 5) Can I currently tell Siri to play a song using my Sonos speakers? I like the button to disable the microphone on the top of the Sonos One. However, I just bought several of them scattered throughout multiple rooms. It would be really great to have a toggle (e.g. on the Desktop or Mobile apps) that would turn off all the mics. Is there any way to do that?

Setting u p a system in my downtown apartment. Have one at home. Setting up new account for it but after is finds new One on network and i log into new account is says app needs updated. Click on that and opens app store then opens app but no update needed. Stuck in an endless loop. Can't et up system.

Everything was working fine. Then I went away for a week for work came back and Alexa won't play the music in the correct room. I'll say "Hey Alexa, play music in office", it will then say "playing music in office" and start playing the music in the living room. When I look at the app, it shows it's playing in the living room. I will have to then physically stop music in living room and then play music in office. Anyone else having this issue? Just started happening.

Hi All, I am having a problem, that after searching the support community nobody seems to be having so I am hoping you can help. My System Bedroom (2 x Play 1’s set up as a stereo pair) Kitchen (2 x Play 1’s set up as a stereo pair) Portable (1 x Play 5) Living Room (1 x Playbar, 1 x Subwoofer, 2 x Play 3’s set as surrounds) I have 3 echo dots, one in the Living room, bedroom and kitchen. I have set up my sonos system on the Alexia app and all rooms are seen in the devices section of the app and all account linking went as it should have. When a ask Alexia to play music in the Bedroom or on Portable all voice commands work as they should but if I ask Alexa to play music in the kitchen or the living room she replies in exactly the same way as for the Bedroom or Portable but no music plays. I might be jumping the gun here, but I want to have my ducks in a row in advance. My Sonos collection is growing fast. Started with a 5 a couple of weeks ago, added a Play a week later and now according to UPS tracking, I will be receiving my Sonos 5.1 system tomorrow. Everything seems to be incredibly simple to set up, but I am not sure of one thing. I will be adding another Sonos 5 for a stereo system in the same room as the home theatre. How do I get the subwoofer (only) to play with my two Sonos 5 speakers setup as a separate stereo system? As an aside, I will be adding the second 5 as soon as I get the 5.1 system set up.

Hi all, I currently have a DAB radio connected to a connect amp via line in. The connect amp is grouped with a couple of other speakers / connect amps so when the DAB radio is turned on it is played in all zones. I note this has a built in amplifier so I presume the speakers would need to connect to this unit? Do I therefore need a sonos connect? And if so what would the connections need to be? I was planning to get another connect amp for a new zone but if I could get a connect instead and use my current connect amp elsewhere it I would be cheaper. Is it possible to use a connect amp with this new input? I'm currently re-wiring my house and hoping to put the connect or connect amp some distance from the speakers/input unit. But can't seem to

I have 2 Play 1's in pair as my 'living room', 1 Sonos One as 'bedroom sonos', and 1 Sonos One as 'bathroom sonos'. Right now i am noticing that when i physically touch the button to lower the volume of one group speaker it only turns down that groups volume when i am playing the same music on all 3 groups. Before i got my Sonos One's i had my 2 Play 1's setup as 2 groups: 'living room' and 'bathroom'. I feel i can distinctly remember that when i played the same song on both the physical volume would turn down the music together. Am i wrong? Has this been the way it works all along and i am wrong? Do you have to use the app exclusively to turn down the volume on all the groups by the same amount?

I setup the new Alexa beta and everything linked properly. I restarted speakers so everything should be all set. But when I try and start Sonos initially, Alexa tells me that "XX room is not responding". If I go directly to the Sonos app and start the player that way, I can get Alexa to at least recongnize the player. The issue I am having at this point is if I say "alexa, play "fill in the blank" in XX room", alexa will respond that it will play it but the sonos player will just resume whatever I manually started. I can't get it to change music at all. All I get is the ability to start whatever I was last playing. Hope this makes sense. I know the beta is only 5 minutes old but hoping someone can help!

Hello. I want to buy wireless speakers that I can connect wirelessly to play audio from a smart TV. Can the Play:1 or the Sonos One do this without me needing to buy a soundbar also?

I’m using an Echo Dot with a couple of Sonos Play 1’s, I cant however get Alexa to play Spotify on my Play 1’s. Alexa just returns “Spotify is not supported on this device” If I start my Spotify stream from the Sonos or Spotify App then Alexa can control volume and track but I can’t control by artist, album or playlist Should this work or is it just a case of waiting for a Sonos update?

Can any of you good people tell me.....one why can’t I play Apple Music form Alexa dot via Sonos if playing Apple music at the moment it is not possible does anybody know when it will be I’ve successfully linked my Sonos to my echo.but cannot get anything to play via the Alexa.

Is there a way to tell alexa to play music in multiple locations? I guess I am asking if there is a voice grouping option.

I heard that I can now associate my echo dot to my living room group so I don’t have to specify which room to play music in. So I can just say “play music” rather than “Play music in living room”. Is this true? When I look at the ‘living room’ group in the Alexa app, Sonos doesn’t show up as a device so I can’t add it to the group, even though sonos and Alexa are all connected and working well, albeit by having to specify the room name, which is frankly convoluted given I only have one Sonos room in my home. Please help.

2 days ago I set up two Sonos 1 plays in one room. All ok until I began the Trueplay part. SONOS app needs to get permission to access the iPad microphone. The app did not appear in the “Settings / Privacy / Microphone” section. I have created submitted this to SONOS support but have not heard from them for 48 hours - help!

Hi, I have two play 3 coupled in a stereo pair. I am planning to buy two stand to position them at the correct high but I would like to know which orientation is best: vertical or horizontal? I just read that play 3 in vertical can only produce mono sound. Can you clarify this? Thanks
