s2 App and Beam
My S2 app has been giving me “unable to connect” error messages for about a month now. We’ve had our two beams and S2 app working fine for months, even after the ios14 update. However for whatever reason, the app decided to unrecognize both our beams and we’ve had to re-connect our beams to the app. We did this process yesterday and everything worked fine. Today, I went into the app to find that neither one of my beams were on the app and I had to re-connect them again. Anyone have this issue and what can we do to fix it? It’s quite annoying given the price tags of these products.
LPCM update sound drop out?
Since this update dropped ive started having random sound drop outs, this happens randomly and i wouldnt say frequently maybe a couple of times in an hour and its only for a fraction of a second but its very frustrating. I can only assume its due to the lpcm update as when i listen to anything from an atmos or digital source it doesnt happen. Was wondering if anyone else had had this or if it were just me. Using through shield and xbox series xIm using the arc with an arcana, but as it had no problems before this update i can only guess its this.
Subs Connecting, then dropping off network
Hi all,I’m at the end of technical expertise with these damn Subs!! My setup is: 2 x Amps2 x Subs (Gen2)1 x Move1 x BoostConnected to WIFI6 EAX80 Nighthawk via Hardwired ethernet to Boost4 x Sonos in ceiling architectural speakers The problem I’m having is maintaining a connected to either of the Subs. The Amps are setup in my garage about 30metre/300ft away from the sub and boost. Connected to 2 Samsung 2020 model TV’s via ARC HDMI. The Amps work fine with the TV and the Speaker. I cannot get a connect to either Subs. I’ve tried factory resetting so many times that I've probably worn out the connection button - They are found, connected then drop off (the little spanner and then the question mark next to the AMP. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way of hardwiring to each Sub to each AMP? Maybe via ethernet? Diagnostic confirmation number: 833572544
Beam sync button not working.
New Sonos Beam delivered today-Yay 😁however although the app finds the beam-nothing happens when the sync button is pressed-the chiming just goes on but nothing else happens. I’m sure we have tried everything-I shall have to get in touch with Sonos tomorrow to explain and get a faulty/return code for me to send back to the BT Shop-why is nothing ever simple 😩. Just thought I would post this here in case anyone had experienced the same or had an idea what we maybe doing wrong-many thanks.
Sonos Beam -input audio over HDMI from AV receiver (non-ARC)
I’m wanting to input audio into my Beam over HDMI, but not using HDMI ARC from my TV. i intend to use the Beam in addition to my Sony AV receiver home cinema set up, so the TVs HDMI ARC is already in use. I’ve connected the TV’s optical to the Beam using the adaptor, but the audio is out of sync with the receiver’s audio. So, I want to feed audio into the Beam from the AV receiver’s 2nd HDMI output instead. Is that possible? It could be that the audio sync issue is due to signal processing delays in the receiver, but won’t know for sure until I try it over HDMI. The audio delay is the reason why I got rid of the Sonos Connect, the audio was out of sync with the other Sonos speakers due to AV receiver signal processing delays.
Beam for TV + My Existing Play:1s and Sub (Connect:Amp)
I’m looking to have sound from my Samsung Frame TV play through my existing Sonos network of speakers (a paired set of Play 1’s and a subwoofer that I’ve got connected through a Connect:Amp). If I get a Beam and have it connected to my TV - can I have it also ‘grouped’ with my existing ‘Family Room’ group (Play 1s + Sub)?
Add Play:1 to new Playbar
I have several Sonos products, and have just purchased a Playbar. I have connected my Playbar to my TV, and have two Play:1 speakers in the room behind the couch. When I try to ‘Set Up Surrounds’ to my Playbar, it keeps asking me if I want to add my Sonos Amp, which is in use in another part of the house. What do I need to do to get the Playbar and Play:1s to work together.I have tried everything; resetting, powering down Sonos Amp, and reinstalling the Playbar, with no success. Any help is appreciated.
Playbar Setup - connect to Sonos named wifi first?
I have Sonos in four rooms in my house so I am quite familiar with the workings. I went to a friends last night and they have a Playbar that they purchased with the house. We struggled to get S2 to find it. I finally realized that his phone needed to be a SONOS named SSID that I suppose the Playbar has to connect to his wifi. I don’t recall that with any of my newer products, and I can’t find ANY mention of it here on the support pages or in the community. Just in case we need to troubleshoot again for example if we change his wifi SSID, is this normal and where is the Sonos documentation on it? Thank you. Michael
Sonos Sub and Play:1 not joining Beam
Hi,Since a while now I have problems with my home cinema setup. One day I figured out that the setup of my Sonos Beam, Sub and 2 Play:1 was listed as Living Room (?+?+?) and the Sub as well as the two Play:1 didn’t have any IP on the WiFi network anymore. So I decided to remove the three speakers from Beam. This did work, but the speakers didn’t show up as standalone anymore and I still didn’t see any speaker gathering an IP. So I decided to reset all speakers, including Beam and rejoin them into the WiFi network. Now they all have an IP again. So I tried to connect the Sub to the Beam again. Suddenly it time out/fails to join and I get an error and offer to retry. Retrying doesn’t help. The sub is Now part of the Beam group but gone from WiFi again (no more IP) and marked as ?. Same for the Play:1 if I try.So, I tried to remove them again. Removing is not an issue. And I figured out that waiting for a while, the speaker gets an IP again, without resetting each time.Retrying a couple of t

Sonos Arc crackle
Arc connected to LG B9 TV with x2 Play 1s and sub…..all works perfectly with films on Apple and Amazon (accessed via Apple 4K TV box). But, when listening to music from Apple, Amazon and Tune-In radio via the Sonos app I get a very loud constant crackle on the Arc. All other speakers in the group work perfectly. Listening to Apple Music through the app on Apple 4K TV box works perfectly too.
Sonos One SL not accessible through Airplay 2
Hello, i am unable to connect sonos One SL through airplay mode. I can acces my sonos five without a problem. The sonos one SL does show up as a choice but then i get the ‘unable to connect’ error. Weird thing is. When i use spotify i am able to select and play both on ios/macos. If i use the sonos app to select both while ios/macos music is playing i am able to group them. But not from the music app. It still gives me the airplay error. Any suggestions?
Newbie question - Arc + Amp + Sub Wifi
I have an Arc connected to the TV’s eARC (via HMDI). I want to add an AMP to drive two existing speakers in the ceiling and a sub-woofer to the system. Can I connect the AMP and SUB via wireless? I don’t want to run additional wires to the TV. Will this work correctly?
Can I place sonos Arc in corner of the room and still achieve Dolby atmos effect?
This is my first Sonos purchase. As you can see, I must utilize the corner space for TV and sound bar since the house came with that hole:). I placed the Arc below TV and somehow feel I am not getting desired effect. Will the speaker on the side of the Arc properly bump the sound in closed space for Dolby atmos effect? or should the arc definitely place only in the center of the living room to get the Dolby Atmos effect?
Nightmare setup and sound dropout with Sonos arc surround sound

I a, at the point where I think this needds to go back as I am past caring with trying to resolve. I have spent a fortune and am listening to my tv through these tv speakers which is insane. Help with Sonos one disconnecting
Hi. I’m new to the community and need a little help. ive got a one and one xl as a stereo pair. (Plan on adding a beam Black Friday if I can get this issue sorted) it’s getting to be a regular weekly occurance now where one of my speakers is dropping out (most common is the one xl but Alexa still works but only plays audio through the one). in system my set up it shows as ?+L. to get it back connected I have to fully reset both speakers and fully reinstall the full system and re add all of my service which is becoming massively annoying now! ive locked my WiFi channel. Tried 1, 6, now on 11 but seems to be making no difference at all. use sky hub router which I know uses the skyq box as a booster which could be an issue I’ve not found a resolution for both speakers are approx 12 feet from my router and 6 feet apart. and both connected wirelessly. ive submitter a diagnostics report tonight 1912550822hopefully ive covered everything and thanks I advance
