I cannot manage to connect my sonos ray with my infrared remote from TCL. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have a new Apple TV 4K (2022 third generation) and a Sonos Playbar. Despite setting the Apple TV to use IR, rebooting the ATV remote and going through the Sonos TV setup, I cannot reliably control the Playbar volume. Each time I turn the ATV on, I can only decrease the volume; if I visit the ATV Remote settings, I can increase the volume and use the mute button. The remote is certainly working as pressing the volume up button flashes an LED on the ATV - it’s just not being reliably recognised by the Playbar.

After latest update my surround speakers have semi disappeared by which I mean they don’t work (but I can still start/stop playback and change volume on the beam using the physical units). The beam shows no surrounds in app but they do show as surrounds under Sonos system info.  I also can no longer find the settings for managing what the surrounds should do when it’s not surround sound supported audio. Wanted to check that wasn’t a problem.I genuinely can’t believe updates are still causing problems. What are they spending all these millions on?!I can just about remember when using Sonos was a joy but the memory is fading. Anyone got any suggestions? (Please don’t suggest calling support that isn’t helpful). 

Dear SONOS Enthusiasts,I plan to purchase and install SONOS equipment to create a surround sound home theater in my living room, which measures 16x24 ft (please see the attached layout). Given the Samsung OneConnect HDMI ARC already wired to the SONOS Amplifier, I have two specific questions:Can I connect the SONOS Sound Bar to the TV via HDMI, as shown in the attached figure? Can the SONOS SUB connect to the amplifier wirelessly over Wi-Fi?If the answers to both questions are yes, will I be able to create a surround sound system with both wired and wireless connections?Thank you for your assistance!Best,CJ  

Hi. I have a system with multiple Era 100s, and a new Beam (gen2). I have the Beam in a group with the other speakers for music, and when I watch TV it disconnects from the group to work standalone as a soundbar.Is there a way for the Beam to automatically reconnect to the group so I don't have to manually re-add it every time I've watched TV? Thanks!

Hello Community, I am renovating my house and am planning to have a TV in 2 rooms that have in ceiling speaker, which are connected to a Sonos AMP. Those AMPs are in the utility room that is about 40 feet away.I want to make sure that I can connect the TVs to the AMPs for sound output. I read in other threads that an optical fiber HDMI would be best.Questions:1. Can anyone recommend a good optical fiber eARC HDMI?I found those so far:

I am getting very frustrated with Sonos products.  I have a home theater with Sonos Arc, two Sonos One SL’s and a Sub.  The Sub and Surround speakers only work properly when I hard wire the sub to my network switch even though it says wireless enabled.  Once I disconnect the ethernet cable the sub and surround speakers stop working.  I have all Aruba Airgroup Services turned on. Any recommendations?  I have reset and started over over 12 times. I have powered off and powered on everything including the router.   

Mini Sub connectivity issue: I have a Arc and 2 Era 300s as surrounds in my living room. The mini sub was connected to this, I moved it to my bedroom and connected to a pair of Era 100s. After a few days I shifted it back to my living room but have not been able to connect to the Arc system. I am not new to Sonos, have used them for more than 10 years. Have tried every thing including resetting the Arc and Era300s, resetting the Wi-Fi, but nothing seems to work. The Arc and surrounds are working fine but the Sub is not connecting to the Arc. The app goes to try again twice and then says done, but no connection. Pl help me sort it out, very frustrating! 

I bought a Beam 2 seven month ago, and the last couple of months the Beam is developing a tinny metalic sound in talking/voice sounds (playing music is still fine, but I think other frequencies are used there,  I am sure there is technical / scientific explanation for it). I am having issues when I am watching anything with atmos I am experiencing echo through all the speakers. I have unplugged the arc and plugged it back in but still doing it. I have a arc x 2 era 300s and x2 subs can anyone help cheers 

I’m using a furète max 4K as audio and video source. It is connected to my tv on hdmi2.1 port. The tv is set for audio pass through on hdmi arc. The hdmi arc is connected to the Sonos arc. There is audio but in the Sonos app it has no audio in source listed and only stereo pcm is playing. If I rewire everything but use an onkyo tx-nr555 as source with the Max connected to an hdmi 2.2 on the amp, I get full spatial, hd and atmos. Why not with the max and arc by themselves?

I have spent hundreds of pounds on the system from Sonos. I have two Era 100 speakers which constantly disappear from my network and app, and do not connect to the Sonos Beam 2nd gen. I have tried everything at least three times, and the Beam still does not see the Era 100s (stereo) on the app and in my system. I don’t really understand how the Sonos people can sell faulty products with a non-working app and pretend that they are high-end products. This is rubbish! I think I am going to ask for a full refund! They have also changed the streaming quality  in my opinion on the older speakers to make you upgrade, as they do not sound as good as they used to! do you guys expirience the same????Class action, anyone?

Hi, my current setup for Home System 1 arc 1sub and 2 Era300. I want to add turntable to my current system what is the best option? Add a port, Amp or use my current system.My Era had been disabled for line in. What the best recommendation for pro-ject turntable.

Hallo, I have a problem, my speaker Sonos playbase makes a short repetitive beeping sound. I can't find on the internet what this means.The speaker is also not found by the app. Holding the connection button did not give any results.Hope somebody familiar with this problem and can help  

Hi. I’m using the latest ATV which is connected to Hisense U7KAU via hdmi. The tv is connected via the earc port to a Sonos Beam gen1. The Beam, along with a mini sub and era100 speakers are used for surround sound. ATV sound is set to DD5.1 and TV is set to passthrough audio.  While watching a show via the ATV, the sound will suddenly go weird for 5-10 seconds. I can still make out what’s being said on the show during this period, but clearly having a moment. The sound comes right again after the 5-10 seconds and the show continues. Also, and this is by far the biggest and most regular issue - turning the tv/ATV on or starting a show on any of the streaming apps on ATV, the tv will suddenly show ‘white ants’ (also known as ‘white noise’ or ‘black and white static’). This doesn’t happen every single time I watch tv, only about 30-40% of the time.The only way to get things back to normal is to power cycle the ATV, TV and Sonos, all at the s

I have beam gen2 with surrounds etc and apple tv 4k. Up until a day or 2 ago (suspicious of the latest sonos app update from a few days ago) if i have a netflix or disney+ content that is just 5.1 and if my apple tv set to dolby atmos - i used to get on my  sonos app multichannel 5.1 and i didnt like that because the dialogue was almost always a bit more quiet like this. So i always went to setting and switched to dolby digital 5.1 in apple tv audio aettings and i was getting 5.1 on sonos app.if i do the same now - i get stereo pcm. I am so confused. Am i missing something - anyone else having the same issue ?

When a few products are grouped all is fine all is well then a product cuts out but shows it’s playing. I remove it from the group and play and it’s ok but when regrouped no sound can be played. It’s quite frustrating and I’m really considering selling the sonos and getting another system. Too many issues. 

I have a Samsung TV. Audio set to Dolby Atmos. Shows EArc. I have Now TV uktra boost, which supports Dolby atmos. I play a show through there and the arc shows Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0. Is this atmos?

Dear Sonos team,i placed the Sub Gen 3 in the corner between the wall and the TV cabinet. The distance between the TV stand and the wall is 43.5 cm. In practice, the Sub is positioned in the center of that distance. Is the position correct? Or is it better to always keep it in that space but a little more towards the outside? So that the two acoustic ports of the sub have a little more "breath".However i am very happy with how the sub works, the bass is spectacular.Good job

I have a solid red status light on ARC after update.Reboot and attempt at factory reset have the same result. 2 slow white flashes on the status light followed by the speaker light flash, this sequence loops a few times then solid red.I have tried factory reset with ethernet cable connected as well. SONOS chat support was not help after 2 hrs waiting for responses. any help please??  

Hello,I have an extensive SONOS system throughout my home and an Arc+2-ones+sub in the living room. The issue first occurred 5-6 weeks ago while an Amazon playlist was playing at a reasonable volume with 4 rooms grouped.It happened again 3-4 weeks ago and it was also on an Amazon Playlist with 4 rooms including arc grouped.  At this point, I assumed that it was a song with an issue.  It was annoying and creepy but I'd eventually be able to find/remove the song from my playlist.It happened again today while listening to an apple Playlist and I know for a fact it was a different song.It took me until today to realize the sound is emanating from the arc(because the sound is so loud it sounds like its coming from everywhere including inside my brain).  For a random period of I'd say is 5-8 seconds, a loud metallic, alien, and haunting sound comes out of the living room sonos which has the arc.  The volume of the sound is inconsistent with the volume of

I’ve got my surround system set up as described.What I’ve done so far is to use the settings to adjust the distance of the Threes in the app. There is no perceivable difference in sound balance when I do.I have two surround choices: - Beam plus 2Ones - Beam plus 2Threes (current)The Threes are louder than the Beam and I can’t hear the Beam very well. I know the sound is somewhat balanced but it’s hard to tell.I don’t want to set up the Ones, just because, then all three components have mics. I can then separate the Ones in to two further groups.How do I balance the Beam with the Threes.

Randomly, but more often than not, my Beam is muted when I turn on my new TCL TV. The only way to unmute it is through the Sonos app. I am connected via eARC. Once unmuted all is well.
