I plan to use Arc Ultra with Sonance Architectural in wall speakers for rears (connected to a Sonos Amp). Do the Arc and Amp have to be hardwired, or will it run wirelessly (including Dobly ATMOS)?If I have to hardwire, can I hardwire to a switch that is connected to a Google Wifi access point (that is hardwired to a router).  

I have the following, 4X Era 100 Beam ,Gen 2, and a sub gen 5running of an LG OLED TV. is there a way I can get 5.1 from this?

I have a Beam Gen 2, Sub Mini, and two Era 100s as a surround sound system. Unfortunately, the Era 100s are not working properly, and the sound is too quiet even at maximum volume. They are not noticeable at all. I am quite disappointed. The Era 100 sound is strong, but not as surround sound. I am unsure how to fix that, or if the Sonos team can fix the issue. From my perspective, the Era 100 sound is fantastic and more than enough for surrounds if they perform properly when assigned to the room.

Hi there,I've got a question regarding my setup, in which I'm trying to integrate a projector, streaming device, HDMI audio splitter, and Sonos Amp. I can't get the Amp to recognize ARC input...Devices: Viewsonic PX701-4K projector (2x HDMI input, only 3.5mm output) Apple TV 4K (have also tried Xiaomi Box S) FeinTech VSP01222 HDMI splitter (2x HDMI Input, 1x HDMI output, 1x HDMI ARC output) Sonos Amp The idea is simple, basically like illustrated in the screenshot I found on Google. Connect Apple TV to splitter, send ARC output to Amp, send regular HDMI to projector. But like I said, the Amp won't recognize ARC input.The one thing I'm not sure about is if all my cables are at least HDMI 1.4, which I believe is the minimum required for ARC. But seeing as 1.4 was first released in 2009, I'm assuming this isn't the issue.I've also read about using an HDMI splitter with Opti

Hi I just bought 2 sonos era 300 to pair with my sonos arc as rear surround speakers. I am taking a picture from the POV of my TV. My wife preferably wants to wall mount the speakers. Would blue or red be better? How far away from the couch should the speakers be and how high should they be? Thanks!

I’ve been holding on to my Playbase since 2017 because I not only love the sound of it (it outperformed the Beam Gen 2 + Sub mini when I tested them side by side), but it was also a significant investment. However, I’ve run into a few problems. First, I can’t connect it to my new ERA 100s in order to use them as surrounds, because they’re not compatible with the playbase, which means I’ve lost the ability that my old Play 1 speakers provided. Second, it doesn’t have Dolby Atmos or eARC. And now I’ve run into a 3rd problem. It won’t play sound when I connect it to my new projector, even when I use an HDMI audio extractor box with an optical out, which would normally be the solution. To ensure the problem was indeed with the Playbase and not with the projector, the converter box, or the cable, I connected my spare Samsung soundbar to it and it worked perfectly. I can only imagine it’s an issue with an outdated chip in the Playbase. Does anyone know a fix for this?  

Arc soundbar - dialogue sound does NOT match the mouths of the actors.  Dialogue Sync does not resolve the problem.  Seems to be ahead or behind on any of the available settings.  Anyone else experiencing this.  Tell me I’m not alone.   side note:  attempted the latest WiFi update to see if it would help, it found the first speaker and identified it as a Move 2.  I don’t have a Move 2.  Ones, Arc, Subwoofers, and an older soundbar (I can’t remember the name), but no Move 2.  Aborted.  Hahahaha sigh. 

Does anyone get Dolby Atmos on the Arc Ultra when streaming YouTube?I try the Atmos demos, and they play as Dolby Digital Plus 2.0. I do get Atmos when streaming Netflix.

I have An Arc Ultra two Era 300 surrounds and a Sub 4. I also have a LG G4 OLED TV, Nvidia Shield, Roku Ultra 2024, and a Oppo UDP-203 Blu-Ray player with an OREI 4K HDMI Audio Extractor for eARC HDA-929.Problem: Audio from the left or right surround flutters on/off at random from either surround speaker. It does the from the LG G4 TV, the Blu-Ray player, the Roku, and the Nvidia Shield. I tested it on each device with a YouTube 5.1 Surround check video as well as other adios tests there. I checked the Blu-Ray player the Avia Guide to Home Theater DVD. The problem is reproducible on all of these devices. The Era 300 Surround speakers are using Wi-Fi, while the Arc Ultra is using Ethernet.Note that the on/off fluttering occurs at random to either surround speaker.

My sonos won't connect no more with myTv. All cables are right connected, i've restarted all systems, but no sound out the tv.Sonos Radio does work properly..What am I doing wrong? 

I have a Beam Gen 2. When I turn on the TV, there is no sound for about 3 minutes, then it's fine. Is this normal?

Hi all! When we are grouping Beam gen 2 + 2 Era 100 we have no sound on one Era… Each product is working individually and also when they are bonded as surrounds for Beam. The only issue is when grouping the 3 products. We are grouping rooms for regular playback, not for the TV sound.Could this problem be related to some router settings eventually?

Hi I bought a Samsung QES95 2 months ago - initially my Sonos Arc worked fabulously with the system, however over the last 5 days the Sonos will not connect through the HMDI arc… Samsung have tried to reset the TV remotely and they too have failed to keep the Sonos Arc linked.  Samsung are looking in to this issue but suggested I contact Sonos to see if this a more wider problem that just my TV.  Grateful for any feedback that anyone has on this TV and Sonos Arc.  Thank you.

I have a Beam, Sub Mini, Panasonic OLED, SkyQ Mini Box and a Playststion 5 plugged in to the TV.  Occasionally when we turn the TV on or PlayStation on we get no sound from the Sonos at all.  We end up taking the HDMI out of the back of the Beam and back in again to resolve it.  Any suggestions to resolve this anyone? Thanks.

Hello…. Just moved into a house that has an Arc, as well as an amp. Did factory resets/transferred ownership to me no issues. Now I’d like to add my mini-sub. Went through the same process, minus the transfer, says it’s connected to the system, but will NOT get assigned to the room group w the Arc ¿compatibility issue? It’s seems to drop from the system now as well. No router/connection interference that I can tell. Thanks for all input!

I have an Arc, Sub and 2xFives as a surround system for watching movies in the same room.Will adding a Port allow me to listen to CD player via these speakers?  I have seen conflicting posts about Arc and Port compatibility, hence asking the question direct.Yes, I know the Fives have a port allowing CD connection, but the stands block access and they are the wrong end of room.

I just got an lg g4 tv and can not connect the tv to the sound bar.   It appears the hdmi arc setting selected on the tv reverts back to a tv speaker setting when I try to connect the tv thru the app.  very frustrated  

I have a system based on: Beam + a couple (front) of Sonos One directly connected to Beam + a couple of Sonos One in the rear.When I switch on the TV only Beam and front couple are automatically activated. To activate the rear couple I need to use the app.Any suggestion to fix it?thanks

Sonos beam works with the WiFi but the two SL speakers do not 

Hi gang,I currently have Arc Ultra, 2 x Era 300 and Sub Gen 1.I’m trying to decide if its worth upgrading to the Sub Gen 4? Having spoken to some retailers, they have said that it wont really make too much difference from a sound perspective.If theres not a tangible difference, I’m going to stick with Sub Gen 1 but wanted to hear the thoughts of the community.Thanks ER86

Is there a way to get Dolby atmos working with no distortion in night mode using the streaming apps on Xbox?

Projector in small basement room.  wanting to invest in soundbar (either arc or beam gen2). there's no way to put the sound bar below the projector screen as its up most of the time.   Can I mount the soundbar to the ceiling above the mounted screen?  would this distort the sound? have it the wrong direction or can I mount it to ceiling with pivots to slightly adjust toward the viewer. Thank you for you help and any guidance. 

Hi,I just got an ARC (non-ultra) with my new LC C4 TV.ARC plugged into eARC (TV) and ethernet (Comcast router home network), and 2x Era 100 speakers added as surround (wifi to Comcast router)Sometimes the surround sounds very good - but often, there are phasing/echo/pulsing sounds through the surround speakers. It seems like it occurs when a new signal is sent, like if the surrounds join in with music in the audio track… it then smooths out a bit.My guess would be that every time a surround element is sent to the speakers, they have to catch up once again and it takes a few seconds, Any help appreciated!
