We have a Sound Bar on one TV and Roams, One's etc everywhere.  Very happy.  In our lounge we have an outdated B&O AV receiver, woofers, tweeters, cables everywhere, giving us 5.1 surround.  I am looking at updating this to Sonos also.  I think the Arc is what I'm after, but what other bits do I need to replicate the current 5.1 surround, or better?    Thanks, Kate

I have a pair of Sonos ARC 300s and a Gen 2 sub in a Garden room (well more like a Shed really!).  I have tried Apple Spatial music through these and, whilst I sounds great, I was not blown away. In my lounge I have a Playbase and two Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers as surrounds.  I rarely listen to music with this set up as I don’t like the sound.  I have tried both Full and Ambient music settings and they are not for me.  So if I want to listen to Music I go to the Cabin.  It was -2C in there yesterday! I recently received an Apple TV box from a friend who was not using it, and have connected it up to my TV/Playbase.  Works well.Anyway I thought I’d set up the Apple Music app on the Apple TV box just to check it worked.  Out of curiosity I thought I’d check to see how spatial Audio sounded on this Non Atmos set up. WOW, just WOW.  The Spatial tracks come alive. The music no longer concentrated at the Playbase but fills the room.  I could swear Roger Taylor drums were set up on our Coffe

As it says in the title - does anyone know why they won’t allow this? It seems to me to be the dream set up, so I can’t begin to understand why Sonos haven’t jumped all over this! My current surround set-up is a JBL 9.1 with fully wire free (ie they are rechargeable and operate via wifi)  rear speakers, and it’s a brilliant system

The TV has switched on with the Apple Remote, the input defaults to HDMI 1 and audio plays out the soundbar be default.Issue2 weeks ago, this all stopped. Whenever I turn the TV on with the Apple TV remote and use the AppleTV apps the Samsung Tv no longer sees the Sonos Beam and defaults to TV Speaker.WorkaroundThe only way to fix it is by switching off the Beams power disconnecting the HDMI and reconnecting, the TV then sees the Beam again, reinitialises the connection and continues to play audio from the Beam.As soon as I switch the tv off again… later that day, turn it back on and I have to repeat the same process. CEC isn’t being disabled and no config is changing in the TV settings, it

Hi. I recently purchased a HDMI splitter from Maplin MP code SEECS2P. My set up consists of a virginmedia set top box as the input, feeding a Samsung smart tv in the bedroom and a Sony smart tv in the lounge. This set up works perfectly however I have a Sonos arc connected to the lounge tv and a Sonos beam connected to the bedroom tv. When both are connected they report that they are disabled due to communications issues with them, when only one is connected they work perfectly. Any ideas?

Hello I have recently bought the full home theater setup: Arc, subwoofer, 300s to pair with a traditional rear room projector. I'm using a Roku as the source and a switch to separate and preserve the Dolby Atmos audio signal. I have a choice to place the Roku and switch at either the front of the room near the Arc or at the rear of the room near the projector and run a cable between the two for either audio or video transmission depending on the location of the Roku/switch. Locating the Roku/switch at the rear of the room adjacent to the projector is a cleaner visual approach (no extra equipment near the screen) and is my preference but I'd like to know if there are any concerns or problems running a 25-30 foot HDMI cable from the source to the Arc?

Hello!I am a newbie to Sonos, having shed an old Samsung soundbar (which was terrible!).  I have just ordered the Arc, and will soon complement with 2 x Era 100s (or 300s if my budget stretches!) and later the sub. I’ve gone round in circles trying to decide on the best configuration and it would be great to have more experienced help!My TV (Sony Bravia, 4k) has eARC, but it doesn’t have enough HDMI inputs (I need for Apple TV, consoles FireStick, Virgin media box, DVD player).  My plan is:TV to Arc via eARC  Inputs > HDMI switch > one of the my TV’s HDMI inputsI want to maximise audio and display quality so will look for a HDMI switch with minimum 4k and Dolby Atmos pass through.  I’ve seen posts about Feintech, HDFury (expensive, great reviews, but I don’t think I need because I have eARC), Kinovo etc.  A couple of questions:Does this config make sense? What HDMI switch would you recommend (to maximise the capability of my Arc)?Big thanks!!

I’ve just set up my new ray soundbar and I’m finding the television remote will only turn the volume up, but not down?

Hi All.Recently purchased the Beam 2 to go with my LG C2. The sound bar is great but was a hassle to setup. At first the two devices couldn’t establish an ARC connection. Which I found a fix was to power everything down, remove all the HDMI connections, power back up and start the TV Setup process through the Sonos app, which in turn solved the issue. However the connection issue seems to be happening again randomly, so I have to do the above process all over again which can become tedious.Wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing the same issue and if they have a fix for it.Thanks in advance.

I can’t get audio to play from my Samsung Frame TV to my Sonos Beam (Gen 2).  My connection is HDMI from the TV to the Beam. Do I need to connect to from the TV to the One Connect Box instead?  (P.S. I tried looking for answers on here and I don’t think this has been covered, but apologies if I missed it.)

Hi there. If I install my Sonos Ones on the celing for surround will they automatically come on with the TV then turn off when streaming music only ?I don't want my guests having to turn the Ones on for TV then off for music  as they won't have the app on their phones

Im currently building my home theater sys with Sony Bravia 65 A80L  Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, SL 100 and just added 2 Era 300. All of my devices are hardwired except for the Era 300 due to the placement, Wall mounted 8 feet from the floor. Once i got everything firing fine, switched to surround then the  stuttering  (pulsing )  sound coming from the 300s every 5 seconds, otherwise zero sound issues outside of Surround. After several hours of troubleshooting, power cycles, tweaking settings in the app and factory reset, all to no avail so then i started restoring the 300s back into my system but  accidently left the ethernet cable attached to the speakers. The setup process recognized the hardwire connection and also gave the option to connect for Wi-Fi. I proceeded with the hardwire connection and that solved the stuttering  sound issue. I guess the system does not like having it’s devices split between wireless and hard wire connections. BTW, there might be an issue with the software indi

Hi guys,   I just bought the Sonos Arc and the new Sub Gen 3 and I paired them with 2 Sonos One (Gen 1) speakers for the surround setup. Yesterday I noticed that while idling and playing, there are some tiny constant crackling/static/electric current sounds coming from the brand new Sub and I found it quite irritating. So what I did first was to make sure that the connection with the power cord is secure, which it was. Then I tried to remove the Sub from the group, factory reset it and added it back to the system. But the same issue persists. I don’t suppose this is normal, right? Does anyone has a similar issue with the new Sub? I’ve checked my Sonos Arc, One and Beam and none of them has this issue. Since I just bought it from Best Buy last week, should I return it and get a new one to see if it’s something wrong with the one I’ve got?  It’s not a cheap device and I don’t want to compromise on its quality.   Thank you all!

Before Christmas I bought a new sonos system, arc , gen 3 sub, 2 era 100 de sub is still not connected inspite of paid expert installation….what a terrible product and waste of money…..the help line is absolutely useless

Set up Sonos Ray using Sonos app for iPhone. During a friend party we used it as standalone player (without connecting to TV). we were using Spotify via Sonos app but - when we have  reached 100% of max volume -  sound was intense but very low for the power of this soundbar (I can make the same volume with a portable small speaker like Bose) is this normal ??

So, ive seen a few comments about green flashing lights when surround speakers are turned off. Surely this could he fixed in a software update? Sometimes u don't want them on and just want to use the sound bar for regular tv, or is this me being weird? What could be the point of them, I mean I know that they are off as I have just pressed the button that says surrounds off!! Unless sonos have shares in black tape which as far as i can see is the only way to stop them! 🤔

Hey Sonos Staff, many of your customers have Playbars on walls that are wallpapered or made of brick, stone, etc.  when you make a product that you cant upgrade to due to not being able to cover old drilled holes to accommodate YOUR product, you leave us no choice other than to keep our existing Playbars.  I have tried every which way to make this work but cant sit there with visible holes in the wall. You should provide a way to upgrade and accommodate existing templates.

I know people reported mounting them upside down near the ceiling with good results. In my case I have windows that go up to the ceiling. I'm wondering if I can achieve the same by hanging them upside down from the ceiling.

So I have an Arc + Sub gen3 + Symfonisk Bookshelves Gen 2 for surrounds. For Christmas I received 3 Era 100s (1 is being used as a line in for a turntable) and was wondering if it was worth swapping the other 2 of them in as surrounds and using the Symfonisks elsewhere. I know the Era 100s are better, and would also technically move my HT system from a 5.1.2 to a 7.1.4 using virtualization but it sounds like most people do not think it’s a noticeable enough upgrade to justify doin it. I watch a lot of movies and shows with Atmos and listen to a good bit of music. My HT system is in our great room and due to the layout I unfortunately cannot place the surrounds completely behind the listening area but they are just above ear level and about even with, maybe a touch behind it. Surround effects are still pretty solid despite the lack of ideal placement (thanks Trueplay). Would the Era 100s be noticeably better for creating rear surround effects and height effects with the virtualization o

Hi, I am having trouble setting up my Sub mini. It was previously connected then I changed my internet services and now I am trying to reconnect everything and every time I am getting stuck at adding my sub mini to the system.

Stumped on this one, especially since it’s involving multiple vendors, but figured I’d try here first because of Sonos, Roku and Alexa communities I figure you folks are the most clever.I have a Beam 2 connected to a TCL 5-series Roku TV via eARC. The name for the Roku in Alexa is “Living Room TV”.  The TV uses a 0-100 volume scale.Until a few days ago, I could ask Alexa on the Beam to set a specific volume on the TV, in several ways:“Alexa, set the volume on TV to 14” “Alexa, set the volume on Roku to 14” “Alexa, set the volume of living room TV to 14”… you get the idea.  Doing that would bring up the Roku volume display on the TV set to 14 (out of 100).But I recently added a cheapo Fire TV in a bedroom here so now Alexa knows about two TVs.  And ever since then, I have not been able to use the Alexa on the Beam to set a specific volume above 10 on the Roku TV, even when I specify “Living Room TV” or “Living Room Roku”. One of three things happens (phrasing is from memory here):“I’m s

I have purchased sonos arc and sub 3 days before and looks like sub audio is not up to the mark. Its not giving me punching feeling.  I changed my setting to EQ  bass +10Sub audio +. 15then i get some punchy base, in this setting my room must be shaking but its not.I checked both sub and arc is firmware is upto date. I moved sub here and there multiple places in room but same output. My sub and arc both connected to wifi 2.4Ghz because it automatically takes 2.4Ghz SSID instead 5Ghz. Now days router uses same SSID name for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.   I am really disappointed with soundbar and sub, my 100$ sound bar and sub sound far better than this 1800$ crap. I was so excited to hear but it ruined my new year.

For my home theater system I have the Sonos Playbar with a subwoofer and two play 3 for surrounds. I was planning on buying a new TV and was wondering if it would be worth buying the arc? And if the older play3 speakers and sub are compatible with the arc?

Got the Arc, Sub3, and a pair of Era 300's with Sanus stands for Black Friday. Looking for suggestions on best placement. Unfortunately I won't be able to get 'ideal seating' with the room layout. Any other suggestions besides the attached photo? TV is 65" LG C9 wallmounted.Unfortunately I can’t change the furniture layout just because of the door, openings, and windows. I am open to returning the 300’s though if I won’t get much of a benefit without ideal placement.

So, for a week now I’ve been trouble shooting why the sonos App never displays that its receiving Atmos. Ive bought new hdmi 2.1 cables, checked and rechecked the settings. Purchased a new Apple TV 3rd gen. Still no Atmos. My Television is an LG Oled C1. All devices are updated to latest software. E-arc is enabled, pass through enabled, the Arc is plugged into the eArc HDMI port. Still at best i get Dolby 5.1+ or Mutlichannel PCM 5.1 (from the Apple TV). No app whatsoever produces Atmos sound with the Arc whether native on the TV or from the Apple TV.  Im so frustrated im considering just returning the Arc soundbar and moving towards a Klipsch Atmos setup. What could possibly be the problem that im not finding nor thinking of?
