I have purchased sonos arc and sub 3 days before and looks like sub audio is not up to the mark.

Its not giving me punching feeling.

I changed my setting to

EQ  bass +10

Sub audio +. 15

then i get some punchy base, in this setting my room must be shaking but its not.

I checked both sub and arc is firmware is upto date.

I moved sub here and there multiple places in room but same output.

My sub and arc both connected to wifi 2.4Ghz because it automatically takes 2.4Ghz SSID instead 5Ghz. Now days router uses same SSID name for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

I am really disappointed with soundbar and sub, my 100$ sound bar and sub sound far better than this 1800$ crap.

I was so excited to hear but it ruined my new year.

Are you certain your Arc is receiving a 5.1 signal? Have you tried different locations for the Sub placement? With the low frequencies involved, relatively small movement of the device can make a significant difference, as can sound absorbing furniture and rugs.

There are quite a few threads in this forum where people moved from ‘this Sub sucks’ to ‘OMG, thanks, such a difference!’

Yes, I have placed in several places in my room, i think you might have missed that in original thread.

Yes, if you’ve posted the same thing in multiple threads, it’s likely that it was missed. There are hundreds of posts a day which i  read, I tend to pay attention to the issue needing to be resolved, and not the individual who is having the issue.

Sorry, I meant this thread in my top post itself. Also i see Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby atmos based on content, sometimes DD 2.

In all three cases i see no difference in audio quality.

Then I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Unfortunately, the customers in this forum don’t have access to see what is inside a diagnostic.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Room corners are usually the most efficient placement for subwoofer and listener.

If you are having to set the Bass in the EQ to +10 and the Sub Audio to +15, something isn’t right.

What are the dimensions of your room? Do you have a rug or carpet in the room?

Try removing the Sub from the Arc in the Sonos app and unplug both from power for a couple of minutes. Plug them back in and make sure WiFi is enabled on both devices in the Sonos app. Re-add the Sub to the Arc and test the bass again by playing the song “King Ghost” by Steven Wilson.

Thanks everyone for support. I called sonos support but i don’t think, its fixing my issue.

I will be returning this product.
