My right play1 speaker is not being recognized for surround sound setup. I have a playbar, sub, and (2) Play1 speakers. I can set them up individually, and as a paired stereo set. But when trying to add as surround - the right speaker isn’t being recognized. the only time I got it to work as surround was when I had a wired connection with the Sonos boost. When I unplugged and moved back to its location - same problems as noted above. Looking for some advice or help please Diagnostic # 88499131

Hi I have just bought a Sonos Arc and have set it up.  I am now trying to add to older Play 1s as surround sound speakers.  I did it before on an older Beam without issue.  \I have reset both play 1s.  They are flashing green.  But they will not connect.  The app just says “2 compatible Sonos speakers are required…...” any ides? thanks 

I have a Sonos Arc 2 and the 3rd gen sub. I have a google nest wifi network and see that the Sonos Arc is not able to connect to the google wifi name even though the password is correct. It always says incorrect password even though there is nothing wrong. It connects to my main wifi (router) without any issues. But I am forced to switch between wifi networks to use the sub from my phone. Is there a way Sonos can work with google wifi?

Hello everyone!I’ve been putting together my home theatre system. Initially I got two One SL and then the Sub Gen 3. When I paired the two Ones as stereo together with the Sub, it sounds fantastic.Today I got the Arc, so I decided to add it to my system. I don't have a TV yet, but I figured I can still add the Arc to the Ones and Sub and use it to play music. Adding everything together was a breeze and I can see in the Sonos app that the room says + Sub + LS + RS. Wi-Fi is turned off in all speakers, as everything is wired via ethernet.The problem is when I play music I only get output from the Arc. No sound is coming either from the Ones or from the Sub. If I remove the Arc and group the Ones and Sub in another room, they work as expected. Music is being streamed from Apple Music via the Sonos App.The Sub is turned on and the Eq settings are correct. Music playback in the room settings is set to “Full” and “music level” is 9 while “TV level” is set to 0. The Sub sound is turned up as

Sonos sub (gen 3) will not connect to the arc soundbar once the sub has been setup, and says it will remain unsed until you connect it.  however, it wont connect and says not found - please help🤦.

I have an Arc, Sub, and (2) Ones that I just purchased and they won’t connect to my Nest mesh WiFi. I can only see one device and I have to unplug it to see another device. I bought a Boost yesterday and not sure how that can be added as I tried to plug it into my router by Ethernet and by having the Ethernet cable disconnected. The app doesn’t detect the Boost. Please let me know if I can solve this issue or should return the Sub, (2) Ones and the Boost. I like the Arc, but would prefer to have a surround sound experience. Thanks!

Have just bought a Sub 3 to go with my Beam. As soon as it is added and audio is playing my wife performance drops from 60Mbps+ to less than 3Mbps. If I disable the Sub the performance goes back up.  Can anyone help with solutions? If it can’t be fixed the Sub 3 will have to be returned which I don’t want to do as I’m happy with the sound.  

I have submitted 2 diagnostics - 839597077 and 696830721 after the issue happened.More background on the issue - i’m running a sonos arc surround setup with hdfury arcana to split earc from appletv4k and pass it to the sonos arc.Whenever I’m watching dolby Atmos content on Netflix - the witcher, hunting of bly manor - I’m getting random increases by 20-30% for 2-3 seconds in the volume of the surronds(One SLs).When I’m watching Apple+ Atmos content, I havent observed the issue. My sonos app displays that I’m getting Dolby Atmos sound Can someone fix my title? - seems i cant edit it from my phone that i’m using to submit this question 

After numerous attempts to connect both Sub and base to Sonos app In my system using both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, Both are not found by this new but poorly researched app.i am technically literate and this new app does not support these items, no matter what you have said 

Hello, My beam worked well for more than a year. Suddenly the sound is switching from Tv Speakers and beam every 2 seconds.  I installed the last version of the firmware. And nothing changed.  Does someone has an idea about what to do? thank you

Just bought Beam and unable to connect to TV (LG 43LF510V) as the TV only has one HDMI which is being used for cable and does not have an optical outlet. Do I have any options that don’t involve buying a new TV? Thank you 

HiTrying to figure out how to get the best out of the arc and have a few questions.My Samsung TV lets me choose between PCM or Dolby Digital as audio format. From what I understand is PCM 2.0 stereo, so I should choose Dolby Digital instead?Also, when support for LPCM arrives, I still have to use Dolby/PCM since the TV doesn’t support LPCM, even if Apple TV supports LPCM? Meaning, is the tv a bottleneck here?Last, is bitstream an option as a possible update to the Arc in the future?thanks!

My two play ones have been working fine but recently stopped. I’ve reset  as individuals and then  a stereo pair and work fine but as soon as add them as a surround sound they stop working (no sound) and the revert to the green blinking lights. Can anyone offer any advice.

I setup 2 x Sonos Fives, 1 x Arc and 1 x Sub for the first time on a new WiFi network.I’m using the Sonos 2 app on an apple iPhone X with iOS 13.7.  I couldn’t get the app to find any of the products until I plugged in one of the fives to the Internet access router. With one five connected by cable I was able to set everything up. But as the five was in a different room to the other devices and I want them all in the one room I unplugged and moved the five.  I now can’t find any of the devices. I’ve rebooted the router. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Zero. I keep getting an unending “searching for nearby products”.  I’m using Virgin Media’s latest high speed offering.  Any ideas welcome! 

I’m getting random cracklings noises from my sonos beam it’s connected to the tv via hdmi arc and I’ve submitted the diagnostics (935533658) does anyone know how I can fix this?when I pause my sky for a few seconds and press play again it seems to sort itself out

Hi everyone, we have a Sonos beam which is set up to our tv through the arc connection- works fine. Then we have two more Sonos speakers from IKEA- Symfonix. One is the lamp and the other is the bookshelf. They have all been set up and connected to the Sonos S2 app. When I go on the app onto the beam and try and set up surround sound (all speakers are on and connected to WiFi) it says- two compatible speakers are required...  are we doing something wrong? All speakers are connected on the app and so should be compatible? I can’t work out why it won’t work?Thanks in advance, Christy. 

I have a Sonos Playbar and a Sonos One and I was looking to get two Studio Monitors for music production.Is there a way to integrate the Studio Monitors with the Sonos to use in a home audio setting so that I can make the most of my Sonos. I dont currently have an audio interface (though I will be getting one for recording vocal / guitar). If there is anything I would need to purchase to be able to incorporate this as well as how to do so would be so appreciated. tldr: How do I connect Sonos Playbar and Sonos One to studio monitors (and if there is anything that the monitors would need to do so)?

Hi,  i recently bought a Sonos Beam and I’ve been experiencing issues where the speaker will disconnect from my phone and stop playing music.  I’m considering returning my speaker however I want to find out if there are remedial options before doing so ?Thanks in advance. 

HiI have a Beam with two one speakers added to create surround sound. This works fine.Today I bought a 3rd one speaker and added it as a separate speaker. I grouped it with the current living room surround set up. However, I have run into a few issues. The new one speaker does play sound but it keeps breaking up/cutting out. In addition, when I press mute on the sky remote it only mutes the existing surround set up. This is how I discovered the new speaker was cutting out as it plays the TV sound by itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,Please forgive the spelling above! I am having constant issues with my arc and surround from my SL’s.  I connect it the arc and then the SL’s and there are constant issues. Sometimes they work sometimes they don’t. Then they connect for surround then the app doesn’t recognise them. It’s been a pretty painful experience so far to be honest! Another strange issue is that I can only connect my system when my phone is on the 5G band of my router and the app is on the 2.4G. If my phone is on the 2.4G the same as the Sonos then it’s doesn’t work. I’ve tried connecting one speaker to my router. I’ve tried re setting everything and starting afresh probably 50 times. I’ve read threads and gone through everything on the Sonos help and advice.  Does anyone know how to fix this? All I want is my arc to work with the SL’s as surround!  Very much a first world problem but a frustrating one nonetheless! cheersTom  

I’ve finally decided to fix /address my connectivity issues with Sonos since we bought the system 2 years ago. It has become bu quest.  We have the surround sound configuration (2 SonosOnes, Sub and Playbar).  They are very rarely connected (fully connected). More often than not I go to the app and it says: (Playbar +Sub+?+LS) —- pick your combination for which speaker shows up as “?”  The Playbar however, NEVER cuts out (so that’s good).  In reviewing this community I learned a Boost would help.  Connected the Boost, issue resolved (for 1 day sadly).  The boost is wired to the router.  Sonos support states that I should move the router closer to the Sonos speakers. Which would require rewriting to move my router downstairs. Router is upstairs In the office and Sonos surround is 1 floor down (maybe 50 feet if that).  There has to be a solution to this. Maybe another Boost (to create a WiFi mesh??). 

Is there any method to connect/synch up my Sonos Beam to my Bose Soundlink 2 so they are synched up and can both play TV/Pandora????

12 x Sonos One SL speakers split into two levels, 7 on one level and 5 on the other.  I set them up as one single system and somehow now they are split into two separate systems with 2 separate playlists?  How can I combine them back into a single system without having to factory reset each speaker I want to join back into the main system?  They are installed in hard to reach spots.

Hi a newbie here and to Sonos. I recently, last week, took delivery of an arc, sub gen 3 and two ones.On music and 5.1 they sound fantastic, I am very impressed…..BUT listening to Jack Ryan with Atmos, there are regular clicks, three at a time….there does not seem to be much atmos content to test out the system. TV has ARC but not EARC, The fire TV shows atmos. Any suggestions welcome
