Hi everyone. I just recently bought the arc. Last night I started having issues with the arc along with the sub and surrounds. It’s weird because im not seeing the arc in my app but it still works. The sound is fine. I unplugged the power cord and after that arc showed up again. However, today when i turned on the tv to watch a movie it disappeared again in my app. Has anyone encountered the same issue in having? Thanks in advance

I am trying to connect my two Sonos One SL’s and Sub to my Sonos Arc SL. I have had no luck with his and continuously receive an error when I try to pair each of them. Under Sound System Info I have this warning and do not know what it means: Warning: Your wireless network will not support the use of a Sub or surrounds with your Sonos Arc SL. Can someone please help with this? I am using my 2.4GHz channel to connect with the Arc SL.

I submitted diagnostics….confirm # is 1739304462. We have One SLs on both sides of primary tv, and an Amp connected to the tv instead of a sound bar.  Audio is great when playing music.  When watching tv, sometimes the sound is consistent and no problems.  At other times, those two speakers cut in and out like crazy.  I know most have a sound bar, but we were hoping to go this route w/ the Amp for a couple reasons (bad space for sound bar, the Amp also allows us to play vinyl through all the SLs).  I’ve seen the recommendation of unplugging both the Amp and router and have done that once, but can’t imagine constantly doing it.  TIA for any info.

Dear Sonos community I have an issue let's hope I can get all help to solve it.I have an Arc + Sub gen3 + Play 5 gen2 and I just received the new Five. All of this in my living room.I would like to have surround 5.1 but the sonos app say that I should have compatible speakers.Is Five and Play5 not compatible?What should I do? Thanks

Hi,I’m trying to set up my sonos beam in order to play sound from an analogical system. I bought an analog to digital adapter that is offering a sdpif output with the following characteristics : 2 channel, LPCM, no compression, 48 Khz.However, when I plug in the sdpif adapter from the beam, it does not work. The adapter works with my TV, so I know it works by itself.Does anyone know what signal is the sdpif beam adaptor expecting ? Is there any way to make my setting work ? Thanks for reading.

So I’ve spoken to several Sonos reps on the phone and have not been able to resolve this issue. Basically I’ve recently purchased a used Connect:Amp to be able to connect my turntable (the brand is Tone Factory with built-in pre-amp) via line-in to my Beam. Setup goes smoothly and audio comes out of the Beam no problem when I manually select the turntable in the Sonos S2 app. However, no matter what combination of settings I try, I cannot get the Autoplay feature to switch from whatever the Beam is playing (I've tried with the TV on and off, as well as streaming music through Sonos Radio and Spotify) to the Connect:Amp once I start playing a record on the turntable. One rep told me the reason is that the Beam, which already has TV autoplay, has a built-in delay and waits for a signal from the tv so I must turn off the tv and wait for 10, oh no actually, 20 minutes before autoplay will work on the Connect:Amp. But besides being extremely impractical, I don’t think it can be true because

My Sonos Arc, keeps resetting or restarting.  It is random, and can happen every few hours or every 30 seconds.  I have replaced the power cable, but still have the same problem. It happens when it is connected to my TV system (via the hdmi arc), and happens when I'm listening to Spotify or the radio. Any idea's?

So I have a Samsung QN65Q7FAM tv with a New Sonos ArcIs Dolby digital + the best sound I can achieve? The Samsung rep told me I would have better sound with a different brand of TV lol..I also have a PS4 not sure if you can use it to boost the sound quality or not.Thanks in Advance!

I can’t get any sound to play to the Sonos Arc bar from an Apple TV 4K. The Apple TV is connected via newer hdmi cord to the hdmi on LG tv and the Sonos Arc bar is connected to the earc port on the LG TV. Apps on the LG TV play but the Apple TV 4K I don’t get any audio. I tried switching out hdmi cables but that unfortunately didn’t work. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I seem to have encountered a bug/limitation... I have ethernet to my surround setup (Arc, Sub, 2xSL) with the exception of one surround. By disabling wifi on the wired items, the single surround that remains on wifi will not play audio. The fix was to re-enable wifi on the Arc, that fixes the issue. Since I have ethernet wired to the Arc, I would prefer to disable wifi. Is this a known issue?

I’ve read all the posts on “rooms dropping”. My situation seems slightly different. I’ve never had this problem until I bought the ARC recently. I reset my SL’s and Sub and created a new room where the ARC is the master device. Everything setup and worked perfectly. It’s also connected via the HDMI/ARC connection in the TV. Now, periodically, while I’m watching a show/movie, the sound will completely cut out in that room and at the same time the TV will tell me that it just lost the source for that video/audio input. When I go to my Sonos app, it shows that the room and it’s devices are GONE….completely gone. BUT I can still see all my other rooms and their respective devices. Then, without doing anything, the “new” ARC based room will just suddenly reappear with it’s devices and the audio will continue based on the show I’m watching. Everything is connected via the Boost and my WiFi signal is very strong. 

Straight out-of-the-box, my Beam has been experiencing connectivity issues. It appears, in the end, I might have bought a lemon & I’ll be exchanging it for a fresh one tomorrow. However, this has got me thinking: after my Beam is properly set-up, how much functionality will it maintain if I experience an Internet disruption (regardless of whether I’m using a wired or wireless set-up)? I presume, at the most basic level, the HDMI connection to my TV and Blu-Ray player will continue working fine. Is that a safe assumption? And obviously I’d also lose access to Sonos services / streaming (and, presumably, the ability to adjust EQ etc on my Beam?). But, in between those two extremes: would functionality like Bluetooth and AirPlay also be lost in the case of an Internet connection failure? When I was experiencing the WiFi problems, I was amazed that I even couldn’t get AirPlay to work from my iPhone. And I’m trying to wrap my head around how “Internet-dependent” the Sonos ecosystem real

Hi there, Just set up arc with 2020 samsung frame tv. Every now and then sound goes in and out. It is resolved by unplugging the arc. I know this has been an issue in the past BUT has there been any real fixes?? Samsung is blaming sonos and sonos is blaming samsung(go figure.) Anyway hoping someone has an answer. Thanks

I am looking at getting the following setupLG CX TV SONOS Amp SONOS Arc soundbar Ceiling SpeakersHow would I go about connecting the equipment to produce a 5.0 surround system.Would I do the following, also see the diagram belowLG CX TV HDMI  2 ARC Port→ HDMI Cable → SONOS ARC Soundbar ARC portSONOS Amp left→ 14 gauge audio cable → Ceiling Speaker LeftSONOS Amp → 14 gauge audio cable → Ceiling Speaker RightSONOS Amp NIC → CAT5e/6 cable → Local Network Switch → CAT5e/6 cable → SONOS Arc NICOr can the SONOS Amp and SONOS Arc be connected via WiFi.Or can you simply place an ethernet cable between the ARC and AMP as if they are acting as their own local network on their ethernet switch ports. 

Hey guys, I have the issue that after turning the tv off via remote control the screen goes black but the status light of the tv still indicates it’s on. After some time the screen is grey and ON. This started happening after connecting the Sonos Arc to the tv. I’ve tried a couple of settings in the App such as TV Autoplay on/off and carious combinations of remote control settings. No luck so far with this issue.Can anyone help?

Hi,I am unable to turn on Dolby Atmos in my PC settings since installing my Radeon 6900 xt graphics card. It used to work fine with my previous Nvidia GPU. My TV is the LG CX 48” with the Sonos Arc. Everything is set up and installed correctly but I just can’t turn on Dolby Atmos.  

I set up a Playbar in our barn as part of a home theater system.  (The rec room is down there, so, no, it’s not for pigs or cows in the barn!)  I remember going through the room with my phone to help the Playbar read the room and set things up.  For various reasons, I may be replace the Playbar with an Arc.  That would mean I could sell the Playbar or move it into my study.The issue with my study is that I have 3-4 different places where I’m sitting and would be listening to music or watching movies on the sofa.  Is it possible to create some kind of profile for the Playbar for each of the locations I’ll be sitting in, so I can switch from one to the other, depending on where I’m sitting?

Hi, I am having trouble with my Sonos setup. I have a Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, 2 One SLs. I use the SLs as my surrounds. When I have TrueTone activated, I have a much better adjusted sound, but the surrounds are quite unbalanced, the right one is a lot louder than the left one. When I turn off True Tone I get a worse sound but a better balance.I have seen the issue reported several times, but did not find a solution. Would you have any idea how to solve the problem? thank you!

I have Sonos Products throughout my home for audio, but sound for my primary TV is currently through a traditional LCR soundbar wired through a Denon AVR that also controls audio for a number of wired in-ceiling and outside speakers. All of my video components route through the Denon (local cable TV, Apple TV, Fire Stick, etc.) I also use a sonos connect for my turntable audio output.I would like to replace my LCR soundbar with a Beam. I’ve seen a number of threads discussing how to connect Beam in to an AVR (and whether this makes sense to do or not). Since I already have the AVR, and it’s so central to my current set-up, is it just as simple as connecting Beam to the HDMI/ARC output on the Denon?

Hi, I’ve performed a few reboots and a single factory reset on my beam today as the Google Assistant stopped working this morning and was not able to connect to the network for some reason, the beam also seems to disappear from the Sonos App - not sure why. All other devices can connect (and remain connected to the internet) and my Sonos One (Gen2) continues to work with Google Assistant enabled. I’ve tried rebooting the router already as well as unlinking the Sonos devices from google assistant. Every time I try to add a voice assistant to the Beam it would go through to try open up the google assistant app and then finally error out with “There was a problem adding Google Assistant”. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone, Thanks in advance for your help. I had a bit of a roller-coaster day today. Google Assistant stopped working on the beam but it was still able to play audio from the TV etc. but sonos radio wouldnt work. I could see there was activity on the router from the beam onto the net so was sure it was connected. I thought at first it must be me trying to spam Google Assistant too much today with my testing so they blocked me so I left it alone for a few hours and came back and it was still saying “Sorry I cant reach the internet right now” - strange!. I rebooted the system a few times and always ending up with the same issue - my other sonos devices (sonos one gen2) on the same network had no issues. So, I decided to do a factory reset on the beam to see if it’ll help. Unfortunately, now it’s coming up on the sonos app as “Not Registered” and when I try to register it just sits there and finally fails. I can see on the sonos website under “systems” the beam is marked as “offline”

When my SONOS Beam is connected to the TV, the controllers for the Nintendo Switch lag a split second, enough to make many games unplayable. It is NOT an audio lag, but a controller input lag. As soon as I unplug the speaker from the TV, the controls are responsive again. And when I plug the speaker in again, the controls start lagging again. This happens whether I’m using a wireless controller or a USB controller.I don’t think it has to do with the Beam’s wifi. I have it set up on ethernet from the router and it’s not connected to a wifi network. I’m using a TCL ROKU TV (49S405). FYI, this is the same problem experienced in an earlier posted question that was never resolved (“Nintendo Switch Controller Connection Issues” by Mattr767). What’s going on? Is there anyway to fix this? I can’t use the Beam when gaming, which is half the use the TV gets.

I have an arc with 2 SL’s. Sound is outrageously good. But recently whenever I open the app it has trouble connecting to the speakers. Now it won’t connect even after resetting everything. I use the iOS app. Was hoping these would be more reliable than they are currently are. 

I have an old pioneer kuro PDP-428XD and have just purchased a Sonos beam as was hoping to improve the sound.   It doesn’t have an ARC and so having to use the optical adaptor.   When I set it up the beam doesn’t detect a signal.  I THINK from reading up on other forums that the 428XD only passes out optical sound if/when using the TV tuner (which I’m not - I’ve got a fire stick and Virgin TV connected via HDMI.Does anyone know if there is a work around?  Some people have mentioned an audio extractor but I’ve no idea if that worked, and if so which one?  Most of the posts seem years old with no conclusion and so hoping that there is a nice simple work around? Many thanks Mike
