I just picked up the Sonos Ray on clearance on Best Buy and am aiming to use with the latest Apple TV (4K 128GB 3rd gen) and Samsung TV (65" Q70C QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen). Sadly, I cannot set the Sonos Ray as the default Audio Output on Apple TV. Each time I power Apple TV on or even evening opening a new app (YouTube TV, Hulu, Netflix, etc), I need to manually select the Sonos Ray as the audio output. once it is manually selected, I am able to change volume and mute without issue using the Apple TV remote, so I do not believe this is a remote issue. Additionally, the Sonos Ray does show up in my Home app and I’m able to play music/audio from my iPhone without issue.Any advice/suggestion on how to avoid the need to manually set Sonos Ray as the audio output EVERY time on Apple TV?

Hi,Does anyone know a way to keep speakers grouped other than when one product is playing from a TV (HDMI eARC). It would be great to keep a few products in a room grouped for listening to music other than when they are set to automatically ungroup when the AMP is playing from the TV.Thanks,David

I want to buy a sub for my arc ( not ultra ) soundbar. I have 2 first generation ikea symphonisk lampspeaker connected to the arc. Can I use every sub ( mini-gen 3-gen 4) with the arc. (And with the symphonisk also still working)

I have a pair of Sonos Five and a Sonos Amp conected to a Tv via HDMI Arc. The problem is when I play the TV sound via Amp the sound get skipped using the Sonos Five. It is very annoying and o could not fix yet. What can I do? They are at the same Wi-Fi net, I changed the HDMI cable but nothing happened! Thanks for the help 

The sound keeps dropping out on my beam gen 2, it happens randomly 

Currently have play bar with sub and amp to in ceiling surrounds. TV is 10 year Samsung. Planning on upgrading to Sonos arc ultra and a newer tv. Question is what tv is more compatible sony kxr7590 or lg g4? Want best 77” in a fairly well lite room with sliding glass doors about 10 feet away on perpendicular wall. I know a lot of info but this is important to for viewing Sunday afternoon football. Of course we watch crime dramas and movies at night. And when she’s not home I love to crank up the volume for a good disaster flick!

My Beam suddenly stopped working after 16 months and now only blinks white. I tried hard resetting and connecting directly to the internet. I called customer support and tried all of the suggested trouble shooting sets they provided. They sent me to Sonos Customer Experience which sent me an email offering to give me 30% off discount for sending back the equipment. Has anybody else had this issue and were you able to either fix the problem or get Sonos to replace the broken unit? I feel like the product should last more than 16 months and also feel like the solution from Sonos should be better than me sending back the unit so that they can refurbish and sell again and only giving a 30% off discount for a defective device. 

I have a Arc Ultra soundbar, a Sub 4, and an Amp driving two wired in-ceiling speakers in addition to a Samsung TV with HDMI ARC. The soundbar, subwoofer and amp can be connected via WIFI. Ideally I would like that the soundbar, the subwoofer and the in-ceiling speakers all be active whenever I turn the system on to watch TV or listen to music. Is there an ideal connection or order of component installation to make this process seamless and intuitive? I'd like to make this as simple as possible in the event that family members want to use the system and not have to learn any complicated sequencing in order to make it work. Thanks in advance.

can i adjust ARC sound volume separately from tv sound volume?    i have a 2023 LG Oled.  From time to time I want to listen to just the ARC, with no actual tv volume. I have the ARC connected via  HDMI cable from the bar to an ARC (Audio Return Channel)-equipped HDMI socket on the LG TV, 

I have a Sonos system consisting of a Beam, which handles my television output, and two Sonos Ones serving as surround speakers. It’s been working splendidly, but recently I purchased a Sonos Era 100 to connect my CD player via its line-in. This has introduced issues that I'm struggling to resolve. If I play the CD player through the Era 100 alone, it’s perfectly acceptable, albeit a bit limited. However, attempting to play it through the entire system creates a problem when I next switch on the television. Either there’s no sound at all, or there’s a peculiar echoing conflict where the TV speakers and the Beam fail to synchronise. All I really want is to play CDs when I fancy listening to them and watch television when I wish to do so, with the system understanding which input I desire at any given time. Have I inadvertently created an impossible conflict, or is there a solution? Can anyone assist me, please?

Hi there!I’m new to Sonos and have my system for a few days now. I use an Arc Ultra with Era 100 as surround and Sub 4. The Arc Ultra is connected to the Sony TV via HDMI eArc. A Fire TV Stick 4K is connected directly to the TV HDMI-In without any adapters.The following problem: The Arc Ultra somehow seems to interfere with the signal from the Fire TV Stick remote control and also the TV control. When the Arc Ultra is connected, you have to hold the remote control extremely close and very directly to the TV or soundbar to switch the TV on and change the volume, otherwise nothing happens. The navigation buttons up/down/left/right, on the other hand, work instead well and theoretically also much further away / in another room – really strange.The Arc Ultra is located around 15cmin in front of the TV. Finally, yesterday, a pair of Sonos Era 100s arrived. I have been configuring a pair of Sonos Era 100s as surround speakers on my Sonos Beam Gen 2 and have been playing Dolby Atmos Music and Dolby Atmos demo content to evaluate the experience. Overall, I am satisfied, but there is one major drawback.When the side surround channel is played, sound is output from both the side speakers of the Sonos Beam and the Era 100s. The problem is that the sound of the Era 100s is so loud that it overpowers the sound output from the side speakers of the soundbar.In other words, I could hardly perceive the positional separation when the rear surround channel was played and when the side surround channel was played.When the rear surround channel was played, sound was only output from the rear speakers. Yes, this is correct.However, when the side surround channel was played, sound was output from both the soundbar and the rear speakers, but the rear speakers were still so

I am using Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Sonos Era 100 as surround speakers. Sonos Era 100 supports Quick Tune. So even though I am an Android smartphone user, I can enjoy TruePlay on Era 100. The problem is that when I configure Sonos Beam Gen 2 and Sonos Era 100 as a home theater, the TruePlay option disappears. This is because Sonos Beam Gen 2 does not support Quick Tune.

Hey guys,I've got a question about the Sonos app. Yesterday I added a second SUB to my system, but I can't find the info about mySUB. I'm not seeing an arrow like in the attached picture (SUB 3). The SUBs are on the same network and everything works. Do you know why this is happening?Thanks in advance 

I only have Sonos Beam Gen 2 soundbar. I do not have rear or separate woofers. So this is probably a bug that only affects people who use the soundbar alone. However, I can definitely say that it is very critical and very urgent. Because this bug has a huge negative impact on the listening experience. For example, if there is an explosion behind you, the woofer will not work. And if there is an airplane explosion in the air, the woofer will not work.Just play this test video. So two questions about my Sonos Beam and Sub.Sonos Beam and Sub keep reducing in volume when I am playing music. I’ve reset the system and it’s still doing the same thing.    The same Beam won’t connect to my TV via HDM. I’ve the cable in the right port and still nothing, I also tried the digital port.  

I have a new TV, Sony Bravia A95L 55”, initially while I was waiting for delivery of a new Arc Ultra & Era 300’s for surround I used my old setup, Playbar, Sub Gen 2 & 2 x Play 1’s for surrounds with the new TV, Playbar connected via optical cable. All was fine. When the new stuff arrived I connected it all up, Ultra via eArc HDMI etc, I now have a few issues; Occasional disconnection from the Sonos and back to TV speakers, without me doing it. When I reselect the Sonos, its fine. When I turn on the TV in the morning, by switching on the Sky Q box, more often than not not the TV shows nothing on the Sky Q channel, I have to restart either the Sky Q or TV, then its fine. When I fast forward, rewind or pause on programmes, when the sound comes back I get a nasty noise from the speakers. this seems to be only on Sky recordings and not all the time (see clip)Any ideas as to what it could be? 😋

I recently purchased an Arc Ultra for my Samsung TV.  I connected the HDMI cord to the tv and it works great, but when I turn off the TV I am no longer able to play music through the Arc via airplay. When I unplug the Arc, I’m able to discover the speaker over airplay, but it immediately goes away once I start using my TV and never returns. Does anyone have any advice for how I can get the Arc to connect to airplay without resetting each time?

I’m watching a movie on Plex which shows it’s Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 and I’m sure it’s only stereo and the same thing watching YouTube videos. I'm sure those are also stereo. I’m wondering if I have a setting messed up in my App. Any ideas?

I am trying to set up my new arc ultra, but I’m not able to get it to find my Play 5 GEN 2 speakers to use as my surround speakers.  I have tried resetting all the speakers and that didn’t work.  Can someone help me please.  

Hi allOur current set up for our Living room TV where the family watches anything from daily news to movie nights uses the following Sonos products: Playbar + Sub (Gen 2) + Amp (wired to 2 in-ceiling rear speakers)     The products are obviously from a while back and wondered when choosing from the “Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc Ultra”would upgrading to the Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc Ultra be a significantly recognised difference (e.g. kids movie nights); or would a single item provide a big enough improvement i.e. Arc Ultra OR Sub 4 OR Era 300 (pair);  any other thoughts / adviceThe only reason I am considering an upgrade is because we have a Play5 Gen1 in our system which is not compatible with the Sonos S2 app and we can get a discount if we upgrade.  Saying that the discount does not expire so there is no rush.  Thank you in advance for any thoughts / advice :) 

Hello, I have a Sonos beam 2 connected to TV arc and also wired to ethernet as the basis of my sonos system for the house. I have some great Bose speakers that are no longer being used, but was wondering if sonos AMP would allow me to wirelessly connect these speakers as rear surround speakers (so beam 2 remains front L/R and the amp speaker rear L/R for surround). This seems a basic question - but I have read so many different things on line saying the AMP has to be connedted to TV and arc - it's not clear to a nuffy like me. Dont want to purchase if the above is not possible.
