Hi there,Recentely I bought the Sonos Beam gen 2 soundbar for my LG C1 tv. I connected it with a HDMI ARC cable and I made it surround with my two SonoS one's. The moment I wanted to experience the Dolby Atmos, I figured Netflix is only showing me Dolby Vision and no Dolby Atmos. The moment I unplug the soundbar Netflix is showing Dolby Atmos (since my tv supports this). I wonder if I am doing something wrong, but I thought Netflix would show me Atmos with this setup. Can somebody help me with this or explain why this isn't working? If you need any more information, let me know!Thank you in advance!

I have speech enhancement turned on with the arc, but I'm still trying to find out how to hear dialogue better. Is it possible to have a Sonos one SL or another less expensive speaker configured to exclusively play voices?Has anyone else ever experienced the arc with only one back speaker? In that case, how did that sound?

Hi There I bought a new Sonos Beam. It connected initially to the Sonos app on iOS. It then just disappeared and now it won’t reconnect and cannot be found. I have unplugged the Ethernet, HDMI and tried resetting the system but nothing. It works with TV via the HDMI but isn’t registering on the Sonos app. Help! 

Hi, I made the original post below about 4mo ago. I was given the below solution in blue. I tried the solution & it didn’t work. I’ve been looking for the original Sonos HDMI cable, which I can’t find. I came back to this & tried again. I even did a Android software update to see if that would fix this. Nothing seems to work I followed the instructions exactly & the TV recognized the Sonos. My Sonos app, when I did TV Setup, said I was all set & connected to the TV. The Sonos device made a sound, but there simply is not TV audio coming through my Sonos. When i increase volume, the Sonos lights up but teh TV does not show any volume increase. This is so bizarre, because when I purchsed the Sonos & connected to TV 1st time everything worked perfectly & Sonos gave TV sound for about a year. Then just stopped. Nothing I do solves this. Sonos works fine for music on the Sonos speaker network. Can someone PLEASE help. Is this a Sonos problem or Sony problem??

Everything was working fine with my arc and Panasonic tv.But after the last Sonos update:The tv sound is not in sync.The (sky) remote no longer controls the arc volume/mute but now controls the tv instead.The tv sound plays at different sync to arc at the same time. Not sure what’s got out of whack. Any help welcome.thanks 

I am hoping someone can help. We have Sonos, a Beam (with TV plugged in via ARC), an amp (with turntable), an old Play 3 and a Roam.I am having real problems connecting the TV to the system. I can get it to play through the Beam, but not the other speakers, which was my hack for a surround sound type TV watching experience.This is a recent problem, and I've done the basics (all updates, unplug from power, unplug ARC, etc.) and still doesn't work.Sometimes the other speakers show up in my controller (sometimes they do not), and even if I crank the volume on the amp and the play 3, no sound comes out.I do find this constant connection issues frustrating with Sonos.Side note: primarily my wife uses the Beam voice controlled with Alexa, not sure if that is related or not.Any advice warmly appreciated.

Having a bit of trouble making sense of how to install this with that wall mount and could use some help. My tv is on the ground and I realize that the sanus arc tv mount has to go on the bottom holes before I mount the tv. The problem is the mount backer thing is only on the top and based on the su-wl855 instructions after I lift the tv and hook it into the mount, then I put the screws from that wall piece into the bottom holes of the tv. Am I wrong to then assume that I will need 3 people to install the tv? As I will have to put the back piece of the su wl855 first then have the 3rd person screw into the wall bracket while 2 people hold it up? I have a beam, sub and One SLs setup as surround in my living room. I recently bought two used Play 1’s and it won’t connect as surround. It recognized them but will not connect toy current setup. How do I get them to pair into my existing surround setup?

I have a Beam (Gen 2) hooked up to my Samsung TV and Apple TV box. Everything has worked like a charm for the last year or so.Having changed nothing, as of last night, I suddenly have no sound through the Anynet+ (Samsung HDMI-CEC) connection. Sonos still works fine via Airplay 2 with other devices. The TV sees the Sonos Beam, but when I increase the volume, rather than registering a volume number, I get a series of dots sweeping up and then it disappears (see image 1).I have spent several hours trying everything I can think of. I’ve powered everything off, removed the HDMI cables, turned everything back on and reconnected step by step. Everything is working -- except the sound through the Beam.I’ve tried re-setting up the TV through the Sonos App, but I get stuck at images 2 and 3.I’m stumped and very frustrated. If anyone could help I’d be truly grateful...Apple TV iOS 15.6Samsung TV 6100 

Today I bought a new Beam Gen 2 Sonos product at Costco and now that I’m trying to set it up it is requesting an e-mail and password that does not belong to me as if someone else linked their e-mail with this hardware. It seems that I won’t be able to fully use my new product if it linked and governed by someone else.

Hi all I currently have an arc + sub setup for TV watching and a pair of KEF LS50 Wireless actives for music. The great bass response I get with the Sonos setup has now made me want to hook up a sub to the kefs :)  is there any way to use my existing Sonos sub 3 for this? I know I can’t connect the sub directly to the kefs but would a solution be to use a Sonos Port? Would connecting the Port optical out to the Kef optical in allow me to group them together with the sub? I think I’m getting a headache

Hi. For some reason my Sonos Sub 3 has stopped working on WiFi but I have since solved the problem by connecting my Sub directly to my router.However I am curious as to why this should happen on WiFi but not on an ethernet connection?I now have my Arc and Sub connected directly to my router with just my 2 One SL's connecting via WiFi as I have had no issues with my 2 surround speakers!It was only with the Arc and Sub that I had connection issues.It was strange as when I had the problem the Sub was showing on the Sonos app but no sound was coming out of the Sub whilst it was on WiFi.Just curious. By the way I have tried all the usual things like rebooting my router etc.Just to add that before when I only had the Arc on a wired connection (I think it's called SonosNet), on the Sonos app under 'About My System' I only used to have the Arc on WM:0

Hihave spend a whole day trying to figure out what the problem is. But didn’t succeed, so I hope maybe someone here could help me out. my problem is that in my Sonos app Dolby Atmos is not displayed when watching movies from my Apple TV 4K. It only displays Dolby Digital plus 5.1.alle the movies in different apps (Netflix, Disney, HBO) shows the Atmos option in the info title. Normally when this is displayed I am also receiving Atmos on my Sonos app.  when using the mentioned apps from my tv instead of Apple TV 4K I am also getting Atmos on my Sonos app.  Anybody who can tell med what the h… is going on :) 

My Sonos Beam is connected to my Samsung TV. It is plugged in to the TV using HDMI. When I am away for an extended time, I sometimes unplug the TV.   If I do not use the Beam for an extended time, will it go into a sleep mode or is it better to un plug  the power too.Thank you, Irwin 

Will I be able to adjust the volume from the remote control of my Humax Aura 4K recorder (SPDIF connection) if I plug the Sonos Ray cable into the Humax instead of plugging the Sonos cable into my Panasonic 4K TV.

Basically every other time I turn on my TV the Beam(Gen 1) will not connect with the TV. I then need to unplug the HDMI cable from the TV and plug it back in for it to connect, or doing the Tv setup in the SONOS app also helps with this issue. If I try to fix it within the app, I also need to do the TV setup two times, the first time it will say there was an error, but when I try again it works. I usually just end up removing the cable and putting it back, since that is much quicker.The annoying thing is it happens basically just every other time I turn on the TV. Both the Beam and the TV are running all the latest updates, this has now been going on for about a year. I have tried resetting the TV but that did not help.I have also noticed that when I turn off the TV, sometimes the LED on the Beam turns green, sometimes it stays white.I'm using the HDMI cable that came with the Beam to connect the TV, but maybe changing the cable could help.TV model: TCL 5

My setup: I have and LG tv ( it has eARC) and a appletv and a ARC.I use the remote from the appletv.When i turn on the appeltv it turns on my tv aswell. But lateliy the sonos arc dosnt start the sound ( audio return channel) the sound comes out of my tv insted.i can then mauely aktivate the return channel on my tv and then the sound comes out of my ARC. It have always worked,but for about a week ago it dit not work..I have not made any changes on my setup.I have tryed a power draine.With all the hdmi plugs pulled out of my tv.what am i missing?please help. P.S there have ben no update to my tv,i update the tv mauely.So no changes there. 

I have a Sonos Beam (Gen 1) and two Sonos One SLs.I recently hooked up a new WiFi router and have a new network name so I began the task of migrating my Sonos system to the new WiFi. Which I’ve always found to be easier to just factory reset everything and start from scratch because the migration tools are tedious and flat out fail most of the time.Now I cannot get my Beam and One’s to pair for surround. All three devices show up in my System.I set them all to “Living Room” and for starters they all get their own living room. So I have Living Room, Living Room 2, and Living Room 3.Which is weird but whatever. The system prompts me to setup surrounds. When I do so this operation always fails. Hi all,I bought an Arc + Sub Gen 3 bundle last week. Unfortunately since I’ve started using it, the standby noise from the Sub has been unbearable; I know there’s normally a slight hum/whine with almost all electronics, but this is loud to the point that it’s distracting me from the other side of a quiet 8m room. I have to switch it off or physically unplug it each time I stop using it for a while, which is… not a great user experience.I’ve tried factory resetting, disconnecting from the Arc, using different wall sockets, swapping the power cables between the Arc and Sub, everything I can think of. I have a Beam gen 2 that I want to add my 2 ones ( that are are on s1 app) for surrounds just for a Saturday night movie to s2 and then return the ones to s1 app. Is there an easy way to do this?

Hello everyone,After the latest update to 14.12, TruePlay doesn’t change the sound at all at my Arc+Sub gen3.Besides the known problem of cutting the bass down, there is no change in the sound whatsoever. On my Sonos One for example, I can clearly hear the difference when togling TruePlay. On Arc, none, zero, nada.Did enyone expierience the same issue?
